Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

In this world exists a land; vast and boundless, it bears the weight of countless lives, nurturing innumerable extraordinary beings.

The entities that dwell upon it call it the Demon Realm...

Perhaps it wasn’t always known as the Demon Realm, yet as battles and plundering continued, as worlds wailed and natives cursed, gradually, the original name of this world was forgotten; either out of others’ fears or out of the arrogance of the land’s inhabitants. Thus, the term Demon Realm continued to spread.

It signifies destruction and disaster, emits a rot and despairing aura, represents the end of countless worlds; it is the source of all calamity!

Yet ironically, for some unknown reason, no creature has ever flown beyond the boundaries of this star to take a good look at the planet from afar.

It’s as if there is an invisible shackle, or some strange restriction; even for a Level 11 Demon Fiend, the idea has never even occurred in their mind. Perhaps in their eyes, this planet is not different from those spherical soil lumps they’ve annihilated completely.

Until today...

Or perhaps...

Over a decade ago.

...

He had long forgotten the name of the star system where the Demon Realm resided, but He could not forget the name of that planet...

Riyarda...

Place of hope and origin, ah, that was indeed so long ago. Perhaps now, it’s better to call this broken and abandoned planet before me the ”Demon Realm.”

He stands in the Void, radiating pure white, as if the source of all beginnings, bringing endless hope, gazing into the distance, but all that’s visually captured is a planet grotesque enough to be called deformed.

From a distance, the Demon Realm appears as a hemispherical celestial body, its upper part normal in appearance, though slightly oversized—probably just slightly lesser than a star. Yet its lower half seems to have suffered some star-extinguishing catastrophic impact, with jagged cracks cleaving the entire celestial body directly, leaving the lower half missing, exposing its stratums and inner magma.

Under the influence of planetary gravity and some unknown force, these molten magmas continue to flow incessantly. Although the overall world maintains normal operations, it’s nonetheless a world that has been destroyed in every aspect.

Reconstruct the celestial body... He can, and even He residing on this planet can...

Yet only for this planet, They cannot.

As He flies closer, nearing the celestial body, He vaguely catches sight of the vast Origin Energy escaping from the planet’s fissure and the death intent lurking beneath its vibrant life. In strict terms, this planet has reached its end. But due to Their existence, this planet has sustained itself till now, incessantly launching terrifying aggressive wars—though this merely sustains rather than fundamentally solves the problem.

Now, even He can do nothing but silently await the approach of death.

”So, that’s why you called me here, my old comrade...”

He softly murmurs, yet his voice carries further away. Until a call from afar comes: ”You talk too much.”

...

Space at this moment seems like a folding paper. With just a step, He crosses countless distances, arriving beneath the celestial body—where the hideous fissure lies.

Beneath His feet stretches boundless Void, overhead, a boiling, scorching sea of fire, while at its center clings a massive tumor nearly ten thousand meters long.

The tumor, akin to the heart of the Demon Realm, trembles slightly, consistently, and stream upon stream of Origin Energy spills forth from it, swiftly merging into the entire celestial body to maintain the operational normalcy of the Demon Realm.

He paused to observe for a moment, then gently shook His head.

This planet, indeed, has died; every moment countless Origin Energy dissipates into thin air. Were it not for the entity within the tumor, replacing the heart of the world, constantly fabricating Origin Energy with Level 12 power to sustain the world’s operation, this planet would no longer exist in the world.

But output is less than dissipation... Hence arises an awkward scene, like a cancer patient in the late stage lying in bed, continuously prolonging life with expensive medication, yet life marches inexorably toward its end—just the word ”extend” is enough to explain all that has happened here and the ultimate outcome. At this rate, within five years, this planet will completely collapse and vanish, which is the fundamental reason for His presence here.

”Let’s begin.”

A voice emanates from the tumor, and He also seems to respond softly with a mutter: ”Then let’s begin.”

Thus, light appeared.

An unrivaled flash suddenly explodes at the bottom of the Demon Realm; that radiance marks the beginning of all creation and the end of all finality. Multicolored lights gush forth from His body, expanding and enlarging continuously, in an instant enveloping the fissure beneath the Demon Realm.

Layers of light spots incessantly surge from within the light, expand, and subsequently, the light vividly becomes substantial, until a gigantic light sphere engulfs the hideous fissure at the Demon Realm’s lower part, and finally, the light solidifies.

Seen from afar, the originally hemispherical Demon Realm at this instant becomes a complete whole; the upper part remains the same, while the lower part is entirely composed of light.

This light, gentle and not glaring, yet if a Level 11 powerful expert closely observes, they would discover that this super-light sphere the size of half a celestial body is entirely congealed from a vast amount of Origin Energy, those Origin Energies ceaselessly swimming within the light sphere, like vibrant little fishes, until two beams of white light are discharged from His eyes, initiating the first step...

The Origin Energy within the light sphere continues linking up, coagulating into chain-like shapes. These massive chains thrust fiercely into the tumor, accompanied by light surges, the tumor throbs as if rejuvenated, expanding in diameter, the Origin Energy floods continuously, and the quantity of Origin Energy spilling from the Demon Realm decreases steadily.

”Fifty years... I will aid you here for fifty years!”

”Results?”

”A million years, with fifty years of my time and the power of twenty world hearts, to extend the Demon Realm’s life by a million years once more.”

”That will suffice...”

Cold words emanate from the tumor, afterwards, both fall into silence.

Until a voice resonates in His ears.

”The last time.”

His face hangs low, its expression indiscernible, only the output force increases further.

”Ah, the last time indeed, for I am weary of this too...”
