Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 746: 56 Chapters: Bad News

A black figure raced down the street, and a few seconds later, another figure sped by.

Hassan Sabbah (Faceless), who was on the run, was very puzzled as to why the enemy could track his whereabouts and chase him so far. He had clearly used Breath Interruption.

Hassan Sabbah (Faceless), who had been chased across several blocks, felt helpless. He had witnessed Su Xiao’s close combat ability; if caught now, he was certain to die. Compared to close combat with Su Xiao, Faceless would rather assassinate the King of Heroes.

As a Heroic Spirit, Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) didn’t even have the ability to fight Su Xiao head-on, which was somewhat embarrassing, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Su Xiao was a Berserker-class, even though he was a fake, but this meant his physical fitness could compare to the Berserker-class.

And Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) was an Assassin-class, specializing in concealment and assassination. Being locked on by Su Xiao with the Eye of the Apostle, it was only natural to be in such a sorry state.

While running, Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) split off a persona clone, which looked very similar to Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) himself.

After the persona clone appeared, the two split to escape, one left, one right. Although it could mislead Su Xiao, Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) noticeably slowed down.

Pursuing, Su Xiao quickly noticed the situation ahead, the red figure turned from one into two, and their speed suddenly decreased.

It wasn’t the first time such a situation occurred. Although Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) wasn’t slow, facing Su Xiao’s A+ Agility Attribute, the distance he could escape relied solely on sacrificing his persona clone.

Su Xiao quickly chased after one of the Faceless, at a distance of about ten meters, a faint blue blade aura slashed out.

Zheng.

The blade aura aimed for the Faceless’s spine. If this was a persona clone, it would definitely stop to block Su Xiao, thus buying time.

Unexpectedly, the Faceless suddenly sped up and leaped to dodge the blade aura, this was the main body. Once the persona clone is removed, the main body would exhibit such a sudden increase in speed.

Su Xiao stomped on the ground, creating a big pit beneath his foot.

Whoosh~

Su Xiao’s figure disappeared; his speed wasn’t originally that fast, but it was different when using Shave.

In just an instant, Su Xiao had already charged behind Hassan Sabbah (Faceless).

”It’s this incredible speed again...”

The expression under Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s skeleton mask was somewhat helpless; he couldn’t even sense where the enemy was at the moment.

Psst.

Blood splattered, Faceless only felt a numbness in his thigh, his body started to lean forward, and with a thud, he fell to the ground.

A severed leg rolled far across the road. Cutting through the body of a Third Tier Top Main Tank with Dragon Slash was indeed somewhat laborious, but slashing an enemy of the same tier was as easy as cutting through melons and vegetables.

”Why aren’t you running?”

Su Xiao stopped not far from Faceless, speaking as he slashed out a blade aura, psst, Faceless’s remaining leg was cut off, leaving him sprawling on the ground.

”You...”

Faceless propped himself with one hand, intending to get up, but Su Xiao, without a word, severed the hand supporting him.

Faceless let out a muffled groan, his supporting arm cut off, his skeleton mask on his face hit the ground, and cracks appeared on the white skeleton mask.

”Just kill me; this kind of meaningless torture...”

Psst.

Faceless’s other arm was severed by Su Xiao. In life, Faceless was an assassin, so his pain tolerance was strong.

One slashed people’s limbs as easily as cutting vegetables, the other had no change in expression as his limbs were severed. It was a brutal scene, but it carried a sort of brutal beauty. This was true combat, with no mercy on either side.

Across the street, through the glass window of a luxurious residential building on the second floor, a little girl witnessed this scene.

The little girl had twin ponytails and was peeking at the scene through the curtain gap. Since she was about to sleep soon, she wore only small shorts and a vest. The gruesome scene on the street clearly frightened the little girl, tears already welling in her eyes, her two slender legs trembling incessantly.

The girl’s mother quietly entered the room; she was a beautiful lady. She had also seen the scene on the street from the first floor, so she hurried upstairs to find her daughter, to prevent her daughter from having an accident.

The beautiful lady covered the little girl’s mouth and eyes from behind, causing the little girl, terrified, to collapse and her small body to start struggling, tears uncontrollably streaming out.

”Mmm~”

The beautiful lady quickly whispered in her daughter’s ear, ”Rin, don’t make a sound, whatever you do.”

The beautiful lady’s voice was trembling; she was also very scared, afraid of that thug several dozen meters away who would chop off people’s limbs without a second thought. But for her daughter’s sake, she had to muster up the courage. Hearing her mother’s voice, the little girl whose eyes were covered stopped struggling.

