Chapter 1441: Chapter 1440: Difficulties (Waking Up at 7 After a Good Sleep)

”Salad.”

When Fang Zheng opened her eyes again, the first thing she heard was the sound of pages turning.

”Hooah...”

She yawned groggily, then looked over to the side and, as expected, saw Yuzhu sitting opposite her, holding a book.

”Yo, Yuzhu.”

Fang Zheng waved at Yuzhu, and Yuzhu lifted her head to glance at Fang Zheng.

Then she lowered her head again to look at her book.

”Long time no see, I even brought you a gift this time, a specialty from the Capital City. It’s quite tasty.”

As she spoke, Fang Zheng licked her lips.

”I was hoping for something like roasted buns, but unfortunately, in this weird place, after asking for a long time, the best they have is fried dumplings... wanna try some together?”

”.........”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Yuzhu raised her head and silently stared at Fang Zheng without saying a word.

”........”

What’s that supposed to mean?

Seeing Yuzhu’s expression, Fang Zheng scratched her head, and then, a spark of inspiration hit her. She pulled out a piece of pastry from her pocket.

”Ah...”

”.........”

This time, Yuzhu still didn’t speak but obediently opened her mouth and took a bite of the pastry Fang Zheng offered.

How old is she to still need to be fed?

Fang Zheng shrugged, but she didn’t mind. Although a bit curious, Yuzhu obediently eating food resembled a little animal waiting to be fed, and it was quite adorable. So she promptly unwrapped another piece of pastry and raised her hand again.

”Here, ah...”

”.........” (swallowed)

”Ah...”

”.........” (swallowed)

”Ah...”

”.........” (swallowed)

This is not good, it’s super fun!

Seeing the scene before her, Fang Zheng’s eyes sparkled, and she took out another piece of pastry, placing it near Yuzhu’s mouth.

”Ah...”

This time, Yuzhu obediently opened her mouth again, but just as she was about to take a bite, Fang Zheng suddenly pulled her hand back.

But Yuzhu wasn’t easy to deal with either. Almost as if guided, she leaned forward and swiftly bit down on the pastry in Fang Zheng’s hand.

So much fun!

Fang Zheng was hooked on this game and with pastries in both hands, fed them alternately to Yuzhu. Yuzhu, on the other hand, cooperated obediently, eating each piece without hesitation.

Back and forth like this, they ended up finishing an entire bag of pastries.

”Didn’t know you could eat so much.”

Lying on the sofa, Fang Zheng looked at Yuzhu, who remained unfazed, and couldn’t help but click her tongue in wonder. Despite eating so many pastries, even Fang Zheng felt a bit bloated, yet Yuzhu seemed totally at ease, which genuinely surprised Fang Zheng. Meanwhile, Yuzhu silently turned another page in her book without uttering a word.

”Speaking of which, where’s Aoko? I haven’t seen her.”

”Aoko...”

Upon Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Yuzhu finally set her book aside.

”She said she was going traveling.”

”Huh?”

”After graduation, she’s going traveling.”

”She’s not going to university?”

Fang Zheng remembered that Aoko was a high school student, and in Fang Zheng’s mind, graduating from high school generally means going to university... Is Aoko planning not to attend university?

”.........”

Facing Fang Zheng’s question, Yuzhu shook her head without saying anything.

”Bang!”

At this moment, the door opened, and Aoko’s voice rang out.

”Yuzhu, I’m back. What’s for din... why are you here?!”

Seeing Fang Zheng, Aoko’s expression immediately darkened, while Fang Zheng, with a cheeky smile, fixed her gaze on Aoko.

”Why can’t I be here? This isn’t your house.”

”You...”

At Fang Zheng’s retort, Aoko’s face turned red with anger, yet she couldn’t say a word. As Fang Zheng pointed out, this wasn’t her house. In fact, even Aoko herself was just a temporary resident. So, who comes and who doesn’t, she really had no say in.

Dealing with this little girl with the red ponytail always gave Aoko a headache. Not only was her background mysterious, but she was also incredibly capable. Even after becoming a Mage, Aoko couldn’t defeat her. Aoko had even used her connections to investigate through the Mage’s Association and inquired with her grandfather, but to no avail—there was no information on this red ponytail at all, it was as if this little girl had appeared out of thin air...

”Anyway, leaving that aside, I heard you’re not planning to go to university?”

Fang Zheng quickly changed the topic, and Aoko let out a soft snort.

”So what, is there a problem?”

”Couldn’t you get in?”

This was the only answer Fang Zheng could think of.

But when Aoko heard this, she immediately jumped up.

”What do you mean I can’t pass! I’m the student council president! I’ve been the president for three years!”

