Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 227: Chapter 222: Demon Remnant Soul, the Strength of the Calamity Raven Church

However, within the territory of the Avalon Kingdom, if these heretics insist on stubbornly resisting, it’s only a matter of time before they are eradicated.

After all, the foundation of the heretics is quite different from the kingdom’s forces, and clinging on will only lead to destruction.

These heretics may have considerable strength, but they can only operate around such remote villages, lacking the capability to engage in a full-scale battle with the regular army of the kingdom.

Once the giant city issues a mobilization order, even the affiliated Bang cities can muster a Bang City Union composed of tens of thousands of warriors.

Not to mention that the giant city itself has a city defense army, a national knight order, a city-established knight order, a self-built knight order, among other expeditionary armies and the kingdom regular army.

The giant city is already one of the most powerful regional forces and power centers in a kingdom, aside from two or three imperial capitals.

However, looking at these guys from the Calamity Raven Church, they have absolutely no intention of fleeing. They seem to be plotting something here, even starting to transform the village, building fortifications, which clearly shows they are ready to persist in resistance...

Because Zong Shen, with his sharp eyes, saw in another direction of the village, over a hundred farmers, supervised by soldiers in heavy armor, carrying wood and stone, preparing to construct fortifications on the spot in that direction.

Inside the village, there was also a tower being built, only halfway constructed, which, if completed, could reach up to a hundred meters in height.

Above the village, thousands of black ravens hovered, like a black cloud lingering over Odu Village.

This made Zong Shen feel that things might not be that simple. These heretics from the Calamity Raven might have some conspiracy or a great reliance, big enough to calmly face the knight orders, expeditionary armies, and even the kingdom’s regular army.

Yet, no matter what, for the Calamity Raven Church, this is a significantly risky endeavor.

It definitely couldn’t be because of a small Odu Village; there might be deeper secrets and motives.

Zong Shen silently pondered on the layout of the Calamity Raven heretics; only by knowing oneself and the enemy can one find the best opportunity to gain the most benefits.

He thought about it and suddenly patted his head; such matters can certainly be inquired about through guides!

Thinking of this, he started to silently ask questions in his mind.

”Why does the Calamity Raven Church occupy Odu Village?”

”How many personnel and warriors do they have here?”

”Is there any conspiracy behind this?”

(Occupying Odu Village is one of the elite apostle groups, the Cold Crow Faith Corps of the Calamity Raven Church.

Their high-level is composed of sixteen Raven Deacons, three Saint Elders, and one Church Saintess.

The entire Faith Corps consists of one hundred and twenty Cold Crow Halberd Warriors, sixty Heavy Believer Archers, sixty Heretical Giant Power Knights, and thirty-six Church Calamity Mages. Their actual combat strength is slightly stronger than the Dragon Descendant Knight Order branch in Lentax Giant City.

This time they occupied Odu Village to seize the power left by one of the Three Fear Demon Kings, Bananazar, in the nearby Burial Ground.

In the war that year, besides countless creatures withering, the Blood-Burning Demon suffered significant losses under the alliance army’s tenacious resistance. Among them, the commander of the Blood-Burning Legion attacking Azshara here was one of the three Fear Demon Kings, Bananazar. In that war, it was severely injured, and a part of the demon’s soul and demon’s blood fell into the Burial Ground.

The Burial Ground back then was not only a demarcation line but also a stronghold of the Blood-Burning Demon, housing not only numerous wandering souls but also some relics left by ancient demons...

The Calamity Raven Church is attempting to find Bananazar’s demon soul and demon blood, to master the power of the Fear Demon King and reignite fear.)

This time the guide prompt was particularly long, including a large section of ancient secrets.

On this ancient battlefield, there are also a lot of ancient relics, including those left behind by the alliance army of that year, as well as many relics of Blood-Burning Demon invaders from the Other Dimension...

The powerful demon forces could drive anyone insane, and these people from the Calamity Raven Church came here to gain the power of demons.

