Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1414: Chapter 1413: You Set Me Up!! (It’s Just Way Too Hot...)

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng frowned.

”Practice partner? What exactly are you planning to do?”

”It’s just... just...”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Free World lowered her head a bit shyly, fiddling with her fingers.

”It’s just... a date... I’m planning to go on a date with that boy, and then confess to him at the end... so... I want Haruno to help me practice once...”

”Hmm...”

As for Free World’s request, Fang Zheng, of course, refused.

Are you kidding? It’s not like he hasn’t seen similar animations; generally speaking, such endings don’t turn out well. So, Fang Zheng took a sip of coffee and started to speak.

”I...”

”Clack.”

However, before Fang Zheng could finish his sentence, suddenly, a die fell from the sky and landed in front of him.

Then, three options appeared.

[I agree]

[I’m willing]

[I’m very willing]

”...”

What the hell!

Looking at the options before him, Fang Zheng almost flipped the table.

Are you freaking kidding me? Do you call these options? These three options are obviously the same!

System, you’re messing with me!

Fang Zheng didn’t expect this crappy system to dig him a hole here. Great, now it doesn’t matter which choice he picks... but wait!

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng’s eyes suddenly lit up.

Hey, you may have your tricks, but I have my ways. Do you really think I’m scared of you? You want to toy with me, but does this lousy system really think it can beat me? Let me show you what I’m made of!

”Um... Haruno?”

Seeing that Fang Zheng remained silent, Free World became somewhat uneasy. She quietly peeked at Fang Zheng and then softly asked.

”Alright.”

Hearing Free World’s question, Fang Zheng nodded, and his response made Free World open her eyes wide in surprise.

”Eh? Really... is it really okay?”

”Of course, coincidentally, I’m planning to check out some other groups’ LIVE performances tomorrow as a reference. How about you come with me? This can count as a date, right?”

”This... sure, no problem!!”

Free World certainly didn’t know what Fang Zheng was thinking. Hearing him speak, she was elated and nodded happily. Fang Zheng also smiled slightly, curling his lips.

Hehe, system, oh system, you think you’ve cornered me? What a joke, although it’s a date practice, it’s not like it has to succeed, right? As long as the date fails, isn’t that the end of it?

Hahaha, I’m simply too clever!!

With a plan in mind, Fang Zheng calmed down. Anyway, there were no visible numbers above Free World’s head, which means her favorability is definitely below eighty, so it doesn’t matter what he does. At that time, he simply needs to do something random to lower Free World’s favorability, and the problem is solved. It’s that simple.

”Then it’s decided.”

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng stood up.

”Tomorrow morning at 9, at the GALAXY entrance, okay?”

”Ah, okay... no problem!”

Free World was very happy with Fang Zheng’s straightforward agreement. She was a bit worried initially but didn’t expect Fang Zheng to agree so easily! This made Free World excited as she quickly finalized the time and went home joyfully.

Afterward, Fang Zheng also returned home, called Sora out, and explained the situation to her — Fang Zheng didn’t plan to hide it from Sora, because in such matters, the more you hide, the more likely things are to go wrong, so it’s better to lay it all out clearly.

”So... are you planning to go on a date with Saiin-ji tomorrow?”

Frowning, Sora asked after listening to Fang Zheng, who nodded in response.

”Yeah, it seems that’s the only way now.”

”Then how do you plan to make Saiin-ji give up?”

”Just need to lower her favorability.”

Fang Zheng naturally had a plan for this.

”Look, we’re going to watch a LIVE tomorrow, and those are all female bands, right? If I just act like a playboy and flirt with some girls while on a date with Saiin-ji, won’t that be enough? Generally, men who flirt with girls while on a date with their girlfriend are sure to lose favorability, right?”

”Hmm... Well, you could say that...”

Sora’s expression was a bit complicated upon hearing Fang Zheng’s plan. After all, as Fang Zheng said, generally speaking, if a man goes on a date with a girl and starts flirting with other girls, he’s definitely OUT.

But...

”Bro, aren’t you afraid of shooting yourself in the foot and flirting with even more girls?”

Sora knew how charming Fang Zheng was. To be honest, she wasn’t very familiar with those band girls either, but in Sora’s view, if Fang Zheng wanted to, he could probably get them to follow him to a hotel with just a beckoning finger.

