Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1436: Chapter 1435: Fang Zheng’s Thoughts (I Will Definitely Get Hoshiguma!)

Fang Zheng didn’t expect that this experiment would end in failure.

Of course, what he didn’t expect the most was that these four Elemental Sprite girls were so timid, Muse even got so scared she peed herself... Of course, it couldn’t continue, so Fang Zheng had to inform Yukiko to end the operation and then bring the four of them back out.

After coming out, Muse and Kobri still looked terrified, and Fire Girl was also pale with fear, only Little Sister Feng remained completely clueless about what had happened.

”Lord Fang Zheng, isn’t this... a bit too scary?”

At this moment, Latifa also nervously suggested to Fang Zheng, in fact, when she saw Fire Girl disappear, even knowing this was just a game test, she still broke out in a cold sweat.

”This is just the beginning...”

Fang Zheng was quite speechless upon hearing Latifa’s protest. According to the game, Muse and the others hadn’t even cleared the prologue, only just learned about the game’s background. According to Fang Zheng’s game design, it should have started with the four of them being isolated in a closed space before the game officially began.

Then, the four girls needed to use their courage and wisdom to find clues, overcoming various obstacles, then meet up again and perform the ritual to banish the undead and go home.

If all went well, it would just take two or three hours to complete everything. But alas, Muse and the others didn’t even last fifteen minutes before quitting. Just how cowardly are people from the Magic Kingdom?

Fang Zheng was extremely frustrated. He had spent several days brainstorming with Yukiko, finally coming up with this game process. He originally wanted to impress Latifa and the others, but before he could fully show off, they had already crumbled... What now?

”Kid, I admit your maze is quite interesting, MOF.”

At this moment, Matsubon, the green-hat-wearing mouse, spoke up.

”But after all, kids are the ones coming here to play, MOF...”

”They may be kids, but they’re not ordinary kids...”

Fang Zheng shook his head. Matsubon and Latifa didn’t realize yet what kind of mischievous kids they were dealing with. They still subconsciously thought they were just a bunch of normal kids. However, it wasn’t that simple, but indeed, he realized he had designed the game too simply, even for those little girls with varying levels of tolerance.

”Alright then, I’ll go back and discuss it again with Yukiko, and we’ll separate the Chapters. Only kids who clear one Chapter can move to the next. I’ll also put up warning signs at the entrance, and we’ll see the rest when we do the trial run.”

With that, Fang Zheng felt quite frustrated. The intricate and scary levels he designed were on par with masterpieces like Silent Hill if made into a video game. But these people from the Magic Kingdom were too cowardly, forcing his work to stop before even a tenth of its charm had been revealed.

Now he had to split the levels apart... Sigh, what a waste...

”Alright.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Latifa breathed a sigh of relief. After all, Amagi Brilliant Park is a paradise to bring love and dreams to the kids. If they scared the visitors, it would defeat the purpose.

However...

”Is it already time for trial operation, Lord Fang Zheng?”

Recalling Fang Zheng’s earlier words, Latifa was somewhat uneasy. Currently, Fang Zheng had only opened two zones in the amusement park, and with his own zone, that made three. All other zones and entertainment facilities were closed. Amagi Brilliant Park had never welcomed guests under such circumstances, which made Latifa a bit worried.

In response to Latifa’s inquiry, Fang Zheng shrugged.

”It’s like game beta testing; we need to conduct several tests to identify problems, find solutions, and then move to official operation. It’s not about the number of visitors, but whether they’re satisfied. If the guests aren’t satisfied, having many doesn’t help, it’s just data.”

For Fang Zheng, the number of visitors wasn’t the issue; it’s the satisfaction that was the real concern.

”Game? Beta testing?”

Fang Zheng’s explanation left Latifa puzzled, but she obediently nodded.

”Alright, no problem. When approximately is the trial operation starting?”

”In two days.”

Facing Latifa’s inquiry, Fang Zheng quickly provided an answer.

”Have all the staff ready, and two days later we’ll begin operations again. Let’s prepare to welcome our first batch of guests!”

Since this is a ”beta test,” Fang Zheng certainly won’t choose randomly. Generally, for a game beta test, you select some representative players to better determine what parts of a game are good and what parts need improvement. Therefore, for the first batch of the ”beta test,” Fang Zheng also found representative choices from various different worlds.

In the Heavenly Dao Palace, Fang Zheng mainly selected those little girls, Natsuse, Midori, Nobiru, and Tina naturally had to come together. In addition to this, Fang Zheng also invited Walnut, Sakurazawa Shizu, and other girls from the Zombie World. They once led ordinary lives as regular people, so their opinions are also necessary references for this amusement park.

