Chapter 447: Chapter 337: The Clash Begins, Blue Owl Knight Order

Those arrows shot forth, but were blocked by the curtain of light thrown out by the chain scythes.

Most of the arrows slammed into the light curtain, exploding into a mass of blue-white frost magic energy.

Some arrows hit the walls of the surrounding village houses, leaving bowl-sized holes and causing frost to form around them.

These arrows were imbued with some frost magic power, making them far more powerful than ordinary arrows.

The Blue Owl Cavalry was split into two squads, each composed of five teams, and the attack from the east road was just one of them.

Just as the Church Heavy Armor Shooters from the Tower of the Raven launched their attack, the Cold Crow Halberd Warriors, stationed on the eastern village road, began to move.

They raised their halberds and launched an offensive towards the Blue Owl Cavalry ahead.

These Cold Crow Halberd Warriors were all robust, with black chain armor on their upper bodies, and leather pants and boots on the lower bodies.

They wore metal half helmets and had black masks covering their faces, leaving only their eyes visible.

Their eyes were cold, showing no extra emotion, appearing ruthless and merciless, each a master of killing.

Each halberd was about two meters long, resembling axe blades and hooked spears, appearing ferocious and overwhelmingly powerful.

The first team of Cold Crow Halberd Warriors took the initiative to attack at this critical moment, with six halberd warriors advancing side by side, dividing into two rows per team.

They advanced swiftly with heavy steps, holding their halberds high.

”Activate Cold Crow Power! Charge directly!”

”Prepare to execute the slicing kill!

One of the Cold Crow Halberd Warriors, slightly taller than the rest, gave a soft command, causing all the halberd warriors to quicken their pace.

This figure was presumably the captain of this team.

Upon his command, all halberds held by the attacking warriors were instantly covered in frost.

Frosty air emerged from the halberd blades as they quickly crossed over ten meters to stand before the Blue Owl Knights, swinging their halberds to the utmost and slashing fiercely at the Blue Owl Cavalry in front!

”Puff!”

”Puff!”

With dull thuds, these Cold Crow Halberd Warriors executed their slicing kill skill, simultaneously activating the Cold Crow Power, with a 1.75 times slashing damage boost, making their halberds nearly unstoppable.

They directly sliced through the blue light curtain and continued to strike the Blue Owl Cavalry, cutting long gashes in their battle armor and causing significant damage, resulting in the Blue Owl Cavalry bleeding profusely.

Moreover, each strike of the halberd added 20 points of frost damage which could freeze the area near the impact point, slowing enemy movements.

The warhorses beneath the front line neighed repeatedly, while the front Blue Owl Knights cried out in pain and roared in anger.

The terrain around was too narrow for the cavalry; the village road, only five to six meters wide, allowed just four to five knights abreast, rendering their mobility advantages useless and preventing any localized dominance.

In contrast, on the Cold Crow Halberd Warriors’ side, despite only six warriors attacking side by side, once in close combat, they were nearly unstoppable, particularly with those fiercely swinging halberds.

The Blue Owl Cavalry found themselves at a disadvantage shortly after engaging.

Clustered together in such a terrain, the horses beneath them struggled to move, making them sitting ducks.

Atop the Tower of the Raven, the heavy armored shooters continued to fire, and arrows imbued with magical power flew through the air. Under this assault, the front Blue Owl Cavalry and their horses were quickly cut to pieces.

Although both sides were Tier Three soldiers, the differing terrain and environment made a significant impact on their combat effectiveness.

Caught off guard, four or five Blue Owl Cavalry were mercilessly slashed to pieces by the fierce Cold Crow Halberd Warriors.

The cavalry at the back raised their arm shields to defend against the arrows as best as they could.

At the same time, they turned their horses to leave, as the east road of the village was too narrow. Here, the Calamity Raven Church could easily defend this vital route with a small force.

Although the village road ran from west to east, its width varied.

Overall, it was wide in the west and narrow in the east, with the west being the main entrance and passage into the village, while the east was secondary, resulting in a noticeable difference in foot traffic between the two directions.

The western part of the road at its widest, especially near the village entrance, could be as wide as ten to twenty meters, while the east road was only five to six meters wide, with the village houses on either side lower and distributed more densely.

This made it almost impossible for the cavalry to exert their combat strength here.

After losing five cavalrymen, the Tier Three Blue Owl Cavalry quickly reorganized their ranks, turned their horses, and began to retreat rapidly.

At the rear, four or five Blue Owl Cavalry swung their chain scythes as they retreated.

The length of these chain scythes was around twelve to thirteen meters, with a crescent-shaped iron scythe at the end.

They swung the chains, maximizing the kinetic advantage of the ends before throwing them towards the pursuing Cold Crow Halberd Warriors.

The sharp iron scythes, propelled by the force of the swung chains, slashed fiercely at the halberd warriors.
