Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 225: Chapter 220: Legion Plan, Jiang Yi’s New Intelligence

Zong Shen spoke with a serious demeanor, his expression matching his words, showing no regard for Medina. This natural sense of disdain made Medina somewhat annoyed.

His smile froze, initially showing some awkwardness, followed by a fleeting expression of concealed anger, and finally, his cheeks trembled a bit before he forced out a slight smile,

”Mr. Zong, you’re really quite humorous...”

”I’m here specifically to assist the dear Lord Jiang.”

”We lords should help each other, respect each other with love, and coexist equally...”

Ultimately, Medina didn’t lash out. Although somewhat arrogant, he wasn’t foolish. On the contrary, he had a good eye, immediately recognizing Zong Shen as a formidable character not to be trifled with.

If a conflict erupted here, it would surely lead to a catastrophic defeat. As the saying goes, a gentleman seeks revenge even after ten years.

Everyone is in this area anyway; there would be plenty of opportunities to restore his reputation later.

Only a reckless hothead would lose their temper and lash out, and although Medina was a bit displeased, he could hold his temper. To him, his territory and personal interests outweigh everything.

Zong Shen, hearing him say this, had no particular response, maintaining a faint smile on his face, seemingly both mocking and disdainful.

Seeing this, Medina said no more. He leaped onto his horse, drew the longsword from his side, and lightly kicked the horse’s belly, raising the sword and shouting,

”Warriors, charge with me and eliminate these Burrow Monsters!”

Saying so, he rode his Grassland Horse through the breach in the barricade.

The soldiers behind him followed suit, charging out with deafening battle cries.

It looked quite impressive, even a bit fierce in its charging momentum.

However, as they charged, the group gradually moved farther away...

This Medina is quite interesting, stubbornly refusing to give Zong Shen a chance to teach him a lesson.

He very candidly chose to just dust off his hands and take off.

Zong Shen stood in place, watching their distant backs with a smirk.

”This guy is quite interesting, really thick-skinned.”

”He brought a team of soldiers specifically to your territory, but only to spectate, without any intention to act.”

”Curious, curious, quite curious, almost like he came specifically to tire you out.”

Hearing Zong Shen’s words, Jiang Yi sighed.

”His territory is nearby, and he has already wooed several lords.”

”His own strength is not weak. His territory has nearly thirty soldiers, and he has a good relationship with Dinan Village, often getting some supplies or even recruiting farmers.”

”I originally united with several lords, but due to the emergence of the Burrow Challenge and geographical isolation, we are temporarily unable to meet.”

”With the appearance of legions, lords within the region have no choice but to gradually form alliances.”

”Otherwise, we would only become prey for others.”

”Lord Zong, if you create a legion, I am willing to join.”

The implication in her words was clear; she wanted Zong Shen to create a legion, which she could then join to seek shelter and new development opportunities.

The reason Jiang Yi viewed Zong Shen so highly ultimately boiled down to Zong Shen’s formidable strength.

Hearing her say this, Zong Shen wore a serious expression.

This was an issue he had also contemplated. He originally intended to stay a Lone Ranger.

However, Medina’s appearance offered him new insight.

In truth, developing a legion and developing one’s territory and strength do not conflict. Now that there’s a trend of forming alliances within the region, it is inevitable that a group of strong individuals will rise with the tide and establish various factions.

After all, there are still over seven to eight thousand lords in the region. If they could gather together, it would be a significant force. The most crucial point is that after forming alliances, regional power will become more concentrated, offering the strong a rare opportunity for ascent.

It will also gather talents within the lords on a regional level. In the context of universal arrival, there are still many talents on Earth with excellent skills or good qualities.

Apart from the talent among the Indigenous People, if these lords can collaborate in development, it can indeed accelerate territory development.

The legionization of lords is one of the future development trends.

The ultimate result is that each region will see the rise of one to two Overlord-level lords. They will lead most region lords, develop all regional relics, and concentrate resources and strength for advancement.

Considering these factors, Zong Shen naturally wouldn’t give up on forming a legion and engaging in regional-level competition; this is the true prevailing trend.

After establishing a legion, he could completely delegate authority, becoming a hands-off manager.

Using his territory’s strength and personal power as the most stable finale and foundation, he could mobilize the power of his subordinate lords when necessary to execute something significant.

Zong Shen mused silently, and upon reaching this point, he raised his head and gave Jiang Yi an affirmative response.

”In the next two days, I will upgrade the territory to expand its scale.”

”Then, I will form a legion and will send you an invitation.”

Jiang Yi nodded expectantly upon hearing this, knowing that following the lead of her elder brother often meant three days of hunger out of every eight meals.

