Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 240: Chapter 232: Frontline Inspection, Double Flight on Horned Eagles

These days, Zong Shen had warmed her heart several times, and with the recent interaction and camaraderie, her Loyalty towards Zong Shen reached 95 points, leaving only 5 points to Loyalty Max.

Now this level of Loyalty was already quite high, greatly contrasting with when she was first recruited, especially evident in Wenresa’s attitude towards Zong Shen.

In her hand, she held the [Horned Eagle Battle Bow], moving with nimble steps toward Zong Shen. The light green hooded robe behind her swayed as she moved, and the green patterned armor on her upper body perfectly accentuated her peach-like curves.

Her light green eyes stared directly into Zong Shen’s, a faint smile on her face.

She placed one hand on her chest and respectfully saluted Zong Shen.

”My Lord, everything on the front line is normal today.”

”The Battle Bow you bestowed upon me suits my hand well, it has allowed me to regain my old feelings.”

”My sharp arrows will pierce through any enemies attempting to invade the territory!”

Zong Shen glanced at her, and upon hearing her words, he nodded with a smile.

Now, Wenresa was truly beginning to integrate into the territory.

She was already considering the territory’s needs, which marked the emergence of a sense of belonging. The Lord System’s Loyalty setting played the greatest role in this, along with the two pieces of Rare-level Equipment Zong Shen generously gave her.

Of course, the former had a more significant impact. Otherwise, with Wenresa’s personality and previous background, it would have been impossible for her to submit to a Little Lord like Zong Shen, let alone be swayed by two pieces of Rare-level Equipment.

Wenresa was once the founder of the Silver Covenant, this High Elf Mage Corps, a Commander-in-Chief figure, and an ancient hero with outstanding abilities. How could she possibly hold such high regard for two pieces of Rare-level Equipment?

The only explanation was that the Lord System had influenced or altered her.

But regardless, the past was just the past, and now Wenresa was a great general in the territory and Zong Shen’s indispensable right-hand woman.

”Very well, Wenresa, you’ve worked hard!”

”Tonight, return to the territory and have a good rest.”

”I will send reinforcements to the frontline to fill your position.”

Zong Shen decided to let Wenresa have a proper rest for the evening.

After all, continuous high-intensity fighting for several days, even with intermittent breaks, posed a severe challenge to both mind and body.

As strong as the ancient hero Wenresa was, she couldn’t help but feel fatigued from the relentless guarding and fighting day after day. However, as an outstanding Warrior, she would persist until the Burrow Challenge ended without Zong Shen’s permission.

Upon hearing Zong Shen’s initiative to let her rest, her heart warmed. No matter how strong a woman is, she can be touched by timely care.

”My Lord... it’s all right, I can still hold on...”

”With me guarding the front line, dealing with those monsters becomes at least 50% more efficient.”

”If I return to the territory and rest for a whole night, the frontline pressure will increase...”

Before Wenresa could finish speaking, Zong Shen raised a finger to signal her to silence, indicating she should just follow his arrangements.

”Don’t worry, I will arrange everything properly.”

”The Burrow Challenge is just halfway through, and you need a good rest to face the upcoming battles in the best state.”

”By the way, Wenresa, I remember your [Horned Eagle Battle Bow] can summon Horned Eagles.”

”I would like to ride a Horned Eagle Beast to see the view from above.”

Zong Shen said impulsively, his previous ascent was on a Goblin Airship, and this time he intended to hitch a ride on a Horned Eagle Beast, seizing the night to observe the surrounding situation again. Any place with light during the night should be another lord’s territory.

Moreover, with the current Burrow Challenge period, all lords would more or less face Burrow Monsters’ harassment, and it wouldn’t be possible to conceal their territories in total darkness; some light would naturally be present.

In the pitch-black night, it was actually the best time to conduct reconnaissance of the surrounding lords.

Because Zong Shen was going to expand the territory and establish his Legion early the next morning, getting a heads-up would be good preparation.

Upon hearing Zong Shen’s words, Wenresa nodded without much thought.

”Yes, my Lord, the Horned Eagle Battle Bow can indeed summon a Horned Eagle Battle Beast.”

”The Horned Eagle Battle Beast is large and fierce, belonging to the raptor category.”

”Its back can accommodate at most two riders, if you wish to ascend and see the sky riding the Horned Eagle Beast, I can accompany you and control the beast.”

Wenresa volunteered, eager to accompany Zong Shen for a double flight.

Such high Loyalty meant not only a respectful attitude but also thoughtful and considerate problem-solving.

Thinking of the once aloof Wenresa, compared to her present self, this contrast brought a secret delight to Zong Shen.

Zong Shen didn’t think much of it and nodded in agreement with Wenresa’s proposal.

Beside them, Luna had a strange expression on her face but said nothing, quietly basking in the silver-white moonlight, radiating a halo that ebb and flowed with the moonlight.

The Exploration Squad and Wolf Rider Squad One intuitively went to slay the wandering Burrow Monsters.

Especially Favide, since acquiring [Theseus’ Slaying Staff], his enthusiasm for battle had significantly increased, filled with high spirits and vigor.

He was determined to quickly amass the 1000 Slaughter Points needed, wishing to single-handedly challenge the world.

On the other side, Wenresa gently raised the Battle Bow, activating the Summon Horned Eagle Skill.

After a piercing eagle call, a deep green light appeared, quickly contracting to reveal a peculiar winged giant beast, surprisingly with antlers on its head, yet possessing a raptor-like beak and sharp eagle eyes.

Its body was equally strange, resembling both a raptor and a stag, with a broad back and a pair of powerful, large wings.

Capable of soaring freely in the sky and attacking any flying enemies they encountered.

The massive eagle beak could gouge out the enemy’s flesh like a giant chisel, leaving terrifying huge blood holes in the enemies.

In ancient times, thousands of years ago, Horned Eagle Beasts and Dark Night Elves once formed an alliance, united under the name of protecting nature.

The then famous Horned Eagle Beast Knights were a combination of the two, powerful Elf Race Archers riding fierce Horned Eagle Beasts soared through the sky, their sharp arrows shooting from all directions in the air, transforming into powerful aerial prowess.

The combat strength of the Horned Eagle Beast itself was also formidable, not inferior to creatures like Griffins, Harpies, or even Subspecies Flying Dragons.

When the summoned Horned Eagle Beast landed, Wenresa was the first to ride atop it, wrapping one arm around the beast’s feather-covered neck, the other motioning for Zong Shen.

There was just enough space behind her for Zong Shen to sit.

Since the summon had a time limit, Zong Shen didn’t delay, swiftly flipping onto the Horned Eagle Beast’s back, seated behind Wenresa.

A mere sliver of space separated them, Zong Shen’s nose almost touching the back of her head.

Their thighs brushed up against something springy.

Before he could savor the feeling, the Horned Eagle Beast spread its massive wings, beginning to flap back and forth.

Surprisingly, a fierce gust of wind whipped up from nowhere, demonstrating the mighty strength of its wings.

It flapped a few more times before its enormous body, carrying Wenresa and Zong Shen, started ascending. Its wings maintained a steady rhythm as it hovered.

Once stabilized in the air, with a slight flick of its wings, it quickly flew away!
