Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 248: Chapter 236: The Lost Raven Messenger and the Calamity Raven Church’s Secret Supplies

Passive Skill: Frost Power (The Frost Raven possesses Frost Power, which allows it to withstand extreme cold and continuously absorb the power of free Frost Magic Elements)

(A Flying Magical Beast nurtured by the Calamity Raven Church, containing a trace amount of Raven Divine Power, extremely compatible with Frost Magic, capable of absorbing Frost Power, highly maneuverable, and also acts as a natural refrigerator)

Zong Shen, after reading the attributes and strategy hints for the Frost Raven, already had the idea of taming it. Although there is already a Goblin Airship in the territory, its advantage is mainly in long-distance travel, as long as the Magic Energy is not exhausted and the airship is not damaged, it can keep flying.

In terms of burst speed and aerial agility, it’s actually not as flexible as a flying raptor.

Moreover, its Frost Power can be very useful in the territory.

After checking the attributes of the Frost Raven, Zong Shen turned his attention to the Scout who had also been badly burned by fire.

He too was tied up with hemp rope, his circular message canister and the dagger on his side had been taken down by the warriors and placed next to Zong Shen.

With his concentration, the attributes of this pitiable looking, helpless and confused Scout appeared before Zong Shen’s eyes.

[Raven Light Scout: Bozo]

[Tier: Tier Two]

[Talent: Good]

[Level: LV20]

[Attributes: (Click to open)]

Zong Shen clicked to check the detailed attributes, and found that his attribute growth was similar to that of Tiezhu, classified as an ordinary Tier Two Scout type troop, with some basic stealth and attack skills.

The past events were now quite clear; this guy was just a messenger, probably delivering information or intelligence to the church members of Odu Village.

He just had bad luck. When they passed over Zong Shen Territory, that Frost Raven naturally harbored hostility towards anyone outside the church members, so it was fortunately selected to partake in the territory expansion task, becoming a part of the attack on Zong Shen Territory.

The Scout was left completely dumbfounded, having no idea what was happening, nor why the Frost Raven suddenly went out of control.

He had unintentionally entered the territory airspace, first got burnt by fire and then bound up; his mind was now filled with question marks.

Zong Shen looked at the message canister beside his feet, curious about what kind of intelligence the Calamity Raven Church was transmitting to Odu Village.

This message canister was made from some sort of animal skin, and several sets of runes were drawn on its surface. Zong Shen now knew that anything with runes was definitely a Magic Item.

The lid of the canister was fitted tightly, sealed with a strip also covered with various runes.

The surface of this strip emitted a layer of blue and white light, indicating something suspicious; it’s likely imbued with magical power, and if this strip were removed, it might trigger some countermeasures or self-destruct mechanism.

Unless the information inside the canister is unimportant, important information must have certain confidentiality measures.

”Hey, do you know what’s inside this canister?”

Zong Shen shook the canister in his hand, hearing the dull and faint rattling sound inside as he asked the Raven Light Scout.

But the Scout just shook his head in confusion.

”I’m sorry... I don’t know... I’m just a messenger.”

”All the messages and documents are confidential, they are already sealed when passed to me.”

This scout seemed weak, pitiful, and helpless, unlike the fierce Church Warriors.

Zong Shen nodded indifferently. Though the guy was part of the Calamity Raven Church, his rank wasn’t high; he was just a messenger and probably didn’t know any useful information.

Having acquired the canister, asking this Scout was less useful than consulting the strategy module.

So Zong Shen focused on the message canister and expressed his doubts in his mind.

”Can I open this message canister?”

”If not, please tell me what information the canister contains.”

Zong Shen was equipped with cheats, so basically, anything with clues could be answered by the strategy module, and it could even provide many hidden details.

(You cannot open this message canister, it’s imbued with magic; only the Saintess and Elders of the Raven Church can open it. Anyone else triggering it will set off a trap, causing the canister to instantly shatter into pieces.

The message canister holds information about the latest secret resource point of the Calamity Raven Church in this area, containing supplementary supplies required for the operation in Odu Village. They can’t openly dispatch a supply convoy for Odu Village, so they secretly transport supplies by the church’s secret caravan and hide them in this area, with the location relayed by the Frost Raven riding Scout.

You will be able to reach this secret location using the navigation function of the strategy module; the location is 37 kilometers from the territory.

Moreover, you better act before noon, as there are strict requirements for information transmission by the church. If the Scout doesn’t return within the expected time, a nearby church outpost will dispatch more Scouts to the area.)

Sure enough, the strategy module was quite aware of this, revealing that the message canister actually hid information about the secret resource caching location of the Calamity Raven Church.

Zong Shen now understood why the strategy module suggested when preparing for the territory expansion task, ”now is a good opportunity,” and ”there will be unexpected rewards.” Indeed, these were benefits delivered right to the doorstep!

The heretic church members in Odu Village numbered in the hundreds, warriors from the Cold Crow Apostle Corps, beyond food consumption, the consumption of various ordnance and wartime supplies was not a small amount.

So today, Zong Shen’s task was set, he had to venture out before noon to loot the secret supplies of the Calamity Raven Church. Judging by the time, it was quite ample, and he could even level up the territory by a few more levels.

As for the Frost Raven and Raven Scout, they would just stay tied up and tossed to the side for now.

Marie had already taken the farmers to repair the section of the city wall damaged by the Grassland Ox.

With her in the territory, Zong Shen saved a lot of effort.

Zong Shen was also preparing to initiate the Level 6 Territory Expansion Task.

Simply being Level 5 was not his target; following the strategy’s advice, he intended to upgrade the territory to Level 7 or 8 first, and save the rest for when a suitable opportunity arose.

A Level 8 Territory would encompass a circular area with a diameter of 16 kilometers, certainly sufficient for the legion’s expansion.

[Territory: Level 5]

[City Lord’s Mansion: Level 2]

[Current Expandable Range: 6000 meters in diameter, complete the land expansion task to succeed]

[Click to start expansion]

This time, Zong Shen had all the warriors in the territory spread out for patrol around the perimeter. This would save some time on the expansion task.

Once everything was arranged, he clicked to start the expansion, and the Level 6 Territory Expansion Task officially began!

Zong Shen himself never expected that at the moment he soared to rank one, he had become a hot topic in both the World Channel and some Regional Channels.

Chen Rui had already been stuck at a Level 4 Territory for several days, recognized by many as a top tier Lord, but today his record was broken by a relatively unknown Lord named Zong Shen, who claimed the top position.

The most important aspect was that Zong Shen reached the top spot in a very short time, indicating that he wasn’t ranked very high initially, but had been steadily accumulating strength.

Everyone was convinced that Zong Shen was definitely a low-profile hidden expert!
