Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

’Clatter.’

The Golden Chains did not seem to be something condensed from Chakra, but rather something that truly existed.

Accompanied by a light clinking sound, more than a dozen people in the darkness were dragged over by Seiryū.

Watching this scene, Tsunade’s eyes flashed, and she said, ”It is indeed somewhat unusual. Kushina’s Adamantine Sealing Chains are not as flexible and varied as yours.”

With just one glance, she determined that Seiryū’s Adamantine Sealing Chains were indeed different from Kushina’s. They were more flexible and versatile.

Tsunade touched her chin and began to critique, ”And they possess stronger attack power, not limited to just the effects of sealing and restraint.”

The primary function of Adamantine Sealing Chains was sealing and restraint. Their direct lethality was actually average. Yet Seiryū’s Adamantine Sealing Chains seemed to possess impressive attack power.

”Good eye,” Seiryū praised Tsunade. He smiled and said, ”This technique possesses both the offensive lethality of Hadō and the restraint and defense of Bakudō. I call it Fullbring!”

Hadō focused on offense and lethality, while Bakudō focused on defense and restraint. After his modification, this technique was distinct from both Hadō and Bakudō. No matter what he named it, it did not feel right. So he decided to follow the system’s judgment and call it Fullbring.

The three Kidō techniques, Hadō, Bakudō, and Kaidō, were at least linked to Ninjutsu, Sealing Jutsu, and Medical Ninjutsu. What the hell was this Fullbring?

”Fullbring, does this name have any meaning?”

”None, I just picked it randomly. How about Fullbring: Heaven’s Chain? Anyway, it was developed by me, a brand-new form of technique developed by combining Adamantine Sealing Chains and Bakudō #63: Sajō Sabaku. The naming rights belong to me!”

”Fine, whatever makes you happy.”

”Hmm? Judging by your tone, why do you seem a bit unwilling?”

Too lazy to humor Seiryū, Tsunade crossed her arms and watched the dozen people being dragged over.

As they got closer, the firelight illuminated them, and Tsunade discovered that they were covered in dense, ink-colored sealing formulas.

Stunned for a moment, she turned to look at Seiryū and exclaimed in surprise, ”Is this the Four Symbols Seal? You left a Four Symbols Seal on top of the Adamantine Sealing Chains?”

When did this kid cast the Four Symbols Seal? Could it be that the modified Adamantine Sealing Chains had other uses? Could he leave another Four Symbols Seal on the Adamantine Sealing Chains, so that after the chains hit, the Four Symbols Seal would instantly activate? Stacking Sealing Jutsu?

”It’s Fullbring: Heaven’s Chain!” Seiryū corrected her. He then explained, ”I didn’t set the Four Symbols Seal in advance. I only cast the Four Symbols Seal after the Golden Chains attacked them.”

”You cast the Four Symbols Seal afterward?” Tsunade was taken aback, then realized, ”You can even control the Adamantine Sealing Chains to cast Sealing Jutsu?”

Seiryū put on a serious face. ”I’ll correct you again, it’s Fullbring: Heaven’s Chain, not Adamantine Sealing Chains!”

”Fundamentally, they are already two different techniques!”

”Adamantine Sealing Chains naturally cannot cast other techniques, but Fullbring: Heaven’s Chain can.”

While speaking, Seiryū focused his mind.

’Hummm.’

At the tip of another golden chain, as Chakra condensed and rotated, a glowing Rasengan suddenly appeared.

Tsunade looked at the Rasengan spinning at high speed at the tip of the chain and could not help but mutter, ”This kind of thing is too unreasonable.”

Unreasonable.

Adamantine Sealing Chains were originally condensed from Chakra, materialized Chakra. Casting one technique to cast another? This was very unreasonable.

”On a genius like me, anything unreasonable is reasonable.” Seiryū was very satisfied with Tsunade’s expression. He put on a ”don’t make a fuss” expression. ”Isn’t the First Hokage-sama’s Wood Release also unreasonable? In the entire Senju Clan, only he awakened Wood Release.”

”My Fullbring: Heaven’s Chain was also only awakened by me in the Uzumaki Clan. If you think about it that way, you won’t feel like it’s anything special.”

Tsunade: ”...”

To be fair, there were too many unreasonable things about this kid. Just the techniques he developed that only he could cast were already quite unusual. With one more, there was no need to be too surprised.

Tsunade waved her hand. ”I don’t want to hear you bragging. Let’s first ask their intentions. If they are bandits, then kill them.”

”Fine.”

Seiryū focused his mind. The Golden Chains dragged over a middle-aged man with the strongest Chakra fluctuations. He undid the Four Symbols Seal on him and asked, ”Are you a bandit?”