...

Now turned into a human stick, Faceless lay on the roadway. Su Xiao was not purposely torturing him; he wanted to devour the other party’s Heroic Spirit Energy, but before doing so, the other party needed to lose the ability to resist.

Blue smoke gracefully drifted from Su Xiao’s left arm, as he reached towards Faceless’s head.

With one hand, he lifted Faceless, as the blue smoke gradually enveloped him.

”So...it was because of this, devour...”

Faceless’s last words hadn’t finished when the blue smoke of the Core of Devour completely wrapped around him. A dozen seconds later, the prompt from Reincarnation Paradise appeared.

[You have killed Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)]

[Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) was one of the seven Heroic Spirits participating in this Holy Grail War, gaining 7.3% World Source, for a total of 77.5% World Source obtained.]

[Your Talent ’Soul Eater’ activated, permanently increasing Mana Value by 26 points, now totaling 2274 Mana Value.]

[You obtained a Heroic Spirit Chest·Purple (Heroic Spirit Box: Can randomly draw any skill or Noble Phantasm from this Heroic Spirit).]

...

Through the disassembly of the Core of Devour, Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) vanished, transforming into Heroic Spirit Energy, golden Heroic Spirit Energy entered Su Xiao’s palm, using the arm as a channel, entering the Core of Devour near his heart.

The intricately structured Core of Devour began to operate, purifying and refining the Heroic Spirit Energy, ultimately transforming it into a colorless energy.

As the first wisp of colorless energy floated out from the Core of Devour, the Blue Steel Shadow energy within Su Xiao’s body surged up and absorbed the colorless energy entirely.

A few minutes later, Su Xiao opened his eyes; Heroic Spirit Energy had been entirely transformed and absorbed.

[Blue Steel Shadow has been upgraded to LV.29.]

Devouring Faceless didn’t raise the Blue Steel Shadow ability to LV.30, but it was close. Devouring a Heroic Spirit can roughly upgrade Blue Steel Shadow Skill by 1.5 levels.

The various values of the Blue Steel Shadow ability had slightly increased, increasing Mana Value cost, but the amount of Mana Value burned from enemies also increased, and the True Damage inflicted was likewise increased.

Just as Su Xiao was about to close the Skill List, he suddenly noticed that the Awakening Level of the Green Shadow King had increased from 2% to 3%.

Though the increase wasn’t significant, it was a good omen, as he had no clue about the awakening of the Green Shadow King.

Su Xiao speculated that an ultimate ability like the Green Shadow King, once awakened, would become an independent skill rather than a subsidiary ability of Blue Steel Shadow. The reason it was currently in the Blue Steel Shadow skill branch was likely because mastering Blue Steel Shadow was a prerequisite for the Green Shadow King.

Picking up the Dark Purple Quality Heroic Spirit Box from the ground, it resembled a small drawer, finely crafted.

After dealing with Hassan Sabbah (Faceless), four Heroic Spirits remained, of course, excluding Su Xiao himself.

The Berserker-class Heroic Spirit Lancelot had already been killed by Su Xiao, meaning there were already three Heroic Spirit souls in the Holy Grail.

Once there are about five Heroic Spirit souls in the Holy Grail, it will initially manifest in the world; that will be Su Xiao’s chance to complete the mainline mission. He only needs to touch the Holy Grail; obtaining it isn’t necessary.

Finding Heroes isn’t an easy task, and opportunities like today are rare. What troubles Su Xiao is that among the remaining four Heroic Spirits, two have cunning old fox Masters, such as Emiya Kiritsugu and Tokiomi Tohsaka, people who would never appear in the open.

When Tokiomi Tohsaka was mentioned, Su Xiao suddenly wondered, where did Matou Gan Ye go? Could he have gone to beat up Tokiomi? It couldn’t be; Tokiomi had always been in hiding. With Matou Gan Ye’s current intelligence, it was unlikely he could find him.

While Su Xiao was puzzled, his phone rang. Only one person knew this number, so he immediately answered the call.

”Priest, I’m a bit busy right now...”

”I can... hold on... not much time left, come to... chur...”

With a snap, the phone on the other end plunged into deathly silence.

”Priest? Priest?”

No one answered, Su Xiao lowered his eyes; the priest had likely run into trouble. The priest had once given him a weapon, and that weapon had saved Su Xiao’s life at a critical moment.

The priest’s last words were ’come to... chur...’, this was likely telling Su Xiao to go to the church.
