Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 203: Chapter 203: Giant Wolf Cavalry, Burrow Changes (Bonus Chapter)

In the distance, Korby heard Zong Shen’s call and set down the kobold corpse in his hands.

He turned around with a look of confusion towards Zong Shen not far away.

”Sir, did you call me?”

Zong Shen nodded, smiling softly, and beckoned once more.

”Yes, come over here quickly, I have something good for you.”

Upon hearing this, Korby quickly walked over. Due to handling those rotten corpses, some of the pus had gotten on him, and as he approached, a foul stench filled the air.

He quickly came to Zong Shen, knelt on one knee, waiting for Zong Shen’s command.

Zong Shen used his hand to gently waft away the stench in front of him.

”We’ll have to build a bathhouse when we get back, so you’ll have a place to wash up.”

”Now, take off all your equipment and weapons and leave them aside.”

He instructed Korby, who, puzzled by Zong Shen’s request, awkwardly scratched his side face as if he didn’t quite understand what Zong Shen meant.

Nonetheless, his loyalty at maximum, he complied, stripping off all his equipment and weapons.

Revealing a strong and muscular build, he was left only with white briefs.

At this point, Zong Shen brought up the hand he had hidden behind him and waved the [Wolf Rider Advancement Book] in front of Korby.

”Congratulations, Korby, you will become the first Tier Three Wolf Rider in our territory!”

”Your bravery and loyalty have not gone unnoticed, and I feel assured with you leading the wolf cavalry!”

Zong Shen smiled gently, speaking with great satisfaction.

His encouragement greatly inspired Korby, and the advanced book stirred him immensely. For any warrior, to be advanced is the ultimate reward!

After advancement, attributes will be enhanced, and previous levels and attribute reinforcements will also increase.

”Sir, Korby will become the invincible war sword in your hands!”

”Please let me build a great territory with you!”

Korby worshipped fervently, his adoration for Zong Shen boundless.

Zong Shen did not hesitate, directly selecting Korby and used the advancement book on him.

The reason for making Korby take off his equipment is because after advancement, he would receive a set of standard equipment, thereby saving Zong Shen a light armor and a [Sharp Grassland Saber].

The advancement book in his hand instantly turned into two gray lights, fully enveloping Korby and the giant wolf resting nearby.

Forming into two gray light cocoons, they began their advancement transformation.

After about two or three minutes, the light quickly contracted, revealing two new forms.

The giant wolf had grown even larger, wearing a pointed top helmet, and a leather armor protecting its vulnerable areas like the abdomen.

Korby was now clad in a gray half-body light armor, a round helmet on his head. At his waist hung a saber measuring about 80 centimeters with a curved blade, his legs equipped with short leg guards, and on his feet were thick long boots, with a steel plate at the toe offering substantial defense.

He also carried a bag of javelins on his back, looking formidable indeed, though the throwing net was nowhere to be seen, replaced by a short chain hook lock that could be thrown out.

Having completed the advancement, Korby once again saluted Zong Shen, feeling the changes within himself.

Each advancement allows a certain enhancement of basic attributes, and the strength of high-tier soldiers is exceptionally powerful, their growth not inferior to that of commander-level monsters of the same rank.

”Sir, thank you for bestowing this strength!”

Zong Shen nodded in satisfaction, beginning to examine Korby’s attributes.

Zong Shen withdrew his gaze and firmly patted Korby’s shoulder.

”Get to work, Tier Three won’t be your end.”

Upon hearing this, Korby saluted again and obediently went back to work.

The attributes of a Tier Three Soldier were still decent, but Zong Shen had become accustomed to them.

Therefore, he didn’t experience the astonishment like he did with Tier Four Soldiers.

After sorting out all the rewards, Zong Shen was about to go help the soldiers gather when.

The communication crystal hanging on his chest suddenly lit up, displaying the number 5, which was Wenresa’s Communication Crystal Number.

Zong Shen gently tapped the crystal, choosing to connect, and Wenresa’s voice immediately came through the communication crystal.

”Master! This is the Burrow Frontline!”

