Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

The situation in the arena changed too quickly.

So quickly that many people in the stands fell into a brief daze.

At first, they had thought that once he was sealed, he had already lost the ability to resist.

The outcome was decided, Seiryū had won.

But halfway through his charge, Seiryū suddenly stopped moving.

The more experienced shinobi immediately judged that he had been caught by an Uchiha genjutsu.

In an instant, offense and defense reversed, and the situation flipped!

Many people thought he would take the final victory.

But only a few seconds later, the situation reversed once again. Full of confidence, he was beaten down by Seiryū.

Even his right leg was broken.

These repeated changes left everyone a bit unable to keep up.

But inwardly, they were all shouting that it was incredible!!

”This brat, he acted it pretty well. Even I was almost fooled.”

Just now, even Tsunade had grown somewhat grim, and she had almost stepped in to stop his next move.

Even if it meant breaking the rules.

She would never allow anything to happen to Seiryū.

But just before she was about to act, she saw the gesture Seiryū made with his right hand behind his back.

Only then did she realize that this brat had not been affected by the genjutsu at all.

And what happened after that proved it.

The situation reversed in an instant.

Careless and overconfident, he was subdued by Seiryū in a flash.

This brat really had acted well!!

”This is impossible!”

In the stands, Setsuna abruptly stood up, his eyes filled with disbelief and confusion.

How could a mere brat break the genjutsu he had left behind through the Transcription Seal?

To make absolutely sure, he had held nothing back.

A genjutsu cast with his full power should absolutely affect even a Jōnin!!

But...

Why!?

Setsuna stared fixedly downward, the three-tomoe Sharingan in his eyes slowly spinning as it locked onto the arena below.

His heart was still full of confusion.

”Hm? This dōjutsu power?”

At that moment, his keen senses seemed to discover something.

A flicker passed through Setsuna’s gaze. His dōjutsu power had increased!

Sure enough, emotions like unwillingness, humiliation, and rage could also increase dōjutsu power. It did not necessarily require those suppressed emotions to be completely vented.

Setsuna’s heart became excited.

Experiencing this unwillingness and humiliation again had not released those emotions, but had instead made them even more repressed. As long as he continued guiding him and used even deeper hatred as the driving force...

Sensing that his dōjutsu power had increased.

Setsuna felt that his hypothesis was correct.

This truly was the path to awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan!

This second bout of humiliation and unwillingness had caused his dōjutsu power to instantly grow by a huge margin.

He even vaguely felt that it was no weaker than his own!

As long as he was stimulated and guided a little more.

There was a very high chance that pair of eyes would awaken.

As for whether he would die here?

Die at the hands of that brat?

Setsuna did not believe that, because Seiryū did not have that kind of courage!

He was his grandson, the grandson of Uchiha Setsuna, the great elder of the Uchiha clan!!

”Nii-san! How could this be...”

Beside him, Ryōta’s expression changed even more dramatically.

Nervousness, excitement, blank shock, disbelief. In the span of just a dozen seconds, it changed several times.

Even his older brother had lost to Seiryū?

And had even suffered such heavy injuries!!

Under the repeated stimulation of his emotions, he had quietly awakened the two-tomoe Sharingan.

Under the gaze of that two-tomoe Sharingan.

He discovered that his older brother’s injuries, and the places where he had been injured before, were exactly the same!!

Could it be...

Were the injuries his brother suffered back then connected to Seiryū?

Was Seiryū the one who did it!?

Thinking of that, Ryōta’s face turned incomparably gloomy.

Without even realizing it, the two tomoe in his eyes began spinning faster.

In the arena.

”If you’ve got the guts, then kill me! Kill me right here in front of everyone!! Otherwise, one day I’ll definitely kill you, and kill everyone connected to you!!”

His hoarse, furious voice continued, his resentful gaze fixed on Seiryū.

Under the violent fluctuation of his emotions.

The three tomoe in his eyes began spinning wildly.

For a brief instant, the black tomoe even seemed to connect into one.

”Hehehe, I know it! You don’t dare! I’m an Uchiha, I’m the grandson of the Uchiha great elder!”

”If you kill me, even if you’re the disciple of the Sannin and one of the Hokage faction’s shinobi, you’ll absolutely have to pay the price!!!”

”If you kill me, the Uchiha clan will never let you go!! Hahaha!”

He laughed viciously without stopping, his expression looking especially twisted.

Just like before, he could not see his own situation clearly.

That was right.

He was from the Uchiha clan, and he was the direct grandson of the Uchiha great elder.

How could the brat in front of him dare kill him?

He had not dared before!

And he definitely did not dare now!

Killing him and merely seriously injuring him were two different things. He believed that Seiryū absolutely did not have that kind of courage.

Those earlier words had just been a bluff hiding weakness!

He firmly believed that in his heart!!

Not far away, Tsunade heard those words and could not help furrowing her brows.

To still be saying things like that in this situation.

At the same time, she also understood something.

She understood what Seiryū had meant before.

A lunatic like this, if not killed, really could become a threat to Seiryū’s family and friends.

”Finished talking?”

Hearing that, Seiryū merely smiled.

But his smile was cold and mocking, enough to make anyone shiver.

Bang! Crack!

Seiryū lifted his foot and brought it down.

With a sharp crack, his other shin was broken as well, and his scream became even more shrill.

Bang bang! Crack crack!

Listening to his pleasant screams, Seiryū’s smile became even ”happier.”

He did not stop moving, bringing his foot down again and again.

Thigh bone, hand, forearm. He crushed all four of his limbs, his movements clean and decisive.

Such a ruthless scene made everyone inside and outside the arena suck in a cold breath!

Some people even showed pity in their eyes.

Wasn’t this too ruthless?

He had already lost the ability to resist, yet Seiryū still struck so heavily.

Looking down at him from above, Seiryū said calmly, ”The Uchiha clan isn’t as powerful as you think. Other people might not dare kill you, but I definitely do.”

Forming a one-handed seal, Seiryū pointed his right hand at him, whose face was full of rage, fear, and resentment. ”Hadō #4...”

”Stop!!”

A furious shout rang out.

Setsuna leapt down from the stands and landed in the arena.

In an instant, he used a genjutsu to control the ANBU maintaining the Four Violet Flames Formation, forcing them to release it.

Then he rushed straight at Seiryū, trying to stop him.

He was someone in whom Setsuna had placed great hopes, someone who might awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan.

How could Setsuna possibly let him be killed here!?

At the same time, he had never expected that Seiryū would really dare to kill him!!

How dared he!?

He was being too arrogant!!

”Byakurai.”

Seiryū naturally heard Setsuna’s shout, but he ignored it.

Stop?

Hehehe.

The Hadō that had already been prepared shot from Seiryū’s fingertip, and with a crackling burst of lightning.

Right in front of Setsuna, the beam pierced straight through his heart.

Front to back, completely through, blood flowing out.

His eyes widened, full of disbelief and shock.

Seiryū had actually really tried to kill him!?

How dared he!?

He wanted to say something, opening his mouth, but he no longer had the strength.

His strength and life force rapidly drained away, and in the end, darkness filled his vision.

Uchiha Ryōsuke, dead!

Only after killing him did Seiryū turn his head to look at Setsuna, revealing a bright smile. ”Great Elder Setsuna, what was it you said just now? I didn’t hear it clearly.”