”No, no, two adults, we are not bandits, we are just.”

”Liar!”

Seiryū interrupted him, and the Golden Chains tightened instantly. With a ’poof’ sound, the man was directly strangled to death.

He dragged over another person, and Seiryū asked, ”Are you a bandit?”

”No, sir.”

”Lying again.”

”Are you a bandit?”

”Yes, we are bandits.”

”Damned bandits, die!”

Seiryū snorted coldly. The Golden Chains strangled this person as well.

”...”

The remaining survivors saw this scene, and the despair and terror in their eyes needed no description.

Die if they were, die if they were not.

How were they supposed to answer?

They could not even beg for mercy, as their movements were restricted by the seal.

”Not talking? As expected, you are bandits, feeling guilty? Good people don’t act like bandits, and you wanted to attack the caravan escorted by us Konoha shinobi? Tired of living!”

Seiryū shook his head and sighed. He lamented the coldness of the world, that there were so many bandits.

He dragged over another person, looking very serious. ”You have no way out. If you want a quick death, answer my questions honestly.”

”I’ll state this beforehand. I am also a Medical Ninja. I know how to make people die in pain. I assume you don’t want to suffer before you die, right?”

Dying was certain. But Seiryū wanted to ask about their origins.

The man’s voice trembled, and when he looked at Seiryū, it was like looking at a devil. ”I, I’ll talk. Please make it quick later.”

”Fine.”

Through the bandit’s account, Seiryū learned of their origins.

They were shinobi from a nation called the Land of Flowers, the Flower Village. After their homeland was destroyed by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist from Kiri, they fled here. They survived by plundering passing caravans and travelers. This was their second operation, and they did not expect to run into the disaster that was Seiryū.

After casually strangling all the bandits.

Seiryū added some firewood to the campfire and sighed, ”Kiri is truly sinful, to actually do something like destroying a nation.”

Tsunade was not very surprised by this and said indifferently, ”Kiri already has the title of the Bloody Mist Village. Kiri shinobi are most adept at slaughter, and they even take pleasure in killing.”

”Plus, due to their geographical factors, surrounded by the sea on all sides, the nation’s resources are not abundant, so plundering resources from some countries happens often.”

”This is not the first time a small nation has been destroyed at their hands.”

The biggest factor in the outbreak of war was not mutual hatred. That was only one of the triggers.

The biggest reason was resources.

Seiryū let out a breath. ”If that were the case, it would be one thing. Plundering resources is not necessarily to enrich oneself, but it could also be to prepare for war.”

Would the Third Shinobi World War arrive?

It certainly would.

Konoha was preparing, and the other Ninja Villages were definitely making preparations to deal with war as well.

It would not stop because of a joint Chunin Exams for the Five Great Ninja Villages.

Now, all that was missing was the right timing.

In the original story, it was very likely that the Third Kazekage was assassinated by Sasori, leaving Suna without a leader, which let the other Ninja Villages see an opportunity.

Even if Sasori did not choose to assassinate the Third Kazekage now, there would inevitably be other triggers for the other Ninja Villages to take action and start a war.

”Perhaps. As the situation becomes increasingly tense, war will happen sooner or later. This is already an inevitable trend.”

Tsunade already had a firm attitude regarding the arrival of war.

Before, she still thought war would not break out so quickly.

However, as the situation in the Ninja World became increasingly tense, especially after the Chunin Exams, anyone who paid even a little attention would find that the atmosphere in the Ninja World was becoming increasingly strange.

This was the calm before the storm.

She paused, as if realizing something, and looked at Seiryū. ”The reason you are training so hard, could it be that you have already foreseen that war might break out?”

Before, she also felt that Seiryū’s desire to become stronger was a bit intense.

Because injuries would delay training, he even developed a type of Medical Ninjutsu to shorten the time of injury.

Now that she thought about it.

Could this kid have already deduced that war might break out from some clues?

”The Ninja Academy changing from a six-year system to a three-year system is unusual in itself, and if you think about it carefully, you can guess the general reason.”

Seiryū looked at the campfire and said calmly, ”War might not come so quickly, but it is only a matter of time.”

”In the early stages of the war, we newly graduated Genin might not yet be involved in the most dangerous front lines, but as casualties increase and combat power is reduced.”

”Children of a few years old, or teenagers, as long as they are Ninja, they will inevitably be dispatched to the front lines.”

”If I don’t want to die, I can only train hard like this. Only by becoming stronger will I have the ability to protect you, protect Kurenai, and protect my family and friends.”

Seiryū never forgot the pressure of the Third Shinobi World War.

