Wilderness Survival with Druid System

After sending off the doctor, Chen Wen was also a bit helpless.

Indeed, he had been lacking exercise.

In recent days, he felt that his stamina had decreased somewhat compared to when he first arrived.

Therefore.

Encircled by three little coyotes, Chen Wen made a decision: ”Starting tomorrow, I’ll resume exercising. I can’t keep getting fatter!”

...

”What kind of talk is that, so irritating?”

Hearing Chen Wen’s words, the eliminated Gaston turned ashen, even darker than the nearby black guy.

After being eliminated, Gaston also measured his weight.

He had lost nearly twenty kilograms.

Purely starved thin!

On the other side, the other three eliminated contestants also had peculiar expressions.

Is Chen Wen really that outrageous?

”Forget it, let’s not bother with him.”

Gaston shook his head and went to meet with director Greg for an elimination interview.

The others continued to hang around the camp aimlessly, seeing if they could help out with anything.

...

The director’s room.

Unlike the easygoing atmosphere outside, the mood here was very tense.

Greg and some of the show’s advisors were sitting at the table, all with serious expressions.

”It’s our misfortune too.”

An advisor spoke slowly: ”We ran into a once-in-a-decade heavy snowfall. Many of you here are locals and know well how severe such a snowfall can be.”

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded.

Take Great Slave Lake.

In winter, the snow accumulation at Great Slave Lake is about twenty centimeters, indicating a rare dry season this year.

Accumulation between thirty to fifty centimeters is considered normal.

If it reaches fifty to eighty centimeters, it suggests ample rain this year, leading to a thriving forest next year.

But once it exceeds eighty centimeters, it’s a disaster.

This year’s accumulation was already approaching fifty centimeters, and a massive heavy snowfall was still to come!

According to local meteorological predictions, after this heavy snowfall,

the snow in some areas around Great Slave Lake is likely to exceed one hundred centimeters, possibly reaching around one hundred and twenty centimeters!

That’s more than twice the normal year’s level!

This news was why the director and the advisors had gathered together.

”What should we do now? Stop the show? Or continue surviving?”

It was the rescue team representative speaking.

This heavy snowfall, along with strong winds, creates blizzards, which are the most troublesome weather for them.

In such weather, it’s challenging for them to even reach the survival area, let alone rescue people.

Therefore, the rescue team hoped the least to continue the survival challenge.

But unlike them, others had a lot more to consider.

Some thought about the financial losses, while others considered the impact on the brand of Wilderness Alone.

After all, Wilderness Alone had been running for so long and was called the Olympics of survival.

This season had been heavily promoted in advance and invited various survival experts.

If this world-class survival feast were stopped because of this blizzard, it would be a huge blow to the show.

The season that was supposed to take off could mark the program’s downturn.

So, everyone was hesitating now.

Faced with the rescue team’s question, they didn’t know how to respond.

The atmosphere was getting tenser.

Their silence seemed to have drained the room of oxygen, making it hard to breathe.

”The most crucial thing now is.”

An advisor stood up, breaking the silence: ”We are unsure how this heavy snowfall will manifest and whether it will affect the other contestants.”

”If we stop the show and it turns out to be just an ordinary snowfall, not significantly impacting their survival, the consequences...”

The advisor stopped talking, but his meaning was clear.

They could stop it, but someone had to take responsibility.

Everyone instinctively looked at Greg, who was frowning and staring at the documents.

Clearly, he, as the director, was the most suitable person to take responsibility here.

A full minute passed.

Greg cleared his throat: ”I’ve heard all your opinions. Here’s what I think we should do.”

Seeing that the director had an idea, everyone stopped fidgeting and looked at Greg.

”First, relay this information to the contestants’ assistants, letting them understand the situation.”

”Second, inform the contestants in front of the assistants, allowing them to decide whether to stay or leave.”

”Third, if all the contestants agree to stay and continue surviving, then we proceed and add a bonus; if they all decide to exit, we’ll stop the show and evaluate based on their current points to determine winners and losers; if only some decide to exit, I’ll arrange for them to have an ’accident’ and exit the competition normally.”

After speaking, Greg glanced at everyone: ”No matter what the outcome, as the director, I’m definitely the one responsible, so let’s not discuss this aspect further.”

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

The atmosphere loosened up, and a few advisors began discussing subsequent handling and how much the bonus should be increased.

Greg glanced at everyone, shook his head slightly, then left the room.

...

With the news of the potential blizzard circulating,

the contestants’ assistants also became nervous.

Especially the assistants of Hua Yun and Chen Wen; they had experienced such an event before.

The psychological shadow from last time hadn’t faded yet, and upon hearing about this situation, their first thought was to stop the survival.

But soon, after understanding the situation,

they were slightly relieved.

This time wasn’t as severe as last time.

After reaching a consensus with the contestants’ assistants, the program team contacted the contestants and explained the situation.

”Here’s the current situation: there’s heavy snow potential, which could become a blizzard or could just be regular snowfall; no one can be sure. However, we are giving you the choice...”

Faced with the program team’s explanation, there was no surprise in the contestants’ choices.

”I choose to continue surviving!”

Even Hua Yun, the only female contestant, was extremely determined when she said this.

Only then did everyone realize that their contestants were no longer the ones from the previous seasons.

These were top-tier survivalists!

Harsh environments, ferocious animals, violent weather...

Not only wouldn’t these factors dampen their spirits, but they would ignite their competitive spirit!

It seems Greg was prepared to continue the survival challenge from the very beginning.

The advisors looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

...

On Chen Wen’s side.

”Blizzard?”

He hung up the phone, shaking his head slightly.

With his current shelter, as long as he regularly clears the snow off the roof, enduring the blizzard should be a breeze, right?

He dismissed it with disdain, give up?

Having persevered until now, giving up is out of the question; he must continue!

However, facing the potential blizzard, Chen Wen thought he should make some preparations, just in case.
