Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1430: Chapter 1429: What the Hell Is This Paradise?!

”So, the Heavenly Dao Palace is going to build an amusement park?”

Standing next to Fang Zheng, Illya seemed quite excited.

”That’s great... an amusement park... I haven’t been to one for a long time.”

”The last time everyone went to an amusement park together was in Sister Anya’s world...”

Fumie Busei was also quite looking forward to it. The last time they went to an amusement park was in Lelouch’s world. At that time, Fang Zheng and the others went shopping, leaving Atalanta and Belfast to take a group of little girls to enjoy a day at the amusement park.

And now, the Heavenly Dao Palace is finally building its own amusement park!

”Ha...”

However, compared to the excited little girls, Fang Zheng appeared rather depressed.

”What’s wrong, bro?”

Curiously looking at Fang Zheng, Sora asked, and Fang Zheng shook his head.

”I just think this amusement park isn’t that simple...”

While speaking, Fang Zheng turned his gaze back to the system in front of him. In the system’s building exchange menu, there was only one project for an amusement park.

[Amagi Brilliant Park (!)]

That’s right, with an exclamation mark.

Seeing this exclamation mark, Fang Zheng knew there was trouble. It meant that the amusement park came with tasks!

Fang Zheng had previously considered exchanging for Amagi Brilliant Park, but he was so sick of tasks at the time that he gave up upon seeing that it had tasks associated with it. But now, since Nanoka said it’s better for a city to have an amusement park, there’s no avoiding it.

Oh well, let’s exchange for it.

With this thought in mind, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, then reached out and lightly touched the surface. Soon, a line of information appeared.

[Would you like to exchange for the construction of Amagi Brilliant Park?]

”Yes.”

As Fang Zheng’s words fell, a colorful radiance suddenly descended from the sky, landing on the vacant land in front of everyone. Before long, a vast, grand amusement park appeared before them.

Seeing this scene, everyone couldn’t help but exclaim, ”Oh...”

But when the radiance dissipated, and the amusement park revealed itself entirely before everyone, their expressions immediately became complex.

What appeared before them was a plaza and a gate, but... everything was... dilapidated.

”Wow, this place isn’t going out of business, is it?”

Little Hei frowned, looking disdainfully at the gate in front of him. The gate of the amusement park was designed in a Western style, resembling the outer gate of a fortress. But the walls around showed signs of collapse, and the nearby shops all had tightly shut doors. The entrance and exit were rusted, looking almost abandoned. Not only that, the ground was cracked, with weeds growing everywhere.

It looked no different from a post-apocalyptic world.

”Ha... I knew it would be like this.”

Seeing this, Fang Zheng looked up at the sky with a resigned expression. As they say, you get what you pay for. When he previously exchanged for a planetarium, it turned out to be a broken projector and a seemingly old and worn-out robot. This Amagi Brilliant Park was not only cheap but also had a special task-related exclamation mark. If he expected no issues, that would indeed be strange.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng looked behind him.

This time, besides Sora, Fang Zheng was accompanied by Yoshino, Little Hei, and Illya to the amusement park. Of course, to gauge more opinions, he also brought along Fumie Busei, Nanoha, Fate, Little Sakura, and Shisei.

Originally, everyone was quite looking forward to the amusement park, but...

”Alright, let’s go in first.”

Although it looked as run-down as a post-apocalyptic amusement park ruin, there were still staff selling tickets. After buying tickets, Fang Zheng and the others entered the amusement park. However, the scene inside left everyone speechless...

”I thought the inside would at least be a little better...”

Looking at the almost unbearable sight before him, Fang Zheng’s mouth twitched.

Upon entering the amusement park, there was a large plaza, clearly meant for resting and crowd control. But at the moment, it was deserted, and the fountain in the plaza had long dried up. The clock, meant as a plaza centerpiece, was rusted, and seemed to have stopped working ages ago. The trash cans were scattered everywhere, with barely any trash inside... Fang Zheng even saw a dried-up frog in the dry pond...

It’s even worse than a garbage dump!

”Bro, this amusement park is so pitiful.”

”I can see that...”

Without Sora’s complaints, Fang Zheng had already noticed...

”Welcome to Amagi Brilliant Park.”

