Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 393: Chapter 26: The Earth Community Plan, Lin Haifeng’s Ambition, and the Unprecedented Colossal Entity!_2

Hearing Annie’s consolation, Wen Yu felt relieved and gently hugged her.

Cyclops, and Star... I’ve forgotten... But they don’t seem important...

The communicator rang. Kuangliu, sitting quietly in the luxurious suite of Red Stone Hotel, gently answered the call.

Claire’s voice came from the communicator, ”Annie has basically taken control of Wen Yu. It’s time to initiate the plan.”

Upon hearing this, Kuangliu furrowed his brows slightly.

”So, could you explain to me what ’basically’ means?”

Claire was momentarily speechless before hesitantly explaining, ”Annie told me that Wen Yu’s will has been completely controlled, and he’s currently undergoing memory replacement. However, there’s one thing she’s still unsure about. Wen Yu’s two soul pets have disappeared... We don’t know if Wen Yu put them into his Soul Realm space. Annie didn’t dare to ask; any mention of the soul pets causes violent Spiritual Fluctuations in Wen Yu.”

”Hmm.”

After pondering for a moment, Kuangliu continued, ”In that case, continue to deepen the mental imprint. He’s too much of a threat. Surely, you can imagine the consequences if anything goes wrong?”

Claire sighed quietly on the other end of the communicator, reluctantly telling Kuangliu, ”But the Night Daemon Smilodon is going berserk! Its attacks have been quite fierce these past few days. I’m afraid Anna won’t be able to withstand its desperate counterattack...”

Irritation slowly crept into the corners of Kuangliu’s eyes.

Incompetent fools, he silently cursed, then let out a heavy sigh.

These Americans, even those in high positions, can’t shake off their foolish gambling habits. The plan’s success rate is currently only eighty percent, with too many uncontrollable factors, yet these fools want to initiate the final phase now. A twenty percent risk is far, far too great! In Kuangliu’s eyes, this was completely irrational!

Perhaps sensing Kuangliu’s irritation and impatience, Claire spoke again from the other end of the communicator. ”The plan can’t afford any more delays. Wen Yu’s two soul pets aren’t that important. As long as the plan succeeds, those soul pets won’t escape our grasp. And don’t forget, launching the plan sooner benefits you. If it’s delayed and something goes wrong, the Night Daemon Smilodon could be lost...”

”Am I to understand that you’re threatening me?”

”No, this is not a threat. You need to understand one thing: at this stage, we, the U.S. military, have already brought Wen Yu under control. This means our strategic objective has already been achieved.”

”Whereas your target—the Night Daemon Smilodon—is not yet under your control. I’m saying this for your own good.”

”Hmph!” Kuangliu snorted heavily. ”Cut the crap. If the Night Daemon Smilodon can’t be controlled, you can forget about controlling the Netherworld. Ultimately, aren’t you just looking out for your own interests?”

Claire fell silent.

After a long silence, it was Kuangliu who finally compromised, ”Proceed with the plan. Once Wen Yu captures the Night Daemon Smilodon, have him bring it to the Red Stone Hotel.”

”Hmm.”

Claire responded softly and then hung up.

After ending the call, Kuangliu heavily massaged his temples. He picked up his drink, walked to the windowsill, and gazed at the deepening night below. His mind raced, meticulously reviewing the trap set for Wen Yu and the Night Daemon Smilodon, searching for any flaws.

Meanwhile, at Annie’s estate, Wen Yu lay quietly on the bed, while Annie sat in a chair beside it, silently watching his profile.

A quiet, eerie atmosphere enveloped the entire room.

Until a Spiritual Fluctuation suddenly transmitted into Annie’s mind.

”Begin, little sister...”

A flicker of hesitation crossed Annie’s eyes, but this emotional tremor quickly faded. Slowly, she raised her hands, and a purple light gradually enveloped Wen Yu’s head...

The next second, Wen Yu’s eyes snapped open.

He was still in the bedroom. Now, however, the entire room was filled with a faint mist, lending the space a hazy, dreamlike beauty.

”Darling, you’re awake...”

A voice called out from across the bed. ”Annie,” dressed in a long black gown, slowly walked to the bedside and lightly kissed Wen Yu’s lips.

”Annie...”

Wen Yu softly called his lover’s name, then forcefully pulled the beautiful woman before him into a tight embrace.

”Annie” gently caressed the back of Wen Yu’s head and said softly, ”Here, please call me Anna...”

At this moment, Kuangliu, drink in hand, stood by the window, recalling his first conversation with Lin Haifeng after arriving in Las Vegas.

”Kuangliu, I need to give you a mission.”

”What mission?”

”Before that, I need to tell you something. It’s about a decision made jointly by all national organizations in this world—the Earth Community Plan!”

”The Earth Community—its full name is the Earth Human Race Union. It’s a plan I initiated, which has been jointly approved for implementation by the leaders of 124 nations worldwide.”

”And I... will be the first Supreme Leader of the Earth Community!”

Hearing this sudden news, Kuangliu took a long moment to process it before responding, ”The price must have been considerable...”

”It was manageable. Anyway, it took over twenty days of wrangling to get this sorted out. It’s just a pity you weren’t there at the time; otherwise, it would have been easier.”