Aoko extended three fingers, almost wanting to poke them into Fang Zheng’s mouth.

”I’m the top student in the whole school, how could I not pass!”

”Then why don’t you take the exam?”

”I’m a Mage now, why would I go to university?”

Aoko declared that she was steady as a rock now, being a Mage seemed to make university irrelevant.

However, Fang Zheng’s focus was different from Aoko’s.

”So you became a Mage and still can’t pass the university exam? What’s the use of being a Mage then?”

”I said it’s not that I can’t pass, I just don’t want to take it!”

Aoko was almost driven mad. If she wasn’t unable to beat Fang Zheng, she would have pounced on and fought with him by now.

But in the end, Aoko gave up on the idea. After all... getting pinned down again by that Red Ponytail girl for a beatdown would be unbearable.

”But if you don’t take the exam, how would I know whether you can pass?”

Fang Zheng had become somewhat addicted to teasing Aoko.

”Besides, you’re so young, what will you do if you don’t go to college? Being a Mage can’t sustain you forever. Isn’t it time to contribute to society a bit? Even if it’s going to Africa for charity or volunteering... Oh, at least you’ll need to pass the Eastern Medicine University.”

”I...”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s nonsense, Aoko was genuinely speechless. Indeed, at her age, if not attending university, what should she do? In fact, even Aoko didn’t know, which is why she decided to travel after graduating from high school. But hearing Fang Zheng’s words... university seemed like a good option?

However...

”But I’m a Mage, why should I go to university?”

”As the ancients said, read thousands of books and travel thousands of miles. Now that you’re a Mage, you’re going to stop learning? What are you living for, might as well hang yourself somewhere, or find a guy and have kids.”

”What did you say?”

”What, am I wrong? With your big chest and wide hips, you’re definitely built for easy childbirth. You could probably birth a soccer team. Wonder which man will die under your belly.”

”You... I’m going to fight you!”

”Bring it on if you’re not afraid of death, let’s see if your memory only lasts seven seconds!”

And so, Fang Zheng and Aoko spent the entire night arguing whether Aoko should go to university or get married, then found their own places to sleep. The next morning, before either of them got up, Fang Zheng quietly slipped out of the house and left.

”Creak—bang.”

Hearing the sound of the door closing from downstairs, Aoko sighed helplessly, opened her door, and walked out of the room. She saw Yuzhu standing quietly in the hallway, motionlessly staring at the staircase.

”I say, she left.”

”Mm.”

In response to Aoko’s words, Yuzhu merely nodded slightly and then took out a piece of pastry, popping it into her mouth.

”You... never mind, I’ll pretend I didn’t say anything.”

Seeing Yuzhu’s silent expression, Aoko wanted to say something, but ultimately said nothing, merely sighing helplessly.

”Next time she comes, you must tell me in advance. I don’t want to see that annoying person again!”

”...........”

However, to Aoko’s words, Yuzhu just blinked and remained silent.

Unaware of the conversation between Aoko and Yuzhu, Fang Zheng, after bothering Aoko, returned to his true form, left the Type Moon World satisfied, and then entered the Mech World.

”You want to meet people from other worlds?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s invitation, His Majesty immediately felt nervous. Although she, as His Majesty of the Chinese Federation, had matured a lot, listening to Fang Zheng’s introduction still left her feeling a bit uneasy.

After all, these were people from different worlds, different civilizations, different backgrounds!

”Don’t worry, they’re all good kids, and this is not any political exchange, just a normal meetup to get to know each other and make friends.”

Fang Zheng naturally understood why His Majesty reacted that way. After all, this world is a rare multiverse with everything from the Orb Earth Federation to ZAFT, and these ”transmigrators” didn’t leave a good impression on His Majesty, leading to her cautious attitude towards people from other worlds.

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, His Majesty breathed a slight sigh of relief.

”That’s good then... um, Elder Brother?”

At this point, His Majesty suddenly seemed a bit embarrassed.

”Can I bring a few people along?”

”Who?”

Upon hearing His Majesty’s question, the first person Fang Zheng thought of was Kagura Yaya. If it were her, Fang Zheng would definitely refuse. Though a young girl, she’s notorious for her mischievous and infuriating demeanor, and frankly, if possible, Fang Zheng never wants to see her again.

”It’s my sister Euphemia...”

”Euphemia...”

Hearing this name, Fang Zheng immediately felt a headache.

If he remembered correctly, she seemed to be his fiancée in this world... although Fang Zheng himself never agreed to that.

”Uh... well...”

”Is it not possible?”

”It’s not that it’s impossible...”

Sighing, Fang Zheng nodded.

”Alright, no problem.”
