Chapter 409: Chapter 317: Arthur’s Ring of Dominion, Targeting and Countermeasures [Subscription Request]

Zong Shen: ...

This is a piece of jewelry-type equipment favoring charm and command types. The charm attribute bonus is as high as 30 points, and the ”Command” is also increased by 10 points. Just these two attribute bonuses can increase the command value by 130 points.

After Zong Shen equipped the ”Arthur’s Ring of Dominion (Golden),” the charm attribute became 60 points, and the ”Command” skill reached level 20, command value [65/270].

Apart from the previous command value, he also gained a ”Cavalry Command: 0/300” command attribute, which seems to be a special attribute bonus granted by the passive skill Command.

Without the strategy hints, Zong Shen felt like he had fallen from heaven to the ground, experiencing the hardships of the human world.

He was used to the strategy hints detailing the features of skills and the background of equipment, and now everything just seemed awkward without them.

After equipping the Ring of Dominion, Zong Shen’s command value went up dramatically, preparing for future population expansion and warrior expansion.

As for other items, they aren’t capable of increasing strength in a short time, so Zong Shen didn’t have the thought to check them, planning to review once the strategy hints are restored.

Overall, this wave was still a big profit, and the most important point is that these rewards are not the entirety of the Burrow Challenge; the subsequent points exchange and fragment exchange hold greater potential.

Not to mention the experience value and extraction value Zong Shen gained through the Burrow Challenge these days.

He got up, walked towards the door, and opened it, walking straight outside the courtyard.

There he saw Jiang Yi and his subordinate warriors eating and drinking while resting. Each of them was given an egg, an apple, a piece of beef jerky, and a wooden bowl of milk.

This meal standard was quite solid, not to mention the taste, it at least achieved category diversification.

Everyone was gobbling like famine victims; actually, they weren’t that hungry, just sick of eating roasted meat every day. Now they had a change of taste, treating it as delicious.

Zong Shen did not disturb them, and he carried the remaining two Wailing Liches to an empty spot in the territory, swiftly decapitating them with a sense of satisfaction.

He gained 2000 points and 2000 extraction value, which allowed his strength attribute to rise again, becoming 93 points, and life value turned to 1283 points.

Once they were all full and satisfied, Zong Shen began to assemble the team for departure.

Now he couldn’t pinpoint the exact location of the monster groups, so he decided to move light and fast.

The exploration squad all mounted Grassland Horses, also bringing along Wolf Cavalry Squad One and Two. The remaining warriors and Kobolds were led by Wenresa and Dutra, exploring around in Burden-Bearer Mecha. If they encountered appropriately sized monster groups, they were to eradicate them on the spot; if the groups were too large, they would lure them to the territory, relying on the territory’s defense buildings to launch an offensive.

Meanwhile, Marie, Hoy, Alanna, and Dwarf Uncle stayed within the territory with the farmers, keeping the gates tightly shut.

After all arrangements were made, the expeditionary force split into two parts, leaving the territory in different directions one after the other.

It was still not yet eight in the morning, and the sky was slightly dim due to the overcast clouds.

Zong Shen and his team set out once again on their journey; everything was just for constant development and advancement, never missing any opportunity for progress!

...

Meanwhile, outside Odu Village, forty or fifty kilometers from Zong Shen’s territory.

A small squad of fully armed knights was watching the situation of Odu Village from a highland several kilometers outside of it.

Currently, Odu Village was completely covered by the pitch-black Raven Dome, making it impossible to view the situation within the village from the outside.

Knight Captain Kunier was at the forefront, riding his Dragon Scale Warhorse, with Dragon Eagle Squad Leader Denise beside him reporting on the situation.

”My lord, you were right. These guys were indeed prepared.”

”They were already ready to fight us.”

”There’s certainly a great conspiracy here.”

”Moreover, in a Burrows site about a dozen kilometers northwest of Odu Village, we found an abnormal area with intense magic fluctuations that couldn’t be seen from the air.”

”We once tried to go down to investigate, and indeed, we were attacked by Church Heavy Armor Shooters.”

”That place should be an important operation site for those damn heretics as well.”

Denise reported truthfully. They had established a temporary station about a hundred kilometers from outside Odu Village.

Kunier’s knight squad had arrived here around 5 AM earlier today, and now he merely brought a small squad to the front line for reconnaissance.

Hearing Denise’s words, Kunier squinted his eyes beneath his battle helmet.

Based on his years of combat experience, he knew that the Calamity Raven Church was definitely prepared this time.

They even had the confidence to wipe out this expeditionary army completely, or else they wouldn’t be acting so confident.

Kunier was not foolish; on the contrary, he possessed extremely rich combat experience. This situation was clearly an open plot, and hesitating to attack or calling for reinforcements might miss the chance.

The opponent’s apparent intent was to delay time, which was why they set up camp here.

He pondered for a moment, then turned to Denise and instructed.

”Denise, you take a few people and request support from several nearby knight orders.”

”Also, send someone to Boss Bang to requisition all cavalry units in the state in the name of the kingdom.”

”Have them arrive before dark, and I will wait here for reinforcements.”

”Around the afternoon, the Earth Beast vehicle convoy will arrive.”

”The convoy carries a lot of supplies, runes, and magic energy mechanisms; breaking through that black shield won’t be a problem.”

”Essao, you now lead three squads of knights to the Burrow site.”

”If necessary, I allow you to attack them, but don’t get entangled in battle.”

”Denise, let the remaining Dragon Eagle Knights guide Essao.”

Kunier efficiently issued orders, having Dragon Eagle Squad Leader Denise leverage her high mobility to seek help while arranging personnel to launch a raid on the Calamity Raven Church’s sneaky operations at the Burrow site.

Odu Village had been turned into a turtle shell; Kunier was not about to fall for such an obvious stance.

The rear Earth Beast vehicle convoy was bringing infantry units on their way, carrying plenty of warfare assault machinery; Kunier had patience for this.

Once all the orders were given, the warriors quickly followed their orders. Kunier also returned with the remaining knights, heading back to the station to await the subsequent arrival of troops.

Shortly after they left, a sneaky black raven emerged from the top of a tree nearby, flapping its wings and flying back into Odu Village.

In the center of Odu Village, Saintess Shafuri stood atop the already completed Tower of the Raven.

Behind her, several deacons waited respectfully.

The altitude of over a hundred meters granted her an excellent view, though her eyes were completely black, devoid of focus or gaze.

Suddenly, her eyes brightened, the black receded, revealing her pupils, and the expression on her face returned to normal.

Her eyebrows arched slightly, and a faint smile appeared.

”Thinking of making a move on the Burrow site first?”

”Very well, then destroy your three squads of knights first.”

”David, you take a squad of Calamity Mages and the six newly made Raven Puppets from last night to the Burrow site.”

”Inform Elder McGuire to keep a constant watch, and once those knights are spotted, use the range control magic Raven Entanglement on them.”

Saintess Shafuri said calmly, issuing orders unhurriedly.

Behind her, Deacon David took the command and left. He leaped from the tower top, hundreds of ravens formed a buffer below him, lowering him gently to the ground.

The scene appeared both strange and graceful.

These attracted ravens were practically their slaves!
