Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Watching the reindeer in his sight steadily approach, Chen Wen’s lips moved slightly, softly instructing Old Wolf to circle around to the side of the herd.

Creating a pincer movement.

Meanwhile, Eagle, upon Chen Wen’s reminder, ascended into the sky.

But it was on the lookout for predators nearby.

In case anything caught the scent of blood and wanted to take a bite.

Chen Wen would absolutely make it leave the meat behind!

Under his direction, the reindeer herd entered Chen Wen’s effective attack range.

”Thirty meters, this distance is no problem!”

Chen Wen drew out his stone spear, his pupils slightly contracting, fixating on the adult reindeer he had chosen as his target.

This reindeer was currently competing with another reindeer for food.

Chen Wen, sharp-eyed, saw clearly what they were fighting over—reindeer caltrop.

Also known as reindeer moss.

”Smart indeed, even found a side dish.” Chen Wen said in an odd tone.

Reindeer caltrop can be consumed by humans. Moss growing in these mountains, when ground into powder, has a faint spicy aroma.

Sprinkling it on some meat could even serve as a substitute for barbecue seasoning.

Upon hearing Chen Wen’s muttering, the production crew’s monitor was momentarily stunned.

Goodness.

Isn’t that a bit overconfident? Already feeling successful before making a move?

However, recalling Chen Wen’s past achievements, well, that confidence seems warranted.

...

Because Chen Wen was ambushed within a snow pit, his body was covered with snow.

So much that he seemed to be wearing a snow camouflage suit, making it hard for the reindeer to spot him.

Therefore, he planned to continue his ambush, waiting for the target reindeer to come closer.

After all, the closer the distance, the greater his chances.

Waited for about five minutes.

Chen Wen lay in the snow, even lightening his breath.

The nearest elk was now less than fifteen meters away from him!

The elk was twitching its nose, continuously exhaling white breath, as if sniffing the scent in the air.

Yet Chen Wen wasn’t worried about his scent being detected.

After all, the [Fruit Aroma] attribute could largely mask the human scent.

However, observing the reindeer’s demeanor, Chen Wen was curious if it might mistake him for food.

Diverting his gaze from the nearest elk,

Chen Wen clenched his stone spear, starting to gather strength.

He gently shifted his body, slowly raising the stone spear.

Just as the target elk lowered its head to sift through the snow.

Chen Wen struck decisively!

Whiz~ accompanied by a sound!

[Giant Strength], [Perception], [Thorn].

Three offensive attributes triggered simultaneously, accompanied by the howling wind, the stone spear, like a stream of light, shot towards the target reindeer.

Chen Wen’s sudden attack panicked the entire reindeer herd.

They couldn’t discern where the attack came from, most reindeers were jumping about in bewilderment.

Those closer to Chen Wen, however, were well aware of his location.

Because after launching the stone spear, Chen Wen immediately took out a steel long spear, rising from the snow pit.

The first stone spear’s lethality was impressive.

From a distance of over twenty meters, Chen Wen’s stone spear was tremendously powerful, aided by the attributes.

The flint-polished spearhead accurately pierced the target reindeer’s side, tearing through its skin, and forcefully embedded into the reindeer’s body.

This originally frail reindeer, upon feeling the pain, faltered on its hind legs, unable to run.

Thus, abiding by the principle of striking while it’s down.

Chen Wen threw the steel long spear directly.

Whoosh!

Once again accompanied by a tearing sound of the wind, the long spear accurately hit the reindeer that had just risen.

As Chen Wen stood to throw the spear this time, the force was overwhelmingly terrifying.

This strike pierced deep into the reindeer’s anterior chest, the spearhead with formidable power, forcefully stabbing into its heart.

The reindeer didn’t even have time to whimper before it fell with a crash.

At this, the entire reindeer herd spotted their assailant’s location.

They immediately bolted in the direction away from Chen Wen, and the direction they came from.

Old Wolf, positioned to block the reindeer’s escape path, emerged from the woods.

Still using its most familiar technique.

Old Wolf let out a fierce howl, baring its teeth and revealing its blood-red tongue.

Inevitably, even the monitor before the screen shuddered slightly.

Let alone the reindeer herd.

Frightened by Old Wolf, the reindeer’s once orderly escape formation scattered chaotically.

The leading reindeer skidded, trying to change directions.

The following reindeer, just starting to run, didn’t know what happened ahead.

Under these complex circumstances, the middle of the herd experienced a severe collision.

Truly, the reindeer can’t be blamed for this.

For reindeer, whether it’s wolves or humans, are exceedingly dangerous predators.

The cooperation of both would be akin to a certain unknown island nation suddenly realizing Hua Country and the US had formed an alliance.

Leaving the reindeer both bewildered and utterly panicked.

This is the primary reason for their disarrayed formation.

However, the reindeer quickly adjusted.

Amidst a brief chaos, they adapted and fled chaotically down the mountain.

However, what remained wasn’t just the adult reindeer Chen Wen hunted, but also a somewhat smaller reindeer.

This reindeer was a victim of the collision within the herd.

Its leg had been broken by another reindeer, now hobbling, it couldn’t escape.

Upon this reindeer, Chen Wen’s eyes lit up.

Buy one get one free!

He didn’t bother pulling out the spear to hunt.

After all, there was enough food.

Looking at this reindeer, Chen Wen thought of one of his attributes—[Bone Setting].

This attribute Chen Wen hadn’t experimented with before, and as one of the rare medical attributes, Chen Wen felt it had potential for development.

However, lacking a suitable animal to test bone setting on, Chen Wen planned to find someone after surviving this ordeal, to locate a pet hospital or zoo, or a wildlife protection center, to deeply study the skill.

Now, however, this reindeer was a perfect volunteer!

If healed, release it.

If not, having it for a meal wouldn’t be wasteful at all!

So, Chen Wen, wearing skis, reached out with both arms, striding quickly to the reindeer’s side.

The reindeer sensed Chen Wen approaching.

It howled and struggled, attempting to flee further away.

But a limping deer could hardly outrun a whole person.

Chen Wen quickly pressed down on the reindeer’s neck, pinning its head into the snow.

He then pulled out the rope at his waist, swiftly tying the reindeer with a characteristic Asian binding.

Basically, it was a horse loop.

Soon enough, the reindeer lay bound on three good legs, belly-up in the snow.

It emitted terrified cries, seemingly dreading what Chen Wen would do next.

However, Chen Wen was no monster.

He simply grabbed the rope, dragging the living reindeer along, planning to return it to camp.

Meanwhile, Old Wolf and Eagle remained there, guarding the dead reindeer.