Just then, a voice called out. Everyone turned to look, spotting a brown-haired girl with a red uniform and a good figure standing there, expressionless, gazing at them... she must be a staff member of the amusement park.

”Please follow me.”

After saying this, the girl turned and walked away.

”.........???”

Watching this scene, Fang Zheng and the others exchanged glances.

What is this, welcoming a guest? Sure, some amusement parks have guides for tourists, but can you at least show a bit of enthusiasm?

Even the robot at the Planetarium knows more about hospitality than you do!

Although their minds were filled with sarcastic comments, everyone obediently followed the girl in the red uniform into the amusement park.

”This is Magician’s Hill.”

Standing in front of a dilapidated gate reminiscent of a kindergarten from the eighties or nineties, the brown-haired girl introduced in a monotone and expressionless manner.

”This is one of the themed areas of Amagi Brilliant Park. The mascots from the Magic Kingdom’s ’Maple Red Paradise’ live here in this fairy tale-themed zone filled with dreams.”

”Haah...”

In theory, applause should follow. But looking at this rundown, lifeless place, which could double as a ghost house without any further decoration... Even Little Sakura and Nanoha didn’t know what expressions they should wear.

You talk about dreams... but where are the dreams amidst the rusty gates, kindergarten-level graffiti, and all these shuttered shops?

Who would want such a dream!

However, the brown-haired girl didn’t seem to care. Like a robot set to a path, she led everyone to a... a small house on the verge of collapse with her insincere introduction.

”This is Tiramisu Garden Adventure. Tiramisu is the spirit of flowers; let’s take the dream train that cleanses the soul and head towards a world filled with love and joy.”

”............”

It’s fortunate it was a sunny day; if it were cloudy with a thunderstorm, this place could easily serve as a ghost house without makeup.

”Welcome...”

Although this was supposed to be a world of love and joy, the ticket seller looked lifeless and half-dead. As he watched the brown-haired girl lead Fang Zheng and the group inside, he merely lifted his eyelids in acknowledgment, as if he was groggy from an all-nighter.

”... Ten people.”

Having come this far, Fang Zheng stepped forward to buy the tickets, watching as the lethargic ticket checker checked their tickets and guided them onto a tour train, which then started moving slowly...

”Clang!”

”Whoa!!”

Shortly after the tour train started, Fang Zheng heard a loud crash underfoot, and the entire chair he was sitting on tipped over sharply, almost throwing him to the ground! The girls behind him were also startled, with Sora clinging tightly to Fang Zheng’s arm, frozen in fear.

Meanwhile, the brown-haired girl’s flat voice resounded again.

”The track seems to have shifted; please be careful.”

”Wait, you can still operate with this?”

Fang Zheng had been holding it in all along and could no longer keep quiet.

”This is attempted murder! Do you have any safety precautions in place? What’s with the track misalignment! Isn’t this very dangerous?”

But in response to Fang Zheng’s complaint, the brown-haired girl calmly nodded.

”It is very dangerous.”

”............”

This so-called ”Fantasy Cottage” is essentially like the tour area of Disneyland. Visitors ride the train around, with various small theaters or cartoon characters greeting them along the way. Of course, it also has its unique cartoon characters. On both sides of the track, there are various flowers and some signs.

However...

”Wel......come......to......Tira......mi......su’s......”

Looking at the broken flowers on both sides of the track, stuttering their words, Little Sakura clung tightly to Shisei, with Illya holding Little Hei, pale with fright. Behind them, Yoshino and Fumie Busei clung to each other.

Where’s the love and dreams here! Fang Zheng felt that if the lights were dimmer, this place could be sent straight to Tenjin Elementary! No, you should just dim the lights...

Seeing these flowers, either from disrepair or electrical issues, tremble wildly while stuttering their lines, Fang Zheng felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end! Meanwhile, Sora was curled up in Fang Zheng’s embrace, anxiously peering around, too scared to speak.

But not everyone was afraid of this stuff.

”Wow, this seems fun...”

Yukiko quietly appeared on Fang Zheng’s shoulder, excitedly watching everything in front of her with great zeal.

Is this amusement park really meant for humans?

What kind of spooky amusement park is this!
