Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 446: Chapter 336: Spectating the Drama, the Composed Calamity Raven Church

This is the current entirety of the forces on the side of the Calamity Raven Church in Odu Village.

As for the excavation site of the Burial Ground, there is a squad of Heretical Giant Power Knights, a squad of Calamity Mages, two squads of Cold Crow Halberd Warriors, eight Church Deacons, and three Saint Elders.

In terms of manpower alone, the Calamity Raven Church is at an absolute disadvantage.

The defensive measures that they’ve painstakingly set up over the days are gradually being dismantled without having served any real purpose.

Zong Shen observed all of this through the projection screen of the Magic Energy Mechanical Falcon.

After the Raven Dome was breached, the Expedition Army gained the upper hand.

They steadily cleared the various traps and fortifications on the outskirts of the village.

Due to the lack of numerical superiority, the Apostle Corps Warriors of the Calamity Raven Church chose a defensive turtle strategy, retracting their defensive perimeter around the Tower of the Raven once again.

Purely from the current battlefield situation, the Giant City Expedition Army has absolute superiority.

Kunier, who had been enlightened by Zong Shen, was as sharp as a steel blade.

Zong Shen sat on the grass, took out a piece of dried beef, and watched the projection screen with great interest while savoring the beef.

”Come, Korby, distribute these beef jerky to everyone.”

Zong Shen took out 20 to 30 pieces of beef jerky, called for Korby, and asked him to distribute them to everyone, to supplement their hunger level and physical strength.

Hearing this, Korby dismounted from the wolf, took the beef jerky, and handed it out.

Then he took out 20 to 30 apples and over 20 pounds of dried meat, throwing them aside as dinner for Pigsy and the giant wolves under the wolf riders.

Meanwhile, the Andalusian Warhorses ridden by the Immortal Gun Cavalry simply grazed on the grass at their feet.

The easiest to maintain are the horses, even the powerful warhorses.

Pigsy, being large, could eat 20 to 30 pounds of fruit and meat at each meal, but was not picky—essentially, whatever was given, he ate.

After distributing the food, he enlarged the projection screen a bit.

Allowing the surrounding wolf riders and Immortal Gun Cavalry to watch as well.

He was extremely relaxed at that moment, having solidified the relationships over there with the Expedition Army, now just waiting for the battle in Odu Village to heat up or for new developments in the Burial Ground.

Moreover, in five hours, the dormancy of the Guide Module would completely end, with all functions unlocked.

”Everyone, pay attention. We must start studying battles of this scale now.”

”Watch how the Calamity Raven Church and the Avalon Kingdom Expedition Army fight and what tactics they employ.”

”Once our territory develops, we will also face battles of this level.”

Zong Shen pointed to the scene in the projection and spoke to the warriors beside him.

All the warriors nodded cooperatively.

These professional warriors, before being sealed into the dimension, already had some combat experience.

Compared to these professional warriors, Zong Shen actually lacked experience in dealing with medium-sized battles where the number of participants ranged between a thousand and two thousand.

Since descending, Zong Shen had experienced various battles, but they were mostly small-scale, involving no more than a hundred people. Large-scale battles like this one were quite informative for him.

Importantly, he was curious about the trump card the Calamity Raven Church had that allowed them to maintain composure and confidence in such an unevenly matched battle.

Whether before, during the siege weapon attack on the Raven Dome by the Expedition Army, or now in the projection, the Calamity Raven Church remained calm.

As the saying goes, a calm demeanor in the face of unusual circumstances often implies something hidden. Such composure was itself unusual.

Zong Shen was prepared either to attack or retreat without any concerns, eagerly anticipating the upcoming major clash between the Church Heretics and the Giant City Expedition Army.

This was truly sitting back and enjoying the show. He would never involve himself in the life-and-death struggle but would eagerly seize opportunities to reap benefits.

Zong Shen would never take sides in the disputes among Indigenous Forces. Grabbing benefits from one side wasn’t a skill, pulling wool from both sides—that was real skill.

...

While Zong Shen was comfortably watching the event unfold, some lords were already restless.

They too observed, waiting for an opportunity to act.

When they noticed the Expedition Army seemingly held the advantage, they couldn’t sit still.

Without much deep information, they could only make simple judgments from the current on-site situation, viewing the Giant City Expedition Army as certain victors.

Some bold lords couldn’t help but lead their warriors forward proactively.

From a few hundred meters away, they began shouting to Kunier, expressing their willingness to assist in attacking the Church Heretics.

Surprisingly, Kunier did not reject them, allowing them to join the attacking ranks.

In total, more than ten lords decided to join the ranks of the Expedition Army.

Knight Captain Kunier welcomed them with open arms, leading many observing lords to have similar following thoughts.

The reason these lords chose to join the Indigenous Forces was simply to cling onto the Expedition Army, hoping to be the first batch of lords to enter by leveraging their power—an act of calculated opportunism.

Witnessing this scene, most of the surrounding lords felt somewhat tempted.

Only Zong Shen, watching the projection while slowly chewing beef jerky, sneered coldly.

These people were doomed to be mere cannon fodder. There was no way a seasoned Knight Captain would let people he didn’t know into the ranks.

Even though Kunier was aggressive now, he wasn’t brainlessly reckless. Nine out of ten of the lords eagerly stepping up would likely meet a grim fate.

Odu Village’s eastern and western outer defenses were quickly destroyed, even the horse-blocking ditches on the village roads were dismantled by the magic energy catapult.

The Calamity Raven Church showed no inclination to launch an attack, choosing passive defense perhaps due to their inferior numbers, which didn’t seem unreasonable.

The Blue Owl Knight Order attacking from the east violently broke into Odu Village, breaching the outer defenses in an aggressive manner and incurring some casualties while clearing the traps.

Inside, three squads of Cold Crow Halberd Warriors were already blocking the main road, six Cold Crow Halberd Warriors forming six layers of defense.

Behind them, there was a squad of Tier Four Heavy Gun Soldiers who were fully capable of sealing off the road with their guns.

As it stood, facing the Cold Crow Halberd and Long Spear units using long pole weapons, they could restrain the cavalry to a certain extent, especially in this terrain.

Here, while it was the main road within the village, it was still a narrow lane for the cavalry, thus putting them at a disadvantage on this terrain.

This meant the other small paths within the village were also even harder for them to navigate.

The position was within the range of the Church Heavy Armored Shooters on the Tower of the Raven.

Their left arms raised leather round shields, and their right hands swung chain scythes, creating a blue light screen that blocked the powerful arrows from the Blue Owl Archers, which evidently contained some frost power!
