I AM the Football Star

Chapter 138: Chapter 54: Galaxy Battleship of the Italian Third Division, San Remo (Part 2)

And the former... once missed, it’s gone forever.

This is almost equivalent to the difference between becoming famous young and becoming famous; the latter can happen anytime, but the former can only be accomplished while you’re young.

When a superstar ages, even if they can still earn a high salary in lower-level leagues, like Latu Yidi, they have already lost the ability to create miracles. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been kicked out by the big clubs.

So... for those confident players, the correct order should be to create miracles first, then join the big clubs.

It’s just that the cost of creating miracles is too high, so few dare to gamble on it.

Look at Kane in the Premier League, still without a major championship win, and the team’s honors can be counted on one hand; this is the cost of creating miracles.

”I’ll talk to the management; Morici will also get a brand new contract.” Sotu knew what Lu Yang meant by bringing up Morici, and then said, ”Oh, and I’ve brought you two helpers, you’ll like them.”

”Who? It’s not Sogel and Versachi, right? No way, no way?” Lu Yang exaggerated his tone.

”How did you know?” Sotu was stunned for a moment, as not many people were aware of this.

Even before the Star of Italy program started recording, San Remo had actually finalized Sogel and Versachi.

And under Sotu’s influence, Sogel was loaned to San Remo by Milan for free.

While Versachi was rented by San Remo for just Fifteen thousand euros, with a purchase clause of Fifty thousand euros.

These two deals were still considered normal before the Star of Italy aired.

But now... both Sogel and Versachi have become one of the new stars in Italian Football, and their current value wouldn’t be less than two million, after all, they are produced by big clubs.

Regardless of their commercial value, their joining San Remo provides great help for next season’s San Remo.

Versachi is an all-around warrior in the midfield, capable of playing any position. Whether as a starter or a substitute, he can greatly enhance the team’s strength.

And Sogel, as a big central forward, possesses the ability to break through tough defenses and can serve as a pivot, undoubtedly boosting San Remo’s attacking power significantly.

Their arrival will make San Remo like a tiger with wings added.

Thus, the lineup for San Remo next season has also taken shape.

Soon, Lu Yang rejected Arsenal’s offer of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Euros.

Although Arsenal stated that this was their final offer.

But for safety’s sake, San Remo still announced that it was Lu Yang’s decision.

This would directly dash Arsenal’s hopes.

For a time, the entire European Football was in an uproar.

Two hundred fifty thousand?

Who was the last young player Arsenal bought for this amount?

It was Fabregas!

And now, there are actually young players daring to refuse Winter?

Who does he think he is?

Fabregas?

Even Fabregas only flew away after his wings had hardened.

So far, there are only young players Arsenal can’t afford, none who are unwilling to come to Arsenal!

For a while, many people said Lu Yang was self-destructing his future.

They said he didn’t know that the experience in a big club is what truly transforms a player.

Others said Lu Yang’s refusal was because he had a plan.

Judging by Lu Yang’s hexagonal playing style, he would have a hard time surviving in higher-level leagues, at least finding it difficult to perform as comprehensively as he does in lower-level leagues.

He’s trying to avoid having his shortcomings exposed too early.

Some also said Lu Yang wanted to advance to Serie B with San Remo, and this kind of promotion thrill can greatly motivate players, but it’s a risky investment.

If San Remo fails to advance to Serie B, Lu Yang would be punished, his market value could plummet, and it would also be tough for him to have a bright future.

No one is interested in a player from the Third Division.

If not for this Star of Italy program, Arsenal wouldn’t have noticed Lu Yang; such an opportunity doesn’t come twice.

And while many people have confidence in San Remo advancing to Serie B, not all teams in the Italian Third Division are pushovers, and several teams have received ”support” from Serie B or even Serie A teams this year, making them very strong.

After all, the players from these teams are loaned out, primarily to those teams with ambitions to be promoted.

In fact, many loaned players have indeed helped some teams achieve promotion, such as Diego Talista and others. They have standards not inferior to players in the lower leagues, yet they appear in the lower divisions, which is simply a violation!

”I had anticipated this.” Mr. Winter said in an interview regarding Lu Yang’s situation, openly saying, ”From his playing style, you can see that he is a player who likes to be in control.”

”I must admit, being bought by a big club causes young players to indeed lose that control. It’s a very tough choice, there is no right or wrong.”

”I will pay attention to his development in Italy; if he can continue to perform excellently like this, Arsenal will take action in the future. By then, I believe he won’t refuse Arsenal again!”

Mr. Winter’s interview helped Lu Yang get out of a tight spot and made Lu Yang have a better impression of him.

This gentleman, although sometimes a bit shady, is overall quite decent.

Compared to many bizarre operations in the football world, Mr. Winter can be called conscientious.

For example, when Bayern asked Guardiola about De Bruyne, should we buy him for you?

Guardiola said there’s no need.

Then Manchester City turned around and signed De Bruyne, and half a year later, Guardiola also went to Manchester City.
