I AM the Football Star

Chapter 115: Chapter 46: Final Eighteen-Man Roster, All Europe Live Broadcast

”Why not a perfect ten, but a nine-point-five? Lu Yang deserves a full ten!”

”This is a true genius! Can you believe Lu Yang’s previous rating was only C?”

”No, he’s not a genius because he’s a strong player! He’s surpassed the genius level!”

”Not to mention Lu Yang, Bai Zhami absolutely shouldn’t be just a B-level rating either!”

”Morici strategizes with skill, completely controlling the game and capable of setting team tactics; his understanding of soccer is definitely at a genius level. He should have an S rating!”

”Sogel, this all-around central forward, can’t go without an S, can he?”

”If Aguirre can get an S, then Versachi definitely must be an S too!”

”Honestly, the players in Team B are outstanding; they played a perfect match under adversity!”

”Team A’s players were disappointing; they put themselves before the team, which is unacceptable in soccer.”

”My God, did you see it? Lu Yang’s running distance data!”

”14km! He ran almost twice the distance of Aguirre!”

”Ironman, he’s absolutely an Ironman!”

”He didn’t seem tired at all. In fact, I think his speed even increased a bit in the final minutes!”

”Salvich also ran 12km. Team B’s running data shows they had the equivalent of an extra one and a half players compared to Team A! There’s no reason they shouldn’t win!”

The audience was completely won over by Team B’s performance in the match.

This battle propelled Lu Yang’s rating to A level.

It also garnered countless fans for many of Team B’s players.

Likewise, Lu Yang received a random gift pack as a reward for the victory in this match.

He opened it.

He couldn’t believe it would be another defensive skill. If so, the system was really being too unfair.

”Ding, you have received a Star-level Skill, C Luo’s Elevator Ball!”

Lu Yang’s eyes lit up.

Since scoring a free kick in the thirty-eighth round last season, he hadn’t stopped attempting it.

But the difficulty of taking free kicks was indeed very high, and he didn’t have the ability to consistently score from free kicks.

Now with the assistance of a skill, he might be able to patch up this shortcoming.

At least when Morici is off his game, he can give it a try.

...

As time passed, the ratings for Star of Italy rose even higher.

Not just soccer fans, many people who didn’t watch soccer were drawn to these young men playing the sport.

On the other hand, with the final three matches approaching, all of Europe focused on this program, especially the English.

Because the teams that the Star of Italy Team would challenge next came from their England.

And in the Star of Italy Training Camp, players were leaving every day, leaving only eighteen in the end.

On the day the team formed, Lu Yang was overwhelmingly voted as the team captain.

And under the suggestion of the five mentors, the team confirmed the match formation.

352!

In the defense line, with Lam defending, it’s relatively solid.

Lu Yang and Morici paired as double defensive midfielders, making the work less tiring and allowing them to fill in the gaps this formation left on the flanks.

Salvich played as an advanced midfielder, but judging by his and Lu Yang’s playing styles, the two would likely swap positions frequently, creating different styles of attack through the middle.

Of course, the attacking organization of a 352 formation is relatively simple, with fewer variations.

The real ace of this formation lies with the two wing midfielders.

The players in these two positions can attack as wingers or retreat as fullbacks. If they’re strong enough, they can create a wing corridor. But if they’re weak, this formation loses all offensive power.

And in the Star of Italy Team, both the left wing midfielder Sevajos and the right wing midfielder Canyes are genuinely S-level players. Among young players, few are better than them.

Sogel and Parrot served as double central forwards; one tall, one fast, a classic combo.

Sogel acted as either a fulcrum or aerial threat.

Parrot played the part of a frontline killer, lethal with a single strike.

Bai Zhami remained poised on the bench as a secret weapon.

Of course, this was also a last resort.

Although Bai Zhami is extremely fast, his inability to cooperate with teammates is truly a fatal flaw.

His presence almost locks down any attacking play down that side, with no collaboration or variation.

Thus, Bai Zhami is best suited as a substitute and often comes on when the team needs to take a do-or-die gamble.

This lineup also sparked widespread discussion in European Football.

French Football: Sevajos, the Monaco Ligue 1 supernova, leads an alternative Italy National Youth Team to battle in England. A terrifying lineup is freshly unveiled—can they unleash devilish wings and annihilate the Championship team Millwall?

As the number one black shop in the Five Major Leagues, in the past decade Monaco has achieved terrifying profits in the transfer window far surpassing everyone’s traditional understanding of black shops.

They have a unique knack for discovering and nurturing young talents.

And Sevajos, without a doubt, would make Monaco a lot of money again.

Kicker: Fueled by Dort’s interest in Porto’s Parrot, the alternative ”Italy U19” takes on England U19—who do you support?

The alternative Italy U19 label is something Kicker first put forward and has been well received.

Because although the Star of Italy team includes players like the 22-year-old Parrot and the 21-year-old Sogel, their average age, with Lu Yang in the mix, indeed hovers around nineteen.

By comparison, it’s not clear who’s bullying whom when facing the England U19.

Asi Bao: Juventus youngster Canyes has unlimited potential, leading the Star of Italy Team to face off in England. It is reported that Barça is observing this young player, capable of handling various positions like right-back and right midfielder.