”Please tell me when these heretics plan to acquire the demon soul?”

”Has Lentates Giant City responded?”

Zong Shen asked once again in his mind; his guide module in this world is almost omniscient, with all information within his grasp.

(They require a complex and evil ritual to summon Bananazar’s portion of the demon soul and demon blood. The preparation takes five days, with the implementation commencing about five nights later, Bananazar is a proper Great Demon. In its heyday, its rank exceeded the orange Overlord level, being a golden Epic-level powerhouse.

Lentates Giant City has already received the flying kite message sent by Boss Bang, mobilizing troops to rush to Odu Village to wipe out the heretics. From the giant city to here, the journey passes through several treacherous places. Without an air force, it will take about four and a half days to reach outside Odu Village.

When entering a demon state, you can also absorb the wandering demon souls and demon blood, significantly strengthening your demon state. This will be an opportunity to enhance your power.)

Looking at the golden guide prompt, Zong Shen showed a thoughtful expression on his face.

In other words, the expeditionary force dispatched by Lentates Giant City could reach Odu Village in half a day before the Calamity Raven Church completes the summoning ceremony...

This introduces a certain time gap, and in four days the Burrow Challenges for the lords will also have ended, making it the perfect time for Zong Shen to fish in troubled waters...

The guide also mentioned that after entering a demon state, one could absorb the power of the demon’s soul and demon’s blood, making the demon state much stronger. Currently, Zong Shen’s demon state has become his most important trump card skill.

According to the guide’s suggestions, there’s much maneuver space during the confrontation between the Calamity Raven Church and Lentates Giant City, as Zong Shen contemplated, a bold plan began to take shape in his mind.

The adventurous Zong began thinking about how to benefit from both sides.

He pulled his thoughts back and turned his gaze once again towards the outskirts of Odu Village.

At this moment, a troop of heavy armored cavalry, riding on heavy shire horses, was patrolling around the village.

The height of those heavy horses reached about 2.6 meters, with sturdy limbs and bodies full of knotted muscles, obviously taller and more robust than the average grassland horse.

The warhorse’s head, neck, and both flanks were covered with armor to protect its vulnerable spots.

A large black raven badge adorned the armor, occupying most of the flank armor.

The heavy armor knight riding it was equally towering and majestic, standing about two meters tall, wearing a cross bucket helmet with a black feather, and had a two-meter lance on one side, with a two-handed sword strapped on the back. This was a fully armored heavy cavalry, and a lancer cavalry that leads with a charge.

Because of the great distance, Zong Shen couldn’t check their attributes and could only continue to consult the guide module.

”Please tell me the attributes of these heavy armor knights.”

”The Heretical Giant Power Knight, trained by the church from a young age, underwent rigorous training and baptism from the Calamity Raven, endured tremendous strength, and donned heavy armor paired with the incredibly enduring heavy draft horse, making it one of the most exceptional heavy cavalry.”

Goodness, these Giant Power Knights differed from wild creatures and referenced troop systems; they’re all Tier Four units, indicating that the Calamity Raven Church has a well-established troop system.

The attributes of these cavalrymen are exceedingly powerful, belong to heavy armored units, and have frighteningly high armor values; the damage capability of the lance charge is off the charts.

Especially on such grasslands, they are like fish in water, able to freely launch lance charges, and the sharp lance can pierce through the chest of any enemy.

Zong Shen developed a strong interest in these Heretical Giant Power Knights, as well as the heavy draft horse, the Shire Horse, they rode.

From the attributes of the Heretical Giant Power Knight, one can perceive some of the strength of the Calamity Raven Church, and those who came here are merely one of the church’s apostle corps.

Maybe the church’s strength cannot compare with the entire kingdom forces, but it is definitely a formidable power not to be underestimated.

Zong Shen’s desire to reap benefits from between these two forces is akin to playing with fire!
