Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1416: Chapter 1415: System, You Screwed Me Again! (It’s Really Too Hot Today)

The girls were quite welcoming of Fang Zheng’s arrival. And they were willing to provide their opinions on various demands and ideas for hosting the LIVE.

However, sometimes Fang Zheng doubted whether he truly had a communication gap with the young people of this era. Otherwise, why did he feel like he couldn’t understand what they were saying?

For example.....

”Um... what exactly to do? As long as everyone KIRAKIRA together.”

”...KIRAKIRA?”

”That’s right, KIRAKIRA, KIRAKIRA is the best!!”

”???”

What the heck is that all about?

”Of course everyone should laugh together. As long as everyone laughs happily, then it’s a success! YEAH! Smile! Smile!”

”...Specifically?”

”Um... just like this, ’pop’, then ’clang’, and finally ’whoosh’, and everyone will be happy!”

”......”

Fang Zheng thought, they are just cute little girls. In a gaming company, anyone making requests like that would have been beaten up, no matter how cute they are.

But fortunately, there were still a few reliable people.

”About the placement of equipment, and the lighting...”

”Uh-huh...”

For these, Fang Zheng was very serious about remembering them, occasionally raising some of his own questions. Although he had stage performance experience, Fang Zheng never cared about stage layouts and left it to the staff to handle. But when wanting to host a LIVE, SchoolDays needed to have its own style.

This was a relatively high requirement for Fang Zheng.

After watching a day of LIVE performances, Fang Zheng had a better understanding of the characteristics of these girls’ bands. Their characteristics were quite distinct. For example, Afterglow’s feature is rock, Roselia’s feature is chuunibyou (delusions of grandeur), Hello, Happy World!’s feature is being noisy, and Poppin’Party’s feature is being good at stand-up comedy... Although the last one strictly speaking isn’t a characteristic that a band should have.

So what about SchoolDays?

Strictly speaking, SchoolDays wasn’t a very lively band, which was largely related to their personnel composition, like Fang Zheng, Touma, and Setsuna, who all belong to the calm type, and Yukina simply cooperated with others. To say who was lively, only the world was comparatively lively.

But as the drummer, she certainly couldn’t carry the entire scene.

This also led to SchoolDays rarely having a large group of people enthusiastically shouting YEAH, WAAAGAAA during performances. Therefore, SchoolDays’ LIVE, rather than being a LIVE, was more like a concert of a relatively orthodox style...

By the way, where was the world?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng took a glance and found that she wasn’t standing alone by herself feeling sorry, but instead she had run off to join others in a lively chat!

It has to be said, the world is indeed the kind of person who makes friends easily...

But I have other plans!

”Thank you very much, everyone.”

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng put away his notebook and smiled at the girls in front of him.

”How about this? It’s just noon, and everyone must be hungry too. Why don’t I treat everyone to lunch?”

”Of course, no problem.”

Upon hearing this, the girl with long silver hair nodded first, and the girl with golden hair beside her also happily raised her hand.

”Sure, it’s fun to eat together, wait for me, I’ll go call Michelle... Ah, Meisaki, have you seen Michelle...?”

That’s right, this was Fang Zheng’s second move, which is — everyone come together!

If it’s just a man and a woman, regardless of intentions, the atmosphere easily turns into a date. However, if you gather a big group for a meal, it’s different. Although Fang Zheng hadn’t invaded the FBI’s little vault in this world, he still had plenty of money. Treating the present crowd to a meal was no problem at all.

The girls present were also happy to accept Fang Zheng’s invitation. After all, Fang Zheng was inviting everyone, not just one or two people. Besides, Fang Zheng was so handsome and talented, they didn’t think he would have any ill intentions during their meal together.

The situation was just as Fang Zheng had imagined.

While eating together was lively, the world and Fang Zheng couldn’t catch a break, sitting several people apart making it impossible to converse, only listening to the chatter of other girls.

From a dating perspective, this could be considered quite a failure.

But from Fang Zheng’s perspective, this was very successful. Not only that, after lunch, he specifically grabbed a few people to discuss topics such as lighting performances at the LIVE until he looked at the time and decided it was enough.

When Fang Zheng and the world left the family restaurant, it was already three in the afternoon.

”I am so sorry.”

