I AM the Football Star

Chapter 104: Chapter 42: Captain Election, Five S Stand United!

After the test, three C-level players were promoted to B-level.

And Morici was promoted from B-level to A-level.

He is no longer an unknown in the team.

But some people are still so unlucky.

For example, Lu Yang, still C-level.

Also Bai Zhami, being from Inter Milan Youth Training, remains B-level.

However, his stats are excellent.

While his dribbling, passing, and shooting may not have reached A-level standards, they are actually not worse than Vedian.

Speed is Bai Zhami’s super skill, the best in the entire training camp, even faster than Vedian.

But his rebellious personality and inability to learn team tactics are too fatal, and verified by Inter, so his level was not adjusted.

After the test, the mentor group formed the forty-five players into groups of five, and let them train in these groups over the next few days.

The five S-level players obviously wouldn’t be grouped together; they each led a team.

But Lu Yang was surprised to find that he was in a group with Morici, Bai Zhami, Versachi, and Sogel.

Three A-level players!

Such a lineup is considered good among the nine teams.

For some reason, Lu Yang felt that when Maniero read the names of his group, his tone had some change.

Inside, it felt like there was some trick involved.

With the team lacking in every position, Lu Yang even thought if this was an arrangement by Sotu and Maniero for familiarization in advance?

After all, Sogel is from Milan Youth Training, and Sotu is a Milan legend.

Versachi is from Purple Lily Youth Training, and Carrel has a good relationship with Maniero, and Maniero has a good relationship with Sotu.

Could it be that these two will join San Remo before the season starts?

The more Lu Yang thought about it, the more he felt it was possible.

So he used his eyes to ask Maniero.

And Maniero pretended not to see, which instead confirmed some of Lu Yang’s guesses.

At this moment, Lu Yang knew how to get along with this small team.

These will all be brothers fighting side by side in the future!

So, during the following training, Lu Yang spoke frequently.

”Sogel, how can your passing be so splendid? You are the best pivot central forward I’ve ever seen!”

”No, don’t be modest Sogel, I even see the shadow of that big central forward from Real Madrid in you!”

”Look at your clever heel pass, you could play midfield, you’re almost rendering Morici jobless!”

Morici expressed exasperation at this!

”Versachi, why are you always so versatile? Tell me, is there anything you can’t do? My god, you’re 1.81 meters tall, you can finish all tasks from defender to forward by yourself!”

”Hahaha, no no no, Versachi you’re too modest, Morici’s height can’t compare to yours!”

Morici gritted his teeth, so can love really disappear?

In just two days, the atmosphere of Lu Yang’s group was unusually harmonious.

Even Bai Zhami could exchange a few words with everyone.

This was starkly different from some groups with tense atmospheres.

Lu Yang’s leadership abilities shone through during this period.

But there were still issues.

When Lu Yang’s group practiced, Bai Zhami truly couldn’t get into the cooperation.

His sense of position was extremely poor.

He always didn’t know when to make a pass or how to make a more suitable pass.

Especially whenever he saw Lu Yang, Morici, Sogel, Versachi execute a beautiful one-touch pass, he always felt an overwhelming sense of inferiority.

Because such picturesque passes would get terminated upon reaching him.

His passes were always untimely too.

That night.

After training, Bai Zhami was still training on the field and hadn’t returned to the dormitory.

It was almost time to sleep, and Lu Yang didn’t find Bai Zhami in the room; the five of them stayed in the same dormitory.

Lu Yang went out to look and quickly found Bai Zhami on the field.

”Hey, Bai Zhami... are you... crying?” Lu Yang saw Bai Zhami’s eyes were a bit red.

”No, it’s just sweat.” Bai Zhami said stubbornly as he wiped tears from his eyes.

”Hmm, I must have been mistaken.” Lu Yang sat next to Bai Zhami and watched the sky for a while before slowly speaking, ”Actually... there’s a kind of football that doesn’t really need teammates to cooperate with.”

Bai Zhami was very sensitive, his spirits lifted, but then he deflated again: ”Are you comforting me? Thank you, Lu, you’re a good partner!”

Lu Yang shook his head and said: ”I’m not comforting you. In one World Cup, a player, whenever he got the ball, faced multiple players double-teaming him, with no path to pass the ball out.”

”He could only play one-man football!”

Bai Zhami asked: ”Who was he?”

Lu Yang said: ”Lionel Messi!”

Bai Zhami frowned: ”Never heard of him.”

Lu Yang said: ”It doesn’t matter if you haven’t heard of him. His style of play is different from yours, he has strong organizational skills, he only faces such situations when desperate. Whereas you... your lack of tactical and cooperative skills makes you face such desperate situations in every game.”

”Forgive my frankness and audacity, but what I mean to say is, even without coordinating with teammates, you can play professional football that’s useful to the team. Messi helped his team at the time by playing that way.”

Bai Zhami stood up: ”Really? What way?”