Apart from the times he was injured, he was not idle at other times. He almost unwaveringly carried out exercise and training.

Having today’s strength, talent was one thing, but his efforts could not be ignored.

”...”

Tsunade stared blankly at Seiryū.

It was as if she were meeting Seiryū for the first time.

This kid, who was usually a bit unreliable, who would have thought that he was hiding such things in his heart?

To protect her, to protect Kurenai, to protect his family and friends.

That was why he trained so hard.

As far as she knew, Seiryū’s diligence was not just for a year or two, but had started when he decided to become a Ninja and entered the Ninja Academy.

Was his goal just to protect his family and friends?

This kid was really, cute and reliable!

At such a young age, he had maturity beyond his peers. Perhaps it was because of his past experiences.

Seiryū did not want to see his family and friends die in front of him again while he was powerless to do anything, right?

Thinking of this, Tsunade inexplicably felt some heartache, heartache for Seiryū.

Driven by emotion, Tsunade pulled Seiryū into her arms. She whispered in his ear, ”It’s not your turn to protect me, kid. It should be me protecting you. I am the Princess of Konoha, Princess Tsunade, and my disciple naturally needs my protection!”

Whether it was war or anything else, she would absolutely not let anything happen to Seiryū!

Absolutely!

The sudden attack caught Seiryū off guard, and then, because he was held too tightly by Tsunade, he was unable to breathe.

How uncomfortable the feeling of oxygen deprivation was, people who often drowned would know.

He suddenly pushed Tsunade away, breaking free from that magnificent place.

Seiryū took a deep breath of the slightly fragrant air and could not help but curse, ”Didn’t I say not to launch sneak attacks? I was almost suffocated to death by you. Are you trying to murder me?”

”Yo? You’re actually blushing?”

”Nonsense, I was almost suffocated by you. Can I not blush? A little longer and I would have turned purple!” Seiryū gritted his teeth.

She had just happened to block his nose while he was exhaling, almost suffocating him.

”What are you suddenly freaking out about?”

”I just felt heartache for you. What? Can’t I, as your Sensei, feel heartache for you?”

Seiryū felt a toothache. ”That’s why I’m asking what you’re suddenly freaking out about. Why are you inexplicably feeling heartache for me? What did I do to make you feel heartache?”

”A reward for you. Although your statement about protecting me was a bit reversed, I’m still very happy.”

Tsunade reached out and rubbed Seiryū’s head. The more she looked at Seiryū, the better he looked, and the more she liked him. She smiled and said, ”Don’t you like it? Or is it... you don’t like this kind of reward of being hugged by me?”

She swung her right foot, which was wearing a sandal, and noticed Seiryū’s gaze shifting downward imperceptibly.

Tsunade laughed inwardly and teased, ”Next time, we can change to something else!”

This kid had a very unique hobby. She did not understand it, but she respected it.

It was indeed a reward for Seiryū.

But Seiryū’s massage technique was quite good. If one really calculated it, she was not losing out.

”?”

A question mark floated above Seiryū’s head, and his gaze shifted away from the fair, flawless jade feet imperceptibly.

He could not help but marvel in his heart that the maintenance effect of the Strength of a Hundred Seal was truly amazing.

Confused about what Tsunade meant by this sentence, he frowned slightly. ”And you say you aren’t freaking out, always saying things I don’t understand. I think you’re the one who’s sick!”

Tsunade continued to swing her right foot, smiling meaningfully. ”Tsk tsk tsk.”

She did not expose Seiryū’s unique hobby.

She could use this to tease him later and find some fun.

Seiryū: ”...”

What was wrong with this bad woman today?

Why did she feel so strange?

At this time.

Somewhere underground in the Ninja World.

Tobi’s body emerged from the ground and respectfully reported to Uchiha Madara, who was sitting on a seat, ”Lord Madara, Seiryū of the Uzumaki Clan, whom you ordered to be watched, has left Konoha.”

”According to my investigation, their mission location is the Land of Grass.”

”Land of Grass?”

The withered and aged Madara raised his head slightly.

Long bangs covered one eye, and the other exposed eye was shockingly a Mangekyō Sharingan with three patterns forming a diagonal triangle.

”A coincidence?”

Madara’s eyes flashed, and he muttered slightly to himself.

But he did not pay much attention to it.

He then looked at Tobi and asked, ”How is the investigation into the Box of Ultimate Bliss progressing?”

Tobi replied, ”According to the ancient records of Kusagakure, the Box of Ultimate Bliss is related to the myth of the Sage of Six Paths. It is a legendary Ninja tool, said to be able to fulfill the wishes of the person who opens it.”