Walking on the road, Fang Zheng sincerely apologized to the world, but how sincere he was, was anyone’s guess.

”No, it’s nothing.”

Facing Fang Zheng’s apology, the world lowered her head and shook it, not saying much. But in Fang Zheng’s view, it was clear the world was sulking... hahaha, this was a solid win.

”Well then...”

”Let’s sit at the park over there for a while.”

However, before Fang Zheng could say anything, the world suddenly spoke up, pointing to the park beside them. Naturally, Fang Zheng wouldn’t refuse this request.

”Alright.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng led Sora into the park, then sat down on a bench. Fang Zheng even bought two bottles of cold drinks... Although a bit underhanded, if Sora got an upset stomach from the drinks, today’s date could end without any further ado.

At least, that’s what Fang Zheng hoped.

He was quite scheming to ruin today’s date.

However, Sora seemed unaware of Fang Zheng’s ”little plans,” and she just played with the drink in her hand without any intention of drinking it. Eventually, after a little while, Sora took a deep breath, looked up at Fang Zheng, and smiled.

”Today was really interesting. Come to think of it, I’ve never had a date like this before. Now it seems that everyone having fun together is quite enjoyable as well.”

”Is that so? That’s good.”

Watching Sora’s radiant smile, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but feel uneasy. He wasn’t an idiot who couldn’t read the atmosphere. Fang Zheng could tell that Sora wasn’t forcing a smile but was genuinely happy... Seriously, you’re this happy on a date where you’re almost ignored by the guy? Why even bother finding a boyfriend?

”So, next... it’s the last part...”

”The last part?”

”Yeah...”

At this, Sora turned her head away shyly.

”It, it’s a confession, right? After the date, there should be a confession?”

”Well, that’s true...”

With this, Fang Zheng’s ominous premonition grew stronger. This was his intuition as a Prophet Mage... But he still didn’t know what had gone wrong.

”Well, I’m ready.”

With this, Sora suddenly stood up, staring intently at Fang Zheng. Her gaze was so determined that Fang Zheng was taken aback.

Then, Fang Zheng saw Sora close her eyes, take a deep breath, and then open them again.

”I like you, Haruno-kun.”

”Huh?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng was momentarily stunned, then he tried to remain calm and raised a finger.

”I say, you got the name wrong...”

However, before Fang Zheng finished speaking, Sora leaned down and kissed his lips.

”............”

At that moment, time seemed to stop flowing.

Sora’s kiss was inexperienced, just a light touch of the lips, and only lasted a few seconds. Then they slowly parted, and Sora looked at Fang Zheng, saying nothing.

Fang Zheng also looked at Sora, saying nothing, but his eyes widened slightly in shock!

Because Fang Zheng clearly saw that at the moment Sora confessed to him, a favorability score appeared above her head.

[Favorability: 90].

What the heck!!

How did it get to 90?!

Fang Zheng was completely dumbfounded, then he realized... So that’s how it is, the favorability is hidden unless the person realizes their feelings?

So that means... Sora had a favorability score before because she had already confessed to me?

And the other girls... if I think about it, it was indeed after the confession that I noticed the favorability!

So before that, the favorability score was hidden?!! There’s actually such a mechanic?

Damn it, system, you’re screwing me over again!! Are you trying to kill me?

Just when Fang Zheng didn’t know what to say, suddenly, a voice came from not far away.

”...Sora... Classmate Haruno? What are you... doing?”

Hearing this voice, the two turned their heads to see Yukina standing there, staring at them in shock, her mouth open but unable to speak. Next to her, Touma was silent as well. Sora covered her face with her hand, as if she couldn’t bear to look.

”Uh, Yukina...”

Seeing Yukina, Sora instinctively took a step back, a trace of panic appearing on her face. She didn’t know what to say for a moment, while Yukina just looked at Sora for a moment, then turned and ran away.

”Yukina!!”

Watching Yukina leave, Sora quickly chased after her, leaving the three remaining people looking at each other. Touma looked at Fang Zheng, and after a moment, sighed and turned away, while Sora walked over to sit next to Fang Zheng, looking at him helplessly.

”Bro, what now?”

”How would I know.”

Faced with Sora’s question, Fang Zheng could only hold his head in frustration. Everything was going so smoothly, how did it end up like this?

Now... what to do?
