Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 239: Chapter 232: Frontline Inspection, Twin Horned Eagles in Flight

After all, there are currently three Tier One Arrow Towers and one Tier Two Arrow Tower standing on the frontline.

The arrangement of these defense buildings greatly enhances the defense capability and pressure resistance of the frontline.

Together with the concentrated output of numerous ranged soldiers, even the Gargoyles can be easily killed.

If no new changes occur in the burrow over the next few days, this place will be as stable as Mount Tai, able to securely hold until the end of the Burrow Challenge.

However, Zong Shen believes that the Burrow Challenge will definitely present some new tricks.

According to patterns, it’s very likely that more powerful new monsters will be refreshed in the burrow in the coming days. However, the quantity of these monsters should not be too large.

There is still a risk of impacting the frontline because, after all, the frontline does not have the pressure resistance like the territory, nor enough defense buildings.

On the first day of the Burrow Challenge, the burrow only refreshed zombies and Sharp-toothed Worms, among which the Sharp-toothed Worms are Green Elite Level monsters, occupying about 20% of the refresh quantity each time.

Then later on, Blue Captain Level monsters, which are Gargoyles with flying ability and even stronger attributes, started to refresh in the burrow.

Their refresh quantity was much less than that of the Sharp-toothed Worms, accounting for only about 5% of the total burrow refresh. However, when Gargoyles first appeared, they still caused a lot of trouble for the frontline.

Even Wenresa chose to actively use the Communication Crystal to call for help from Zong Shen, who had just finished dealing with the Spider Web Monster Lord and quickly transferred several warriors back to the territory for support.

Which speaks to how sensitive the frontline is to the strengthening and variation of burrow monsters.

Therefore, it is not ruled out that Purple Commander Level monsters might be refreshed in the burrow in the future. Even if Commander Level monsters are refreshed, the corresponding quantity proportion will definitely be further reduced.

The so-called Commander Level is the level that commands an area, with overall attributes and mastered skills much stronger than Captain Level monsters.

They are definitely akin to a trump card, having such a level of monster mixed in the Burrow Monster Swarm is terrifying even with few numbers, making burrow monsters more difficult to deal with.

By that time, the Whiteboard Monsters and Elite Monsters, which make up the majority in numbers, will serve as cannon fodder, and the relatively rare Captain Level and Commander Level monsters will be the main force. The difficulty of clearing out monsters will drastically increase by then.

Besides, the increasing strength of the daily monster swarm is an unstoppable variable factor, with difficulty bound to rise as the reinforcement levels increase, making the swarms even harder to contend with.

Therefore, the frontline needs to be given more attention and support in terms of combat power.

Zong Shen, aware of this, goes out actively hunting every evening, visiting the Burrow Frontline to check if everything is functioning normally and if additional support is needed.

Because once any risk arises in the Burrow Challenge, this place will be the most pressured front line.

In fact, Zong Shen’s decision to build a frontline position and single-handedly brush this burrow is not only to gain more points but more importantly, to alleviate the pressure on the territory.

This burrow, along with the one to the west of the territory, are the two closest burrows to the territory and also pose the greatest threat to it.

Now that Zong Shen has single-handedly swept one of them, fully sealing this burrow, it has indeed greatly relieved the territory’s pressure.

Plus, the territory’s defenses are strong, and both the quantity and quality of warriors are high, which is why Zong Shen has appeared relatively competent throughout the Burrow Challenge.

At this moment, Wenresa still hasn’t rested. Her level has risen to lv20, and in recent days she’s equipped two Rare Level gears, the [Horned Eagle Battle Bow] and the [Shadow Treasure Pearl], along with a large amount of high-quality arrows, all greatly boosting her strength.

After this series of equipment upgrades, her overall output capability has soared to a new level.

From her hands, arrow after arrow keeps shooting out, the snapping sound of the bowstring echoing ”snap snap” without end.

Those arrows, like streams of black light, shoot out swiftly at a tremendously impressive frequency, sometimes targeting the Gargoyles in the sky, other times aiming at the monsters just emerging from the burrow entrance. Wenresa has effectively turned into a killing machine, continuously launching deadly sharp arrows.

The frontline combat team’s ranged soldiers also strive to shoot, as Zong Shen previously assigned most of the ranged soldiers into the combat team.

Currently, about half of the soldiers are resting, while the other half works with Wenresa in outputting, also terrifyingly effective. Various arrows, crossbow arrows, magic, and spines pour down on the unfortunate monsters outside the burrow entrance like a raging storm, and they are turned into serpentine leather within minutes.

This wave of burrow monsters has barely just stepped out of the burrow when, in merely forty or fifty seconds, they’ll be wiped clean. Before the next wave of monsters appears, the warriors even have a minute or two of shard time to take a short break and brace for the next group.

Wenresa also takes advantage of this brief pause to leap down from the roof of the grass hut and walks towards Zong Shen.
