Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 314: Chapter 3: Prospective Teammate Feng Zhong

After leaving Qu Yong’s hospital room,

Chen Wen was quite impressed with the vice president who had been attacked by a leopard.

”This Mr. Qu is the most responsible one I’ve ever seen.”

Chen Wen said.

Hua Yun nodded, ”Yes, Mr. Qu has always been referred to as the stalwart of our Survival Association by Mr. Liu. Many newcomers were brought up by him. If it weren’t for this injury, he might have been a competitor for the president’s position.”

”But once he steps back, he won’t have that qualification.”

Chen Wen cautiously asked, ”Is there something special about the vice president and president positions?”

Hua Yun nodded, ”Of course, beyond money and status, becoming a vice president means access to more resources and information, which are very advantageous for survival.”

”But you’ve just joined, and your experience is not enough, so this time you probably don’t have a chance.”

Chen Wen waved his hand, ”Never mind, I don’t want it anyway. By the way, where’s my teammate? I don’t know what kind of personality and survival style they have.”

In Abel’s survival, there was also a contestant from Hua Country.

That would be the third vice president of the Exploration Association, Feng Zhong.

He sounds old by name, but he’s actually the youngest of the five vice presidents, just over thirty this year.

”Mr. Feng is relatively steady and has the demeanor of Mr. Qu.”

At the mention of Feng Zhong, Hua Yun reminisced, ”Back in the day, Mr. Feng was Mr. Qu’s protégé and was called the King of Newcomers!”

”He’s very skilled at surviving in environments with many beasts and adept at enticing beasts to fight each other while he takes advantage, a very steady person.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen’s eyes lit up.

”Good, I like steady people.”

Hua Yun glanced at Chen Wen, ”But you’re not that steady yourself. I’m a bit worried if Mr. Feng will work with you.”

”Out here, if he doesn’t partner with me, his fellow countryman, who else? Yoshikawa Feng?”

Chen Wen clicked his tongue, ”Besides, how am I not steady? We’ve survived over two months, surely you know my style by now?”

”I know, that’s why I said it. Here we are.”

Hua Yun said as he pushed open the door.

In the room was a sturdy middle-aged man with a gentle look, quite tall, and Chen Wen estimated him to be nearly two meters.

Very robust.

He turned his head as he heard the door open.

”Yun, Chen Wen, hello. I just heard from Mr. Zhao that you were coming.”

Feng Zhong said, his eyes lingering on Chen Wen for a long time.

”Mr. Feng, is your injury serious this time?”

Feng Zhong nodded, ”It’s alright, just superficial wounds. If it weren’t for Mr. Zhao dropping the ball, winning this championship might have been even easier.”

Chen Wen felt a bit sorry for Adam when this was brought up.

In survival in South America, Adam faced dual obstacles from Feng Zhong and Zhao Tian’cai.

The two vice presidents teamed up, finding Adam within a week and dismantling his shelter, stealing his food.

Forced Adam to withdraw quickly.

Feng Zhong was the champion of this survival contest, crowned king after battling for forty days in the Patagonia Desert of South America.

Meanwhile, he was invited by Abel to become Chen Wen’s next opponent and teammate.

Feng Zhong spoke, looking at Chen Wen, getting straight to the point, ”In this survival, we can cooperate, but after entering the top three, the cooperation ends.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen decisively nodded, ”Of course, with our strong alliance, surely other contestants will suffer.”

Feng Zhong initially nodded but then shook his head, ”We can’t be careless. Our alliance is almost inevitable, so they will be prepared. Ten contestants, aside from us, there are eight others. Two against eight is practically courting death, it’s better to be cautious.”

Cautious?

After I tame two African elephants, I’ll show the other contestants what brutality means!

Chen Wen nodded, ”Of course, caution first.”

After discussing survival, Feng Zhong also reminded the two of some necessary checks and let them leave.

”Five vice presidents, three hospitalized, our association surely has it.”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but remark.

Hua Yun laughed, ”That’s nothing. The year before you came, the association saw the president and five vice presidents hospitalized simultaneously. Now that was exciting.”

”That incident is recorded in the association’s history; you can take a look if you have time.”

Complete annihilation, impressive!

Chen Wen said, ”I’ve met everyone, so it’s time for the check-up next?”

”Yes, from the afternoon, comprehensive checks, the hospital knows what aspects we need to be examined. Just listen to Lin Jiawei. He’s a responsible person.”

Chen Wen nodded.

He’s quite satisfied with this work assistant.

Everything that needs doing is done well.

...

During the thorough and lengthy checks at the hospital, Liu Yu also arrived.

After all, with three vice presidents injured, as president, he needed to show some concern.

On the way, he found Chen Wen.

”You’re recovering well.”

Seeing Chen Wen in high spirits, Liu Yu said in surprise.

Chen Wen shook his head, ”I wasn’t really injured, Mr. Liu, why are you here?”

”Just checking on those guys, click-click, everyone works so hard.”

Liu Yu said, then looked at Chen Wen, ”By the way, your four animals have been settled, still at that private zoo.”

Chen Wen recalled something, ”Right, speaking of that private zoo, where is it located? I searched online and couldn’t find it.”

Liu Yu chuckled, ”It’s a private zoo, of course, you couldn’t find it. Tell you what, when you’re able to be discharged, I’ll take you there to have a look.”

Chen Wen waved his hand repeatedly, ”No need for that, just tell me where the zoo is, and I’ll go myself.”

Liu Yu was amused, ”Why so polite with me? I’ll just take you there. Besides, I also have some matters to handle there, so it’s on the way.”

After speaking, Liu Yu glanced at the check-up reports on the table and reminded again, ”The parasites in your body are not many. Check again after some time. Also, don’t underestimate psychological problems. Many into survival have certain psychological issues, which may seem minor but can be life-threatening if they erupt. In the wilderness, if you have psychological issues, it’s hard to recover.”

Chen Wen was quite comforted by Liu Yu’s constant advice.

He’s someone who cares!

After chatting for a bit more, Liu Yu waved his hand, ”Rest well. When the doctors allow you to be discharged, give me a call, and I’ll come to pick you up.”

”Alright.”

...

With Chen Wen’s cooperation and the entry providing potent recovery abilities,

In about five days, Chen Wen walked out of the hospital in good health.

He waited for a bit downstairs and saw Liu Yu arrive.

Liu Yu was driving and upon seeing Chen Wen, he said directly, ”Get in the car, put your luggage in the back. There’s a bit of traffic today, not sure if we can catch the high-speed train.”

This time, the two were heading to the northeast.

The private zoo was located in a remote area near the outskirts of Da Xing’an Ridge.

Rushed all the way, they managed to catch the high-speed train.

Someone was waiting to pick them up after getting off the train.

In an off-road vehicle, through bumpy roads, they finally reached the secluded zoo not open to the public.

The zoo was very low-profile, with no visible sign, just the words on the right side: [Zoo under the Wild Animal Protection Association].

”Is this under the Animal Protection Association?”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but ask.

The young driver glanced at Chen Wen and explained with a smile, ”It used to be, but the deficit was too severe, so it was transferred to private management. It’s still nominally an association’s sub-organization but doesn’t need funding allocation, self-sufficient.”

”Rest assured, everything is compliant and legal.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen nodded.

At the entrance, a very energetic old man was the gatekeeper.

He glanced at the young man before opening the big gate.

Still the traditional iron gate from the past century, it didn’t look very modern.

Chen Wen murmured to himself.

But as he walked into the zoo, Chen Wen was taken aback by the scene in front of him.
