Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Because of the isolation of the Four Violet Flames Formation, the people outside could not sense the chakra fluctuations leaking from Seiryū’s body.

But just looking at the changes happening to Seiryū’s body was already enough to make people shudder, and it was even more shocking.

Especially those who understood tailed beasts knew what this meant.

At a relatively safe spot in the stands, Kurenai’s eyes were red, and the worry on her face was so obvious. ”Father, Seiryū won’t be all right, will he?”

Rin was also extremely nervous. ”Seiryū.”

Shinku looked over there, worry also on his face.

But he did not show it and comforted Kurenai. ”Don’t worry, Tsunade-sama won’t let anything happen to Seiryū!”

There were not many people who knew about the dragon vein.

Kurenai and Shinku were both unaware of it.

They were worried about the changes happening to Seiryū’s body, not knowing exactly what was going on.

It was only natural for them to worry.

Beside them, Kushina took a deep breath and murmured, ”So this is the dragon vein chakra Minato mentioned? It really does resemble a tailed beast.”

Because she was curious about the Yin Seal on Seiryū’s forehead, she had pressed Namikaze Minato about it.

From Minato, she had learned some of the situation.

She knew that sealed within Seiryū’s Yin Seal was dragon vein chakra similar to a tailed beast!

Kushina said calmly to the people present, ”With Tsunade-sama here, little Seiryū won’t be in trouble. There may be some reason here that we don’t know about.”

Since Tsunade-sama had not stopped Seiryū’s actions, the situation should still be under control.

Perhaps Tsunade-sama had other thoughts?

They could only think of it that way!

In another place.

Ryōta looked over there, already fallen into a daze. ”Brother is dead. He died at Seiryū’s hands, and Grandpa too.”

”What exactly is going on? Am I trapped in a genjutsu?”

His brother had been killed!

Killed by Seiryū, the person he wanted to surpass!

And.

Even the grandfather who was incomparably powerful in his eyes could not pose too great a threat to Seiryū, and had even been injured by him.

He wondered if he had fallen into a genjutsu.

But this clearly was not genjutsu.

All of this was really happening!!

Under the stimulation of emotions like doubt, anger, unwillingness, and confusion, the two-tomoe Sharingan in Ryōta’s eyes spun rapidly.

In the end, amid that rapid spinning, another tomoe appeared, and the three-tomoe Sharingan in his eyes slowly rotated.

In the rest area.

The sudden change had come too quickly, making all the examinees look at each other in confusion.

They simply could not understand why something like this had happened.

Shimaichirō narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze falling on the situation inside the Four Violet Flames Formation.

He murmured solemnly to himself, ”Is that a tailed beast? Is this guy actually a Jinchūriki too? He actually had this kind of trump card. This level of strength is too exaggerated.”

As the young clan head of the Kaguya clan, he had a fair understanding of tailed beasts.

Tailed beasts were ”weapons” that a ninja village regarded as enough to change the course of a war.

A rampaging Jinchūriki or tailed beast was enough to cause fatal damage to a ninja village.

He had not expected it either.

Seiryū, known as Konoha’s strongest genius, was actually also a Jinchūriki.

This level of strength was too exaggerated!

Beside him, Mei had already gone pale with shock. ”He’s simply a monster!!”

Monster.

That was Mei’s evaluation of Seiryū in her heart.

Even that ”Takigakure ninja” who attacked them in the Forest of Death did not seem as dangerous as Seiryū was now.

On the other side, Sasori also frowned. ”No, Konoha’s Jinchūriki is Uzumaki Kushina. How could there be another tailed beast!?”

Konoha’s Jinchūriki was not a secret in the eyes of some people.

Ever since Uzumaki Mito died, the Nine-Tails’ Jinchūriki had become Kushina.

How could Konoha still have another tailed beast, another Jinchūriki?

Never mind the ninja from other villages.

Even Kakashi and Duy, who were very familiar with Seiryū, were puzzled at this moment.

Kakashi looked at Seiryū in the arena, roaring up at the sky with a dark red chakra cloak covering his body, looking as if he had turned into a dragon-man, and could not help saying in shock, ”Seiryū is actually also a Jinchūriki?”

”I’m not sure either.”

Duy’s expression was serious, filled with worry. ”And Seiryū has also opened the Fifth Gate of the Eight Gates, the Gate of Limit.”

Then he said gravely, ”I noticed just now that Seiryū’s muscles have already torn. He clearly can’t withstand this burden. If this continues, it will be dangerous!”

”Why isn’t Tsunade-sama stepping in to stop it? That Uchiha should be connected to Ryōsuke. They had some kind of conversation earlier, and then Seiryū suddenly attacked that man.”

”I don’t know. Right now, there is nothing we can do. We can only wait.”

Both of them were puzzled.

Because of the distance, they could not hear the conversation over there.

They had only seen Ryōsuke being killed, then that old man from the Uchiha clan entering the arena, and after that, Seiryū directly attacked him.

In the stands.

Hiruzen also furrowed his brow, confusion on his face as well.

He murmured, ”What exactly is Tsunade doing? Why isn’t she stopping them? Does she not know what kind of situation this is?”

He felt confused in his heart.

He did not understand what Tsunade was thinking.

The daimyō of the Land of Fire did not understand the situation and turned his head to ask, ”Hiruzen, is this some other part of the event? It is much more exciting than the earlier battle.”

Hiruzen: ”....”

After a pause, he said quietly, ”Well, you could say that. The current situation in the ninja world is not stable, and the other ninja villages came prepared for this Chunin Exam. This move is to deter the other ninja villages.”

He could not possibly say that he also did not understand the situation, right?

He could only find a relatively reasonable excuse and gloss over it.

He could not slight the daimyō.

This was Konoha’s source of funds. Their development still required his support.

”I see.”

The daimyō shook his fan and nodded. ”That is fine as well. I also do not want war to break out.”

Their conversation was not heard by the representatives of the other ninja villages.

They had no attention to spare for anything else either.

Their gazes had been fixed on Seiryū in his ”semi-tailed beast transformation.”

They pondered silently in their hearts.

They felt that this was Konoha displaying its foundation to them.

Another tailed beast, another Jinchūriki.

The meaning of this was too significant!

And this Jinchūriki, despite his young age, already had such strength, able to fight a three-tomoe Uchiha to this extent!

What this meant could be judged with just a little thought.

This move could not possibly be an accident.

It looked more like something deliberately shown to them.

The purpose was to intimidate them!

The other ninja villages had come prepared in order to test Konoha’s foundation.

And Konoha had shown its foundation without the slightest concern.

This was a kind of confidence!

Their vigilance toward Konoha grew stronger and stronger.
