Chapter 1429: Chapter 1428: Sora Haruno’s Melancholy (KyoAni Is So Tragic)

”Ha ah...”

Sitting on the sofa, hugging a black rabbit doll, Sora let out a long sigh and curled up.

This is brother’s world.....

Ever since coming to this world, Sora always felt a deep sense of melancholy.

This wasn’t because Fang Zheng neglected her, aside from the time spent in battle, Fang Zheng still cared for Sora. But for Sora, she felt a bit restless.

Because Sora discovered that she seemed unable to help Fang Zheng with anything.

After arriving at the Heavenly Dao Palace, and with Fang Zheng’s introduction, Sora also met and greeted Kurumi, Asuna, Eiriri, Black Cat, and others. Their first impressions of each other were not bad, but....... after seeing their actions, Sora began to feel a bit anxious.

She didn’t have the combat strength of Kurumi or Atalanta. Of course, they weren’t human after all. Yet, even as humans, Asuna, Eiriri, and Black Cat could bravely go to the battlefield and kill enemies. Not only that, they also cooked for Fang Zheng, and Sora often saw them discussing game settings with Fang Zheng.

But Sora couldn’t participate in any of these things.

She couldn’t cook, and due to Fang Zheng, Sora couldn’t even manage basic household chores herself. You can’t expect a sixteen-year-old who still had her brother wash her underwear to have any self-care skills. And as for otaku culture, Sora liked going online, but she wasn’t a hardcore otaku like Eiriri or Black Cat, and they had no common topics.

Although Black Cat and Eiriri had tried several times to include Sora in the conversation, Sora always ended up killing the mood after a few sentences...... eventually withdrawing in embarrassment.

”Ha ah..........”

Sora sighed again.

She was incapable, couldn’t do anything. Staying by her brother’s side, what could she help him with?

Thinking about this, Sora felt somewhat unwilling. If Fang Zheng’s other women also had no skills, it would be fine, but now it seemed like she was the only one here living off others...... this made Sora a bit uncomfortable!

Not to mention Asuna or Kurumi, even those little girls living with brother were far more capable than her. Even that child named Yoshino, who seemed to do nothing but play, had her own unique skills.

But she didn’t know anything......

Even Shizaki Sachiko could help brother......

Sora clenched her fists, biting her lip tight. She couldn’t help but think of her friends from her world, Touma...... Yukina...... The world...... Setsuna...... If any of them were here with her following brother to this world, perhaps she wouldn’t feel so helpless......

”Ding dong.”

Just as Sora was sinking into her thoughts, suddenly the doorbell rang. Hearing the doorbell, Sora paused and looked around. It was then she remembered that everyone in the apartment was either at work or school, even Yoshino seemed to have gone out to play with others, leaving only herself in the apartment......

Thinking of this, Sora swallowed, then, hugging the rabbit, cautiously moved to the door and opened it.

”May I ask who is it?”

”Ah, hello sister.”

Standing outside the door was a girl looking about twelve or thirteen years old, wearing a white uniform. She was holding a hammer taller than herself in her hand, carrying a travel bag on her back. Her long red hair was tied into a single ponytail, swinging like a tail as she moved.

Beside the girl was..... a dog with blue fur?

Upon seeing Sora, the red-haired girl showed a cheerful and lively smile.

”My name is Nanoka Franka, I’ve prepared the city planning book Mr. Fang Zheng commissioned. May I ask if Mr. Fang Zheng..... is he here?”

”Brother...... is not here right now......”

Facing a stranger, Sora instinctively felt a bit nervous. However, the other party was just a kid, so Sora wouldn’t completely avoid her.

”But he said he would be back soon. You should come in first......”

Saying this, Sora opened the door, and Nanoka politely bowed towards her.

”Okay, sorry to disturb.”

With that, Nanoka walked into the room and sat down in the living room. The dog lay at her feet, curiously looking around.

”Please have some tea.”

Sora placed a cup of tea in front of Nanoka, who smiled and thanked her.

”Thank you, sister.”

”You’re welcome......”

Saying this, Sora curled up on the sofa again, hugging the black rabbit. For a moment, neither of them spoke. Nanoka focused entirely on the hot tea in her hand, while Sora didn’t know what to say. After a while, Sora seemed to gather her courage, and in a low voice, she asked.

