Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1438: Chapter 1437: Heaven and Earth Roller Coaster!

After personally experiencing the ”extraordinary” characteristics of the Heavenly Dao Palace visitors, the staff at the amusement park finally lowered their proud heads. Previously, they didn’t accept Fang Zheng, thinking themselves as the experts in this field. But now, they have to admit that they have no experience in dealing with such ”guests”.

So, the next goal for everyone became how to satisfy these special guests.

Of course, Fang Zheng didn’t just leave it at that; after the meeting ended, he immediately sought out the head of facilities in charge of equipment, Wrench Bro.

Wrench Bro isn’t just a nickname; in fact, it’s a giant wrench attached with eyes, ears, a nose, and limbs, resembling the anthropomorphic objects that often appeared in old Disney animations.

”Redesign the rollercoaster?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s request, Wrench Bro was quite surprised.

”That’s right, the rollercoaster. I’ve already done the design drawings, you can start working on it.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, he handed over the drawings, which Wrench Bro glanced at and immediately frowned.

”Boss, are you really planning to do it this way?”

No wonder Wrench Bro had such thoughts; the rollercoaster design on the drawings was entirely different from what he imagined.

The amusement park currently has a rollercoaster, but whether due to safety concerns or other reasons, the whole track lacks any thrill and is mind-numbingly boring.

However, Fang Zheng’s redesign of the rollercoaster track turned it into something entirely different, with all sorts of ninety-degree angles and one-hundred-eighty-degree spins. Just looking at it made Wrench Bro sweat; he even wondered if anyone sitting on it might be scared to death before even getting off.

The rollercoaster reaches a height of 300 meters with a maximum drop of 200 meters, which... an average person would probably get frightened to death by!

”Of course, the safety aspects are left to you.”

If we were to follow Earth’s craftsmanship, the safety of such a rollercoaster would be questionable. However, for the amusement park, is this really a concern?

Isn’t their magic used for this sort of thing?

”Moreover, the rollercoaster should go around the entire park so that all visitors see it. Make it as thrilling as possible. It doesn’t have to be genuinely dangerous, it just needs to feel threatening to those on it. Also, do ensure the safety measures are well implemented.”

”I understand.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s instructions, Wrench Bro nodded, but then he frowned again.

”But this will require a significant amount of money... ”

The equipment and materials for Amagi Brilliant Park, according to Latifa, are shipped from the Magic Kingdom side. Naturally, it costs money. However, the park has been running at a loss due to lack of visitors.

”Invest all previous income into this; from now on, the amusement park will treat the rollercoaster as its main source of revenue.”

Fang Zheng has decided to turn the amusement park into a rollercoaster tycoon... After all, it’s the only amusement park simulation game he’s ever played.

”I understand.”

Since Fang Zheng has given the command, Wrench Bro wouldn’t say more. Previously, although only a thousand guests came, their consumption was significant. It’s worth noting Fang Zheng’s little girls aren’t poor, so spending here was no issue. In fact, out of curiosity, these young girls tried everything in the park, whether food, rides, or souvenirs, causing the amusement park’s revenue to multiply.

As for whether it can be achieved, it undoubtedly can.

Next comes the invitation list for five thousand people, hmm...

Looking at the list before him, Fang Zheng thought for a moment and sent invitations to the White Tower delegation.

Let them come and have a taste.

Quickly, a week passed just like that.

When the mages from the White Tower arrived at the amusement park entrance, it was already morning.

”Is this the amusement park?”

”Looks quite ordinary.”

Since the amusement park had not yet opened, the mage girls gathered together, chatting away. Since arriving at the Heavenly Dao Palace about half a year ago, they had already grown accustomed to life there.

Initially, these girls preferred wearing wizard robes, but now, they look more like modern individuals. The more conservative ones still wear long skirts and boots, while the more outgoing ones already wear mini skirts and knee-high socks. For example, the young lady Delian from the School of Illusions, with her mini skirt, white knee-high socks, and black leather shoes, flaunting her elegant figure.

If her dad saw this, he’d probably be livid.

”What exactly is this amusement park for?”

Delian looked at the girls gathered at the entrance and curiously asked.

”I heard it’s a place for fun.”

Mary had heard rumors about Amagi Brilliant Park, especially since many Hogwarts students were among the first ”beta testers”. They shared their photos and videos upon returning, which stirred quite a ruckus.

Mary and Delian, as mentors, also knew about the amusement park appearing at Heavenly Dao Palace. Originally, they planned to visit sometime, but Fang Zheng unexpectedly sent invitations directly, which naturally couldn’t be wasted.

”It feels somewhat like a Magitech Expo.”

Looking through the iron fence at the attractions inside, Mary guessed. From the outside, it looked similar to the Magitech Expo in the Magitech Nation, albeit not intended for play.

”Boom Boom Boom!!”

Just as the mages whispered to each other, the amusement park burst into business accompanied by the sound of fireworks.

”This is so dull.”

Watching the fireworks explode in the sky, Delian pouted.

”Why not hire some illusionists? It would definitely be more beautiful than this...”

Of course, despite the complaints, since the park opened, they entered and curiously began their amusement park adventure.