”No worries, they’re all good kids. All I need to do is act a tad bit sleazy, like taking them to a hotel street or something, and they’ll probably turn tail and run. Besides, we’ve dealt with them before, and most of them don’t seem to have the mood for romance, or I could just find a few who are only interested in music, like Touma...”

”...”

Hearing this, Sora silently sighed.

”Like Touma? Bro? Are you sure?”

”Uh... Is there a problem?”

”No... Nothing.”

Saying that, Sora shook her head and then looked at Fang Zheng.

”But bro, why don’t you just go with Saiin-ji?”

”You mean actually getting her? Why?”

”Because, bro, don’t you already have so many girlfriends? Then in this world, having a few more wouldn’t be an issue, right?”

”That’s true, but the situation is different.”

Fang Zheng waved his hand.

”Let’s not talk about those who aren’t human; their values are different from ordinary people, so it is what it is. Asuna, Black Cat, and Eiriri’s situations were different back then.”

”Different...?”

”Yes, at that time we were trapped in a ’people get killed and they die’ Death Game, facing the threat of death every day. The girls wanted something to rely on under such circumstances, so they agreed to share. If it weren’t for that game, in the real world, I doubt they would have reached that point. So, their willingness to be my girlfriends was quite accidental.”

Fang Zheng was fully aware of this. Black Cat, Asuna, and Eiriri’s willingness to be his girlfriends was an unusual event. Eiriri was because of heartbreak, Black Cat had a chuunibyou mindset, so their values were different and could accept a ”harem” situation. Asuna was added later and didn’t want to compete, so she accepted it.

However, others clearly weren’t like that. Take Leafa for instance, she preferred to keep a sibling-lover relationship with Fang Zheng rather than being an actual girlfriend, which says it all.

”If that’s the case...”

Hearing this, Sora’s eyes lit up, and she lifted Yukiko beside her.

”Why not just have Yukiko create another Tenjin Elementary and lock them in again?”

”Enough of your nonsense...”

Facing Sora’s awful idea, Fang Zheng helplessly rolled his eyes, wondering what kind of plan that even was.

”Moreover, unlike you, they all have families and friends in this world. Taking you away is fine, but taking them away might mean they can’t come back. Do you think they’d be willing to accept that?”

Fang Zheng hadn’t opened the main quests for ’Rebirth as the Great Musician,’ ’Rebirth as the Pop King,’ and ’Rebirth as the Entertainment King of Japan,’ therefore hadn’t established his powerbase, meaning this world couldn’t turn into the Free World. This meant once Fang Zheng left, it would be impossible to return.

That’s another reason Fang Zheng easily accepted Sora and kept others at a distance. After all, Sora was his sister, and in this world, their parents were deceased, with car, house, and no attachments. But if he brought others in, that would be another matter.

”And if it doesn’t work, I have a trump card.”

”Trump card?”

”Yes, if the world really shows an intention, then I...”

While speaking, Fang Zheng gestured for Sora to come closer, and whispered to her. Hearing it, Sora’s eyes widened in surprise.

”Are you really going to do that, bro?”

”Last resort, if it doesn’t work, it’s the only option. I’ll only be able to rely on you then... Okay?”

”I won’t oppose... Actually, I’m quite happy... but if it spreads...”

”If it spreads, we’ll just leave.”

Fang Zheng had already thought it through.

”By then, we can have an impromptu trip. What’s the point of staying in this tiny place called Japan? Let me tell you, I’ve traveled globally in another world. We can visit Germany’s Rhine River and Heidelberg, France’s Alps, check out the Sahara Desert in the Middle East, go diving in Tahiti...but let’s skip India, it’s not safe...or we could explore those deserted areas, you, me, and Yukiko for some wilderness adventure survival, isn’t that fun? Maybe we’d find hidden cities or ruins like in those knights movies and unearth treasures... with our skills and physical quality, that’s no problem.”

”Sounds really fun...”

Hearing this, Sora’s eyes sparkled.

”Sounds fun, it’s decided!”

”It’s a deal.”

Fang Zheng patted Sora’s little head.

”So, tomorrow, we’ll implement the plan!”