Of course, this time Fang Zheng also included Asuna, Black Cat, Yuki, and Eiriri on the list. The entertainment industry in their Game World is highly developed; one could say these girls are professionals in ”playing.” Listening to their opinions is certainly beneficial.

In fact, Fang Zheng’s intention wasn’t purely for playing when building this amusement park. He decided to use this opportunity to fully integrate these Free Worlds under his control.

Currently, in Fang Zheng’s hands, the worlds he can freely access include the Fire Mist World, Type Moon World, Game World, Mech World, Immortal Hero World, Pitch Black World, World of Cicada’s Song, and Magical Girl World.

The girls in the Fire Mist World, Pitch Black World, Type Moon World, Game World, Immortal Hero World, and Magical Girl World know that Fang Zheng can freely travel to other worlds and are aware of the Main World. They have all stayed in the Heavenly Dao Palace.

However, the World of Cicada’s Song is still unaware of this, and in the Mech World, only people like Knight Fang Zheng, Anya, His Majesty Jiang Lihua, and Green-haired CC know about it.

The reason for this is related to Fang Zheng’s considerations and acceptance level of each world.

The Cursed Childs in the Pitch Black World don’t care about this inter-world travel; they just hope to have a warm home. Whereas the Fire Mist World, Type Moon World, and Immortal Hero World all have concepts of similar ”Three Thousand Worlds,” making it easier for them to accept. As for Magical Girl World, it’s clear that without strong acceptance abilities, one couldn’t become a Magical Girl.

But the Mech World and World of Cicada’s Song are a bit different.

Fang Zheng has always been wary of the Mech World because he discovered that, whether in Mass Effect World or Gundam Mech World, the regimes inside are both stupid and corrupt. Once they discover the existence of the Heavenly Dao Palace, who knows what thoughts or sinister ideas they might have.

Therefore, Fang Zheng doesn’t intend to have too much contact with either the Citadel or the Earth Federation.

As for the World of Cicada’s Song, it’s simply because Fang Zheng has too few stakeholders over there, only five or six people, and there’s no need to say much to them.

Previously, Fang Zheng communicated with these worlds one-way, but now, considering he’s about to leave this planet and head for extraterrestrial star systems, Fang Zheng decided to establish a joint institution to unite these worlds. In this way, if one side encounters an issue, even if he isn’t around, others can make decisions or help handle it.

Of course, most representatives from these worlds aren’t rulers, so an amusement park’s opening ceremony would be more effective at bringing people closer together than a serious diplomatic meeting.

However, Fang Zheng is a bit hesitant about inviting members from the Main World to participate.

Balancing relations among different worlds is indeed troublesome, and there’s also the disparity in identities. Of course, if Fang Zheng extends an invitation, Fina and the Golden Dragon Girl could certainly participate as friends without issue.

But it’s different for the Chief of the White Tower from the Magitech Nation. If they attend, there’s a diplomatic equivalence principle involved. It’s like an upper-class noble’s banquet; the attendees certainly have backgrounds, be they high officials or noble descendants. You wouldn’t see a bunch of penniless and powerless commoners at such an occasion, partly due to differing status and partly because there’s no interaction between them, resulting in nothing much to discuss.

According to identity, besides Jiang Lihua being His Majesty, only Fiore, the current Clan Leader of the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, and Shana, the leader of the Fire Mist Warriors, hold the qualification to communicate with the White Tower chiefs.

As for Nanoha, Fate, Little Sakura, Akemi Homura, and Asuna, they are considered ordinary people, and this isn’t just about their identities but also their perspective. After all, these girls are inexperienced in the world; asking Little Sakura or Nanoha to discuss worldly affairs with the White Tower chiefs would leave Fang Zheng feeling extremely awkward.

In this regard, even Princess Latifa from Amagi Brilliant Park is better than the little girls, as she is genuinely a princess of the Magic Kingdom.

Therefore, Fang Zheng is somewhat at a loss.

Inviting them might lead to a dull atmosphere.

But if he doesn’t invite them, it would also be awkward, considering the Magitech Nation has already sent a delegation to the Heavenly Dao Palace, responsible for teaching magecraft to the little girls, which isn’t a secret. If the little girls spread this information and it reaches the White Tower’s instructors, who knows what they might think.

Never mind, it’s just a beta test, the invitation matter can wait until after it.

With this thought, Fang Zheng shook his head and temporarily set aside the idea.

Soon, two days passed.

Then, on the morning of the third day, Amagi Brilliant Park opened once again.

The first beta test formally began.
