Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 338: Chapter 7: Arrival at the Kuanduo River

Afterwards, it was time for the trash-talking segment, where each contestant appeared on stage one by one.

We set up a Q&A session based on their responses.

They had conversations with the contestant they thought was strong, the one they most wanted to eliminate, and the one they thought would be eliminated first.

The atmosphere was electric.

The intensity on Chen Wen’s side was the highest, almost twice that of Feng Zhong.

Kaelian clenched her fists, showing off her muscles, and commented on Chen Wen: ”He looks like a little chick.”

Chen Wen, on the other hand, played a video clip.

The audio was in its original form: ”Bad news from the bodybuilding community...”

Chen Wen smacked his lips, sighed, and turned off the video.

Kaelian lost her composure and pointed at the screen, indicating she wanted a showdown with Chen Wen.

Brad stated that while Chen Wen was strong, he could kick him out as easily as crushing an ant.

Chen Wen responded with an image from a certain science fiction movie of a giant ant, as tall as a building.

”If I am an ant, then it’s probably like this, and Brad is still Brad. For him to challenge me is like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.”

After that, Chen Wen kindly explained the meaning of the phrase ”a mantis trying to stop a chariot.”

Brad gritted his teeth, at a loss for words.

Ivan didn’t directly provoke Chen Wen, but instead used the word ”caution.”

He tried to rally other contestants to join forces against Chen Wen.

Chen Wen suggested that if given the chance, everyone could team up to eliminate Ivan.

After all, he was the only contestant among the ten skilled in long-range attacks.

And he graciously included advice on how to counter an archer, reminding everyone that Ivan’s strength was immense, and they must not engage him in close combat or on the ground.

This left Ivan speechless.

Because Chen Wen hit the nail on the head.

The rest were similar remarks. After watching them all, Chen Wen felt it was alright.

He felt like the protagonist here.

No, to be precise, more like the big boss.

Surrounded by heroes, only a few big bosses stood with him, like Feng Zhong and Adam.

”Nicely shot, quite original.”

Chen Wen found the trash-talk segment quite amusing.

Abel immediately replied: ”But this time you need to ensure you survive well. If you don’t make it to the top three, or even first, you will face backlash.”

Winning brings accolades, losing invites criticism. Chen Wen understood this very well.

He confidently said: ”For the award ceremony, let’s plan something together.”

Looking at the message on his phone, Abel laughed heartily.

He really liked confident contestants like Chen Wen, much more interesting than ordinary ones!

”Looking forward to the good news!”

...

With survival now down to the final day.

Back in the country.

Chen Wen had final communications with several people.

At the association, after analysis, Liu Yu and Qu Yong felt Chen Wen’s strategy and choice of equipment was excellent.

Feng Zhong’s was good too.

”During survival, be cautious. Try not to use your spear to hunt large animals early on. Focus on medium and small animals like antelopes, or take down Nile crocodiles on the shore.”

This was Liu Yu’s advice.

”Prioritize stability, move step by step, and you have a good chance of winning this time.”

This was Qu Yong’s blessing.

”Don’t get reckless.”

Hua Yun said this.

Chen Wen scratched his head in frustration, was he a reckless person?

He’s very steady, thank you very much!

Additionally, there was the matter with the zoo.

Mr. Li, although unaware of where the Caprivi Strip was, still said, ”Stay safe, watch out for man-eating barbarians!”

After the madam left, Mr. Li added, ”Also, help me check if black people are black all over?”

Mr. Li’s ability to work at a zoo shows he has something special.

”Stay safe, come back in one piece, and don’t worry about the animals. I’ll take good care of them. Besides, the big ginger cat’s condition has improved a lot recently, and it’s healthier. It just celebrated its nineteenth birthday, and I’m very happy.”

During his conversation with Jiang Xue, Chen Wen was infected by her happiness, lifting his spirits a lot.

”However, the big ginger cat now seems smarter. It can understand many of my gestures, which is quite different from the silly ginger cat it used to be. Do you know what’s going on?”

This made Chen Wen’s heart skip a few beats.

He laughed and brushed it off: ”Perhaps it survived a big ordeal and is now blessed with good fortune? Anyway, I have to go to my final meeting now.”

”Alright, stay safe and good luck.”

...

After saying his goodbyes.

Chen Wen, along with other survivors, received their equipment, clothing, and filming gear.

And they conducted some adjustments.

After completing these tasks.

Everyone spent their last night at the base camp.

The next morning, the ten survivors indulged in a big meal.

”Great, seeing everyone in high spirits makes me very happy!”

Before boarding the plane, Abel was thrilled.

He felt this would be a new milestone in his career!

”Let’s go!”

Tut tut tut...

Two helicopters took off, carrying the ten contestants to the wilderness of the Caprivi Strip.

Here, they would engage in a one-month wilderness survival challenge.

The winner would walk away with fame and a cash prize.

The losers would eat dust!

...

On the helicopter Chen Wen was on.

Yoshikawa Feng, Brad, Feng Zhong, Ivan, and he were together.

”First contestant, number six, Yoshikawa Feng, get ready to depart!”

The staff announced as they opened the cabin door.

The wind with a heavy wilderness vibe rushed in.

Yoshikawa Feng took a deep breath and stepped to the cabin door.

He quickly surveyed the situation below, and luck was on his side, it was a vast open space away from the riverbank.

The animals around had fled due to the helicopters, and they certainly wouldn’t return anytime soon.

Jackpot!

Yoshikawa Feng confidently smiled, turned to glance at Chen Wen.

He extended his right thumb and slowly drew it across his neck in front of the camera.

Though it wasn’t directed at Chen Wen, everyone on the plane knew who it was aimed at.

Having done the gesture, Yoshikawa Feng jumped out of the helicopter, with the two-meter height posing no difficulty at all.

Smoothly touching down, Yoshikawa Feng watched as the helicopter flew away.

”Great, let’s get started!”

Yoshikawa Feng said, encouraging himself with his native language to boost his morale.

He briefly organized his equipment and filming devices and began searching for a spot to set up his shelter.

Despite his wild nature, Yoshikawa Feng knew very well what his most crucial task was now.

His self-abusive survival method involved utilizing abundant early-stage energy to rapidly build shelters, set traps, and establish an early advantage at all costs.

This process was mentally and physically grueling, but very effective.

It was the cornerstone of his strategy.

Once I’m stabilized here, I will surely come find you!

Yoshikawa Feng glared menacingly as the helicopter headed southeast, letting out a chuckle.

The staff monitoring the screens shivered with goosebumps.

...

On the plane.

Chen Wen attentively watched the scenery outside.

Soon, around seven kilometers away, the helicopter stopped again.

”Seventh contestant, Chen Wen, get ready to depart!”

As the helicopter descended slowly, Chen Wen also stood up.

He gave a slight smile towards the close-up camera, giving a thumbs-up: ”I’m Chen Wen, welcome to the Caprivi!”

Saying this, Chen Wen jumped sharply out of the cabin, landing easily.

Once the helicopter flew away, Chen Wen looked around him.

Just as he saw from the plane, there was the Kuanduo River nearby, or rather, he was in the Kuanduo River.

Because it was now the end of the rainy season, a large amount of rainwater flowed into the Kuanduo River, making it quite full.

Many of the original riverbanks were submerged by the flooding, and where Chen Wen now stood, was such a place.

However, after a brief look around, Chen Wen didn’t see any dangerous animals.

So, he took a break on the spot.

He organized his equipment and devices, strapping them on.

Then, he closed his eyes halfway, opened his system.

And began his training!
