I AM the Football Star

Chapter 118: Chapter 47: The Brutality of English Football Shattered the Wings of Italian Football! (Part 2)

Their strategy was very successful, making it very difficult for the Star of Italy Team to attack.

Fortunately, Sevajos and Canyes remembered Lu Yang’s instructions before the match.

If the attack can’t be opened up, assist the team in defense more, temporarily acting as full-backs.

So the flying wing slowed down, becoming a tail wing.

Millwall’s right flank player possibly thought Sevajos was easy to bully, dribbling the ball over here ready to break through.

But the next moment...

Bam!

Lu Yang executed a beautiful slide tackle, not only completing the interception but also knocking the opponent directly to the ground.

But it was a beautiful defense.

However, the opponent wouldn’t let it go, getting up and rushing towards Lu Yang.

He knew Lu Yang hadn’t fouled, but since the opposite team was all youngsters, wouldn’t it be a waste not to bully them?

Frightening the opponent now would mean they face less defensive interference the next time they break through, that’s the mentality of seasoned players.

”Do you want to break my leg, brat!” Millwall’s number eight player shouted angrily.

However, he didn’t expect.

Lu Yang also walked towards him, colliding chest to chest, head to head, and roared: ”If you use such rough fouls on my teammates again, you will get more! I promise!”

The number eight player was momentarily bewildered.

Was he being threatened?

Who the hell is the real tough one here?

The referee came over in time to stop the dispute.

Blowing the whistle in a match with the English, it’s normal, even if you’re the referee, you’ll have to get used to it.

But the referee also glanced at Lu Yang in surprise.

This Asian player is really tough!

Sevajos next to him was quite moved.

He heard what Lu Yang just said.

Lu Yang was standing up for him.

”Sevajos, take a break, and when you’ve recovered, go for it, they won’t dare to do anything to you, trust me.” Lu Yang patted Sevajos on the shoulder, then returned to his position.

This type of football was something Sevajos had never experienced with that young team in Monaco.

Sevajos’s confidence returned.

But soon, the Star of Italy Team suffered a blow.

Canyes was knocked away by the opponent, losing the ball.

The opponent seized the opportunity for a bottom cross, Morici tried to block but was also knocked away, not only failing to stop the opponent but also falling to the ground himself.

Millwall players were very skilled at utilizing their physical advantage, especially their strength.

Bam!

Bottom Cross!

The opponent’s large central forward overpowered Lam, with a Lion’s Head Shake, breaking the deadlock first!

Lam looked at the opponent’s height of 1.93 meters, nearly ten centimeters taller than him, he really couldn’t defend against high balls.

The right center-back of Star of Italy, although tall enough, was too slow and couldn’t keep up with the opponent’s large central forward.

This was also the reason Lam found it hard to get real opportunities at Liverpool. His figure would be an opportunity in La Liga, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga, but in the Premier League and Serie A, it was difficult.

Because in those two leagues, the former has too many large central forwards who like high ball tactics, which Lam cannot defend against.

While the latter has many high-quality big center-backs, Lam’s competitiveness is also not strong enough.

”Oh... the defense against high balls is a problem for the Star of Italy Team, they’re in trouble today, Millwall’s large central forward is 1.93 meters, and the Star of Italy’s defense has no answer for him! He’s wreaking havoc in the penalty area, entering unopposed!”

The commentator’s words were a little harsh but also extremely realistic.

Lu Yang and Morici exchanged a glance, the message was clear.

This time it really couldn’t be defended!

Even Lam had no way, their defense really had no solution.

The only plan for now, is to counterattack!

”Canyes, get ready to break through!”

”Sevajos, have you rested enough?”

Morici and Lu Yang informed the wings of the team simultaneously.

After the kick-off, Canyes set off a series of offensive storms down the right flank.

He, Morici, and Versachi coordinated, utilizing his speed to repeatedly perform bottom crosses.

But because he primarily plays right-back, being a right-footer, he only has the function of bottom crossing, so he’s relatively easier to defend against.

Perhaps against players of the same age, Canyes could have his way like a right forward.

But facing truly strong opponents, his disadvantage of only being a right-back is exposed.

He couldn’t truly pose a threat like a flying wing cutting inside.

And a common bottom cross, honestly, since when have English teams been afraid of it?

They were trained for this!

Sogel was struggling in the penalty area, as a pivot large central forward, being pinned by the opponent’s tall center-backs, it was very difficult for him to perform.

And Parrot was not good at this muscle battle.

So, the Star of Italy had to shift their offensive, trying to open up the left flank.

Sevajos became the last hope of the entire village.

But this time, even though he summoned the courage and was ready.

Yet when the opponent charged over, he was still knocked away.

Unless he could use his speed to ensure the opponent didn’t have a chance to bump into him.

But unfortunately, he couldn’t.

This group of muscle men, capable of charging and colliding.

On the Star of Italy’s side, perhaps only Bai Zhami has the absolute speed to completely shake them off.

This is the difference between being ”fast” and ”very fast”.

Only the latter is invincible, able to leverage a singular speed trait to create attacking advantages.

But soon, Lu Yang changed his play style.

He signaled Sevajos to pass back to him.

Then Lu Yang, with a large sweeping Rabona, directly tricked the player beside him, drawing applause from the entire stadium.