”Um...... Little sister Nanoka?”

”Hmm? What’s up, big sister?”

Upon hearing Sora’s inquiry, Nanoka curiously looked up at the girl before her.

”That... you just mentioned... my brother had you do... city planning documentation? What’s that about?”

”It’s like this.”

Nanoka didn’t mind at all, cheerfully explaining to Sora.

”Mr. Fang Zheng recently commissioned us at Franca Workshop to design a city plan for the entire Heavenly Dao Palace. I spent over half a month and finally completed it. I’m here to deliver it now.”

”You did this?”

Upon hearing Nanoka’s response, Sora couldn’t hide her astonishment. To think this girl... she’s probably only in middle school!

She was actually able to do city planning?

Although Sora didn’t know exactly who could do city planning, she knew for sure that it’s not something a twelve or thirteen-year-old girl could accomplish. She originally thought this little girl was simply here to deliver something, but never expected that she did it all by herself!

Are people in Heavenly Dao Palace all creatures?!

With that thought, Sora fell into a silence of self-isolation, lowering her head without saying a word. Nanoka, on the other hand, curiously blinked, looking at Sora unsure of what to say.

Soon, a door opening sound broke this somewhat awkward silence. Following that, Fang Zheng walked in yawning.

”Whew...”

”Mr. Fang Zheng!”

Seeing Fang Zheng come in, Nanoka happily stood up and waved at him. Seeing Nanoka, Fang Zheng was momentarily stunned.

”Nanoka? What brings you here?”

”The city planning documentation you entrusted me with, Mr. Fang Zheng, I’ve prepared it.”

As she spoke, Nanoka took out a thick stack of documentation from her backpack and handed it over.

”Oh, right, I remember now.”

Looking at the document in front of him, Fang Zheng suddenly recalled that he had indeed commissioned Nanoka to plan Heavenly Dao Palace and also granted Franca Workshop entry permission. However, due to being too busy afterward, Fang Zheng had put this matter out of his mind. Seeing Nanoka here now, he remembered.

Thus, Fang Zheng sat on the sofa beside them and began flipping through the document before him.

Nanoka possessed quite a bit of understanding of Heavenly Dao Palace, and in this document, she clearly outlined several key points that needed attention, starting with...

”Amusement park?”

Fang Zheng looked at the proposal in the document, baffled, while Nanoka nodded.

”Yes, Mr. Fang Zheng, I think what we need most right now is an amusement park.”

”An amusement park... why?”

Fang Zheng furrowed his brow before asking. To be honest, the children at Heavenly Dao Palace did not lack entertainment facilities—Internet, cellphones, video games, live streaming—everything was there. From Fang Zheng’s perspective, there was simply no need to build an amusement park, as his memories of them were merely from childhood.

However, at that time, there weren’t even mobile phones, and their entertainment revolved around jumping squares and playing red and white games. Hence, amusement parks were quite popular back then. But as time passed, various entertainment activities emerged, and amusement parks were something Fang Zheng had long forgotten. He most vividly recalled visiting his hometown before the start of the year, where he found the amusement park he frequented as a child had been closed for an unknown number of years.

He hadn’t even heard anyone mention it.

”Because an amusement park is the most suitable place for everyone to enjoy happy play together.”

Nanoka quickly explained.

”Though there are many interesting things here, everyone still needs to be together, happily, with some commotion to truly feel joy. Moreover, it helps relieve stress. In addition, the size of an amusement park makes it suitable as a venue for large events...”

”I remember there being many parks within Heavenly Dao Palace.”

”But those parks are too small to accommodate many people.”

That’s true.

Listening to Nanoka’s explanation, Fang Zheng shrugged. Honestly, he’d forgotten about amusement parks, but hearing Nanoka’s reasons... now it seemed there might indeed be a necessity for one.

Considering that he would be leaving this planet for a long period, it was essential to ensure Heavenly Dao Palace’s situation remains stable. An amusement park was a good start... especially since the Magical Girls and Coordinators might be involved in upcoming battles; they would indeed need a place to release stress and relieve pressure. Though unsure if an amusement park could achieve that, it was certainly better than them being alone at home.

With that in mind, Fang Zheng remained silent for a moment before nodding.

”I understand, thank you for your suggestion.”
