I AM the Football Star

Chapter 130: Chapter 51: The Final Battle! (Part 3)

Lu Yang kicked the football ten meters forward and then burst into action.

An Arsenal player collided with Lu Yang but failed to stop him.

After a slight shake, Lu Yang left the opponent behind.

He combined speed with physicality, overpowering his opponent!

A clear path lay ahead.

Bai Zhami knew that Lu Yang was very likely to pass the ball to him, so he sprinted down the sideline.

Arsenal’s right-back retreated with Bai Zhami.

This left a huge gap in Arsenal’s side defense.

Lu Yang didn’t pass the ball and instead cut inside with it!

Arsenal’s defensive midfielder and right center-back approached Lu Yang, ready to close in on him.

Previously, such a defensive tactic successfully stopped players like Sevajos, Parrot, Sogel, and there was no reason it couldn’t stop Lu Yang.

However, Lu Yang nudged the ball to the left, and with the football seemingly about to pass by the opponent’s center-back, he had to turn right to prepare to bump into Lu Yang as he broke through.

Unfortunately, the football suddenly shifted from his right to his left.

Rabona!

And it was an extremely wide Rabona!

Arsenal’s center-back lost his balance and fell to the ground.

With this move, Lu Yang secured ample space.

He stepped right to retrieve the ball, then lifted his right leg.

Arsenal’s defensive midfielder slid in directly, also ending up on the ground.

If Lu Yang shot, he would complete the block.

But Lu Yang didn’t shoot; instead, he lightly tapped the ball with his foot, waiting for the opponent to slide past him, then passed the ball to the right.

There, Sogel, who had pulled out of the penalty area earlier, had a perfect opportunity to take the shot.

Boom!

Sogel shot.

Everyone was excited and ready to applaud.

Lu Yang’s dribbling was brilliant.

A Rabona tricked a defender into falling down.

A fake shot and real pass floored another.

This play was reminiscent of the goal that first brought Lu Yang to people’s attention.

The Lumberjack shot!

Bam!

What a shame!

Arsenal’s goalkeeper denied Sogel’s goal; he was also Arsenal’s only starting player on the field and England’s national goalkeeper!

However, in the next moment, a foot slid in, blocking the outgoing ball and deflecting it back towards the goal.

The Arsenal goalkeeper had no chance.

The ball landed in the net.

Star of Italy, one to two, pulled back a goal.

”Oh! After delivering a brilliant pass, Lu Yang didn’t stay still; he charged into the penalty area, sharing the defensive pressure on Sogel.”

”Perhaps this is the reward for hard work! The deflected ball flew towards Lu Yang, he intercepted it with a high-difficulty leg raise and sent it back.”

”Lu Yang might owe thanks to the opposing goalkeeper’s powerful punch; otherwise, this ball might not have been blocked into the goal, as Lu Yang’s leg had no strength, raising it was his last instinct.”

The commentator spoke as the camera panned to Mr. Winter to see his reaction.

Unfortunately, Mr. Winter’s face showed no emotion, steady as a rock.

”He’s lucky, unless he can prove that luck is also his talent, my assessment of him won’t change.” Winter never easily changed his judgment. He instructed the team to continue attacking, putting enough defensive pressure on the opposition.

Replacing defense with offense, this is the advanced realm of defense.

But soon, Mr. Winter was moved.
