Chapter 745: Chapter 55: Equipment Combination Skill

After tracking for ten minutes, Su Xiao noticed that the red figure ahead suddenly stopped.

Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) stood on a rooftop, looking in Su Xiao’s direction. Although he couldn’t see Su Xiao, he sensed someone was tracking him.

Black smoke emerged, and dozens of Faceless appeared, all wearing the same attire and masks but differing in height and physique.

This was Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s ability: Delusional Illusion, with eighty personalities existing in one body at the same time. When he releases these personalities, they can obtain independent bodies and thoughts, capable of executing tasks alone.

This ability seems powerful, able to turn one person into eighty, but the total amount of Heroic Spirit Energy of Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) remains unchanged. In other words, the more bodies he splits into, the weaker these Faceless become.

At this moment, Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) released 20 personalities. As soon as they appeared, they dashed in all directions.

”A good strategy, but unfortunately, there are too few of them, and their speed has slowed significantly.”

Su Xiao leaped toward a signal tower more than ten meters away. He quickly climbed up the tower, standing on the top of the iron tower, dozens of meters high.

The twenty Faceless fled in different directions, and in the detection of the Eye of the Apostle, these were all real entities.

Standing high up, the night wind tousled Su Xiao’s short hair, as a nearly two-meter-long sniper rifle appeared in his hand, it was the Spider Queen.

Habitually ejecting the magazine for inspection, there were ten 17.36mm caliber bullets inside.

Su Xiao fitted the magazine, pulled the bolt to load a round, and pressed a metal button on the side of the rifle.

Beep～

The Spider Queen switched from single-shot mode to continuous shooting mode. The single-shot mode requires pulling the bolt to load after each shot, though slower in rate of fire, it is more stable and with higher precision.

In continuous shooting mode, you can keep pulling the trigger until the bullets in the magazine are used up.

Adjusting the Spider Queen’s ’Optical Infrared Detector’ to eight times zoom, Su Xiao leaned in to the scope. With the assistance of the Eye of the Apostle, the twenty Faceless appeared as red figures. Even if there were buildings obstructing between them and Su Xiao, Su Xiao could still see their positions.

This effect surprised Su Xiao. The combination of the Spider Queen and the Eye of the Apostle produced this effect, making it impossible for enemies to escape.

Su Xiao took a deep breath, his heartbeat slowed, and the crosshair in the scope became less shaky, eventually stabilizing completely.

It took Su Xiao less than three seconds to prepare for shooting after taking out the Spider Queen.

The crosshair in the scope was aimed at one Faceless, who was fleeing quickly towards the southwest of Fuyuki City, but between Su Xiao and that Faceless were a building and two concrete walls.

Su Xiao pulled the trigger, feeling the recoil on his shoulder as the bullet exited the muzzle.

The 17.36mm caliber bullet, even after leaving the casing, was incredibly large, a giant among bullets.

Moreover, the Spider Queen’s bullets were special ammunition, though expensive, they flew extremely fast and had strong penetration capability.

This bullet spun rapidly in the air. Due to its extreme speed, the bullet head began to turn red. Its first target was the outer wall of a building.

The bullet tore through the building’s outer wall without pause, immediately flying out from the other side of the building.

Not only that, but the bullet also penetrated two concrete walls consecutively, heading straight for the throat of a Faceless.

The Faceless sensed something rushing at him, but before his body could react, a feeling of impact came from his throat area.

Bang!

The gunshot pierced the night sky, and before the sound spread, the bullet had already penetrated the throat of a Faceless.

With a splattering sound, the Faceless’ head and half of his torso shattered. Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) was never a thick-skinned Heroic Spirit, with C-level muscle strength and D-level durability.

Moreover, Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) had split into 19 personas to shake off Su Xiao, so his muscle strength of C and durability of D were divided by twenty, making the split Faceless easily imaginable with such weakness.

For this reason, the Spider Queen shattered the upper body of a Faceless with one shot, thanks also to the Spider Queen’s equipment effect 3 bonus.

Equipment Effect 3: Shatterer (Passive), increases the chance of shattering the enemy by 30%.

...

Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) made the wrong choice by splitting into twenty in front of Su Xiao, who mastered Spear Mastery at LV.30.

Moreover, Su Xiao had found a vantage point. With the LV.30 Firearms Proficiency’s ’42% increase in firearms weapon attack power’ bonus, using the Spider Queen to snipe the Faceless fleeing around was no different from target practice; just hit the chest, head, neck, or other vital spots, and it’s a one-shot-obliteration.

Bang, Bang, Bang...

Su Xiao continuously pulled the trigger. After the Spider Queen switched to continuous shooting mode, the firepower was guaranteed. As for precision, Spear Mastery LV.30 could compensate for it.

The Faceless were shattered, and their shattered flesh splattered on walls, glass windows, iron doors, and drains.

Click～

Su Xiao emptied a clip, shattering nine personality clones in total, while one was shot in the legs. It took a total of 6 seconds; with the see-through effect of combining the Eye of the Apostle and the Optical Infrared Detector, Su Xiao didn’t miss a shot, even with building obstructions.

Ejecting the empty magazine and inserting a new clip, Su Xiao could accurately shoot targets up to about 1.5 kilometers away using the Spider Queen. With his current shooting speed, after emptying the second magazine, the remaining ten Faceless would escape his range, so he had to ensure every shot counted.

Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) could split personalities and give them bodies, but he must have an original body.

First, before splitting, all of Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s personalities were within a single body, and after releasing 19 personalities, there were still 61 personalities. Where were those 61 personalities? The answer was in Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s main body.

Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s main body was among the ten fleeing now. As long as he could snipe Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s main body, the remaining personalities were not a threat.

Bang.

The gunfire continued, and before it spread, a personality clone was shattered with each shot, making Su Xiao’s sniping unusually satisfying.

Su Xiao enjoyed the sniping, yet the psychological shadow on Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) was significant; splitting personalities had led to a decline in strength, leaving him unable to confront Su Xiao head-on.

Accurately speaking, even without the personality split, he was no match for Su Xiao. Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s overall abilities were too mediocre. In a direct confrontation, Su Xiao would trounce him, and so would the King of Heroes, the Conqueror King, and others.

One shot exploded the head of a personality clone, and five Faceless were still fleeing below.

At this moment, the remaining five started to converge, as Hassan Sabbah (Faceless) also realized that fleeing like this was futile, with the enemy’s attack range being too extensive.

The Faceless clones vanished, and Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s attributes were restored; although the clones weakened him, after their death, the Heroic Spirit energy would return to his main body.

With his attributes restored, Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s Agility attribute reached A, the only attribute he could rely on.

Noticing Hassan Sabbah (Faceless)’s actions, Su Xiao put away the Spider Queen and leaped off the signal tower, quickly chasing after Hassan Sabbah (Faceless).