Although the Main World doesn’t have places like amusement parks, most of these mages come from nobility or wealthy backgrounds, so most attractions were familiar, if not already seen by them. Therefore, they weren’t as excited as those young girls.

Of course, the outdoor swimming pool did surprise them, but their good upbringing made the young mage girls somewhat resistant to being seen in swimsuits in public. Besides Delian wanting to try it, all other young girls refused.

Besides this, the croquettes in the amusement park received unanimous praise from the girls—this was the second-highest satisfaction after Yukiko’s Ghost House.

As for Yukiko’s Ghost House, the girls lingered outside for quite a while, ultimately deciding not to go in. As the saying goes, ”A gentleman does not stand under a dangerous wall.” Even just standing at the entrance, they could feel the chilling aura from within. If it weren’t for the prior explanation from the staff, the girls might have thought a Lich was hiding in this area.

However, anything related to the Undead is something the mages are quite cautious about. If Colette, the Chief of the Necromancy Department, were here, the girls might not mind going in, but since Colette wasn’t, they decided to give up in the end.

So, the girls strolled and wandered around, eventually noticing a group of little girls queuing in front of an amusement ride. Curious, a few of the young female mages joined the line.

”Ah, hello, mentors.”

The little girl at the end of the line was from Hogwarts Academy. Seeing her teachers, she quickly and obediently greeted everyone.

”Hello there.”

Mary waved at her and curiously asked.

”What is this?”

”A roller coaster!”

”A roller coaster?”

”Yeah... I heard it’s a lot of fun. Would you mentors like to try it? It’s quite thrilling.”

”I see...”

Faced with their student’s suggestion, the girls exchanged glances and nodded. After all, they’d seen most of the park’s attractions by now. The Ghost House was too dangerous, the outdoor pool was too revealing, and other entertainments suited for kids felt a bit childish for Mary and Delian and the others.

At least for this attraction, there weren’t too many people in line, so it wouldn’t hurt to go in and check it out.

With this thought in mind, they queued and entered the amusement facility.

Upon entering and seeing the ride, the girls’ expressions changed.

When designing it, Fang Zheng deliberately added a mystery twist; the whole roller coaster exterior was designed like a station, with a flamboyant ”Super Roller Coaster” sign on top. While this sign was meant to inform people about the attraction, it was mainly to hide the roller coaster tracks behind it.

Thus, it wasn’t until they entered the station to board the ride that the young mages finally saw what kind of ride they were about to get on.

Their expressions changed immediately.

”Wait, we’re going to ride this?”

Seeing this, Mary was the first to lose her composure.

In the Main World, although there were no roller coasters, there were mine carts in the mines, so the mages understood the basic principle. However, when they looked along the tracks, they all gasped in unison.

How high exactly is this track?

This roller coaster won’t fall halfway up, will it?

”Please rest assured that the roller coaster is a very safe amusement facility. We would never gamble with our guests’ lives,”

hearing this, the nearby staff member explained with a smile.

Even with the staff’s reassurance, the mages were still visibly terrified.

In truth, if it were a flying vehicle, they wouldn’t be as scared. Having spent much time in the Heavenly Dao Palace, the girls understood some principles of anti-gravity engines or flying devices. If it were such a device, any maneuvers and tracks would seem reasonable.

But the roller coaster’s track was fixed! They could even see the track looping three consecutive 180-degree circles!! This meant the roller coaster was definitely going to follow that track! If it actually fell, it wouldn’t just be a minor injury!!

”This...”

”How about we...”

Seeing this, Mary and Annie were a bit hesitant, only Delian looked eager to try it out.

”Come on, let’s go. This is Lord Fang Zheng’s amusement park; he wouldn’t harm us, right? Plus, look, those kids are already seated.”

Indeed, while the others hesitated, the Cursed Children had already run happily to the roller coaster and sat down obediently. Witnessing this, the mages exchanged glances and sighed.

”Alright, let’s get on.”

After all, they were kind-hearted girls. Seeing the kids seated, it didn’t feel right to back out. Besides, if anything were to happen to this so-called roller coaster, they could use their magic to protect others.

Although thinking this, as they sat in the roller coaster, their uneasiness grew.

Because the only thing securing them was a single shoulder bar!

How effective is this?

At this moment, the roller coaster began to move slowly. While some were nervous, they instinctively grasped the bar tightly, eyes fixed ahead.

The roller coaster was ascending slowly, not too fast, but the further they rose, the higher they got. Of course, the girls were not afraid of heights. Yet, even with that, they were incredibly tense. Especially Mary, feeling like she was advancing towards a guillotine, her heart pounding wildly.

”I, I suddenly want to get off...”

As the roller coaster neared the top, Annie beside her spoke uncomfortably. This feeling of life not in her control was awful. What’s worse, the danger was right in front of them!

She felt like a Giant Dragon had grabbed her, stuffing her in its mouth, unable to escape or struggle!

At that moment, the roller coaster reached the top.

”...Gulp.”

Looking at the nearly vertical downward slope ahead, Mary instinctively swallowed. She was sure they would die from this fall!

Next moment, as if confirming Mary’s fears, the roller coaster thundered down with a roar, diving toward the ground at an incomparable speed!

”Ahhh———!!”

Finally, Mary couldn’t hold back and screamed.
