In the arena.

”So it’s the Four Violet Flames Formation?”

Looking at the purple light barrier separating the arena from the stands, Seiryū clicked his tongue. ”That bad woman Tsunade still reacted pretty fast.”

What had just happened.

Was actually beyond Seiryū’s expectations too.

He had not expected Tenran, to absorb the other side’s fire.

Fortunately, Tsunade, acting as the referee, had reacted quickly and stepped in to block it, so there were no casualties.

Now that there was the Four Violet Flames Formation barrier, Seiryū could finally fight without holding back.

His gaze turned toward him ahead, and Seiryū grinned, his smile somewhat bold. ”Let’s continue, the warm-up is over!”

”But if this is all you’ve got, then your ending is already decided. Since you’ve shown killing intent toward me, then the only thing left is to send you to your death.”

”Eight Gates, Fourth Gate, Gate of Pain, open!”

The warm-up was over, it was time to get serious!

Maybe it was because he had once opened the Fourth Gate, Gate of Pain, while in a berserk state before, or maybe because being injured and then healing had improved his physical condition.

Now, Seiryū’s body had already adapted to the burden of the Fourth Gate, Gate of Pain.

Although there would still be side effects.

But, well, Seiryū had Kaidō.

These minor side effects like muscle tearing and soreness could practically be ignored.

It was nothing more than a single Kaidō.

Buzz buzz buzz.

A tangible torrent of chakra burst out visibly to the naked eye, and a sweeping wave of air actually stirred around Seiryū’s body.

Crack!

The ground beneath his feet caved in from the erupting chakra, and pale green chakra energy began to flicker lightly around Seiryū’s body.

The chakra fluctuations spilling from him rose sharply at that moment!

”Hm? What kind of technique is this!?”

More than ten meters away, seeing the changes in Seiryū, the three-tomoe Sharingan in his eyes spun rapidly, and a grave expression appeared in his eyes as well.

Seiryū now gave off a far stronger feeling than before!

He actually had a technique like this, one that could instantly increase his strength!?

”The Eight Gates, it’s a kind of taijutsu.”

Seiryū rolled his neck and felt the power inside his body, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. ”Of course, it’s not just taijutsu either.”

At this moment, the Fourth Gate, Gate of Pain, that Seiryū had opened was different from Duy’s, Guy’s, and Rock Lee’s.

At least in appearance, it was different.

The Eight Gates released the body’s restraints over the chakra pathways, removing the body’s limits on chakra in order to unleash power beyond one’s normal limits.

In essence, it was a technique that explosively raised combat strength.

And since it was a technique, there was naturally such a thing as proficiency.

And proficiency meant precise control and distribution of chakra.

When it came to chakra control, Seiryū had an innate talent.

He could control this power, or rather chakra, released by the Eight Gates rather perfectly.

As for Duy, Guy, and Lee, they were not skilled in ninjutsu, which was why they specialized in taijutsu, so there was some difference between them and Seiryū.

Don’t forget.

Seiryū had also gained a Fighting Talent Enhancement, and his control over his own body was beyond ordinary understanding.

With all those factors combined.

Seiryū’s Eight Gates was also the rather special kind.

There was almost no change in outward appearance, only the pale green chakra surging over the surface of his body.

Without any intention of wasting words, Seiryū slammed one foot into the ground, and the ground split apart at that moment.

Borrowing the reaction force, his figure shot out like a streak of light.

He charged straight at him at a speed the naked eye could barely distinguish, so fast that a sharp tearing sound split the air!

”So fast!”

His pupils widened, and in an instant, he lost track of Seiryū.

Fortunately, the dynamic vision of the three-tomoe Sharingan was incredibly powerful.

The three tomoe spun in his eyes, focusing and locking on.

Seiryū’s speed seemed to slow down at that moment, allowing him to catch it!

”Earth Release: Earth Spear Spike!”

In almost the same instant, he formed hand seals and pressed a hand to the ground.

Whoosh! Thrust! Thrust!

Sharp earthen spikes pierced out of the ground one after another, trying to skewer the soles of Seiryū’s feet!

But it was useless.

Seiryū was too fast!

He had already dodged by the time the earth spikes were about to hit him.

Even earth spikes that predicted his movement in advance were instantly noticed by Seiryū, who then dodged them.

They could not threaten him at all!

Seiryū’s figure flickered several times, already impossible for normal eyes to follow.

His attack was fierce, and he smashed a punch down at him. That heavy, overwhelming blow split the ground apart on the spot.

Dense cracks spread out, and dust rose with them.

He dodged that punch in a sorry state, but he was still struck by the shattered stones wrapped in the force of the blow.

The place where he was hit immediately bruised purple, with blood seeping out, and a muffled groan came from his mouth.

Buzz buzz buzz.

Before he could relax, a shrill buzzing rang out by his ear, drawing closer and closer.

The three-tomoe Sharingan shifted toward it, and a Rasengan slightly larger than a basketball pressed in from the left, already right in front of him, too close to dodge!

”Damn it!!”

He gritted his teeth and let out a low shout, refusing to sit there and wait for death.

His movements were swift, his waist twisting as his body spun.

Gripping the short blade with both hands, he slashed in a strange posture, the blade cutting diagonally from right to left!

Whoosh!

At the same time, scorching flames burst to life around the short blade, wrapping around it as blazing heat radiated out at once.

This was kenjutsu learned from his grandfather, also a kind of technique that required no hand seals, altering chakra nature and wrapping it around the blade.

This was Uchiha-Style Sword Technique: Dance of Blazing Chaos!

And it was also a slash with no restraint!

Boom boom boom!!

The flaming short blade and the high-speed Large Rasengan crashed into each other.

In an instant, the impact shook and roared, the earth split apart, and a ring of force spread outward.

Boom boom boom!

The clash of even more powerful techniques seemed to fall into a stalemate, neither side yielding as they resisted one another, and roaring impacts rang out again and again.

Boom!

Finally, another thunderous roar sounded, and the two techniques released their final power at that moment!

The force burst outward and slammed into his body, making him feel as if struck by lightning. He coughed out a large mouthful of blood, and his whole body was blasted away.

As for Seiryū, he only took a few steps back before steadying himself. In that clash just now, he had held an absolute advantage.

”Heh, looks like I won.”

With a grin, Seiryū naturally would not let this chance slip by. With a boom, he charged out again, pursuing him as he flew backward.

On the way, he formed a one-handed seal.

Thrust thrust thrust!

Six beams of light appeared out of thin air.

Bakudō #61, Rikujōkōrō, bit into him while he was still being blown back.

Under the restraint of Rikujōkōrō, his body, still flying backward, was bizarrely fixed in midair, floating as if it had lost gravity.

(To be continued.)