”Whiz!”

”Boom!”

”Zzzzz...”

The sounds from the other end of the communication crystal were somewhat chaotic, one could hear the intense sounds of battle and unstable turbulence noises, indicating that being in the mine did have an impact on communication.

”Speak, I’m listening, has something happened at the frontline?”

Zong Shen immediately responded.

”Master, the strength of the Burrow Monsters is starting to increase, now every batch of refreshed monsters includes a Commander Level Gargoyle that can fly; its speed is fast, and it can enter a solid petrification mode to slowly regain life, making it very troublesome.”

”Currently, the frontline’s ranged support is insufficient to rapidly kill the gargoyles. As time goes on, they begin to gather; although we try hard to kill them, there are now already more than twenty gargoyles gathered above the frontline, seriously hampering the frontline assault.”

Wenresa quickly reported, and Zong Shen instantly understood the situation.

When the burrow reached the third-tier strength, each wave of refreshed monsters also included a Commander Level Monster, which was a fast-flying type.

Previously, each wave of burrow monsters generally consisted of four or five zombies paired with an Elite Level Sharp-toothed Worm.

Now, each configuration also includes a Commander Level Gargoyle, and the melee warriors can’t deal with such flying monsters, while the frontline’s ranged output isn’t enough. This results in the inability to promptly eliminate the gargoyles when the burrow refreshes, causing these gargoyles to increase in number, finally snowballing into a scale, posing a serious threat to the frontline.

The only solution is to support the frontline with additional ranged soldiers, so that the ranged output is greater than the refresh rate of the gargoyles, enabling faster elimination of the gargoyles to mitigate this crisis.

Currently, the frontline has three Water Mages, two Dragon-kin Rangers, two Avalon Light Crossbowmen, three Burrowing Demons, along with Wenresa, a Shooter Hero using attacks.

Zong Shen looked around him and decided to dispatch some soldiers to immediately return to provide support.

”Favide, Jennings, Vivian, Madeleine, you all return to the territory immediately to support the Burrow Frontline.”

”Pierce, as the pilot, drive the Burden-Bearer Mecha to take everyone back, just as your mecha has some damage, let the Dwarf Uncle see if he can repair it.”

”Everyone else, continue disassembling, speed up the progress, once we’ve processed these Spider Web Monster corpses, we’ll immediately head to the left passage to open the mine warehouse.”

Zong Shen called out a few ranged soldiers from the team, including the main output, Favide, and two newly recruited Avalon Light Crossbowmen and the ranger Madeleine, instructing them to return to the territory and go to the Burrow Frontline for support.

Having just finished a fierce battle, Zong Shen’s prestige was quite high, and everyone he mentioned promptly set aside their disassembly tasks and gathered in front of him.

Zong Shen led them into the mine tunnel, directly leaving the mine dormitory and walking towards the outside of the mine.

The fleeing Spider Web Monsters were nowhere to be found along the way.

Progressing all the way, it only took a dozen minutes to return to the mine entrance.

Zong Shen brought the group down from the ruins, retrieved a Burden-Bearer Mecha, charged it with a thousand points of magic energy, and Pierce drove his Tearer Mecha onto the cargo hold, then took the driver’s seat.

Favide and others climbed onto the cargo hold, and under Zong Shen’s watchful eyes, Pierce drove the Burden-Bearer Mecha gradually away.

In place, Zong Shen untied the hemp rope bound to his ribs, collecting his blood-stained underwear; he initially intended to discard it, but considering the possibility of leaving traces and flaws, he chose to store it away.

The wound under his ribs had tightened significantly, and fresh blood no longer flowed out, such rapid recovery speed would be considered a medical miracle on Earth.

Zong Shen took out a bucket filled with Moon God Spring, carefully pouring some on the wound, washing the wound and the surrounding area.

Then he retrieved the previously exchanged [Ordinary Hemostatic Bandage] and bandaged the wound.

Finally, he put on the already damaged Netted Spider Armor.

After simply treating the wound, Zong Shen returned to the mine.