Since she had proactively chosen to align herself with Zong Shen, Zong Shen decided not to hold back.

He took out Communication Crystal numbered 7 and handed it to Jiang Yi.

”If you encounter any unsolvable problems in the next couple of days, contact me.”

”If you travel with all your might, you’ll reach your territory in about twenty to thirty minutes.”

”As for the future planning of the [Legion], I’ll discuss it with you in detail once it’s established.”

Jiang Yi received the Communication Crystal, nodding solemnly. Zong Shen had indeed given her a promise, unlike their previous joint explorations, this time it was a truly open and sincere collaboration.

Previously, both acted as independent entities, centering their cooperation around the aim of gaining benefits. However, this time they were forming a real alliance, sharing glory and loss together!

”I’ll start preparing in advance.”

”Earlier, I met some lords whose territories are nearby in the Regional Channel.”

”Some of these lords are quite strong; I’ll leave them messages in the [Private Chat Channel] soon.”

Jiang Yi volunteered, clearly having her own ideas about the development of the [Legion].

Unlike Zong Shen, her thoughts were not only focused on territorial development, but she also frequently participated in the [Regional Channel], enthusiastically answering questions from newbies.

Through this, she quickly became familiar with faces in the [Regional Channel] and privately exchanged and discussed with many lords.

Zong Shen, on the other hand, seldom spoke in the [Channel].

The combination of Jiang Yi’s connections and Zong Shen’s strength could definitely form a powerful legion.

”Alright, I’ll leave the work in this area to you.”

”As long as you do well, there will be rewards for you at that time.”

Zong Shen patted her on the arm; after these few interactions, Jiang Yi indeed was a suitable candidate to be his legion’s agent.

Her strength was sufficient, she was decent as a person, and she held a certain level of connections within the [Regional Channel]. In the future, Zong Shen only needed to oversee the big directions of legion development.

Details such as policies, the restructuring of the legion, and recruitment could be handed over to Jiang Yi.

He only needed to ensure his strength remained superior and could play the role of a ’hands-off manager’.

”Now I’ll assist you in clearing out the Burrow Monsters around this area.”

”Reducing the density of nearby monsters will allow you to rest a bit.”

”The burrow strengthens monster levels every noon; in a little over an hour, 4th level will refresh, and constantly enduring them isn’t feasible.”

”By the way, don’t call me Sect Lord or Lord anymore, it sounds awkward, just call me Zong Shen.”

Having said this, Zong Shen turned to look at the warriors outside the territory who were fighting desperately.

With the addition of his soldiers, the number of Burrow Monsters was rapidly decreasing.

Jiang Yi also looked outside, and when she saw the equipment in the hands of those mages, she was stunned again. The equipment was all Rare Level, surpassing their previously standard equipment by one or two levels.

She looked down again at her own [Goblin Battle Blade]; the gap wasn’t just a tiny bit.

It’s true that comparing oneself to others is frustrating; her equipment wasn’t even as good as the soldiers under others!

At this point, Zong Shen also turned and prepared to step outside the territory to hunt Burrow Monsters.

His [Ring of Strength Demon] could extract strength through killing, which would feed back to increase his attributes, to him, slaying was gaining. It was more worthwhile spending time eliminating monsters than standing idly.

Seeing Zong Shen about to leave, Jiang Yi snapped back to her senses; she had something important to relay to Zong Shen.

”Zong Shen...”

”I have new intelligence to share with you.”

Hearing Jiang Yi’s call, Zong Shen turned back with a puzzled expression, waiting for her to continue.

”About thirty kilometers west from here, there’s an indigenous village called Odu Village.”

”The total population within the village is about seven to eight hundred, it’s not very large.”

”Recently, in the [Regional Channel], I saw many lords in that vicinity mentioning a matter.”

”A couple of days ago, Odu Village was supposedly occupied by a sect of church heretics called the Calamity Raven, who captured all the villagers and built anti-horse trenches and works around the village, seeming intent on long-term development.”

”After the illegal occupation, Boss Bang City sent a full complement of one squadron and ten teams, totaling 120 of the Bang City Army to quell them. They arrived yesterday afternoon, and after fierce battle, suffered a catastrophic defeat.”

”In the future, stronger indigenous expeditionary armies will appear; however, due to geographic isolation, it will take several more days for them to arrive.”

”Currently, nearby lords are eyeing Odu Village, hoping to opportunistically profit when the expeditionary army comes to tackle the Calamity Raven Church again.”

”The population and resources within Odu Village represent substantial wealth.”

”Whoever obtains it could rapidly expand.”
