Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

With a throw from Seiryū.

Rasenshuriken traced an arc through the air and shot straight toward Orochimaru’s position.

The humming of its rapid rotation became especially piercing at that moment.

”Does this brat actually want to kill me!?”

Looking at the incoming Rasenshuriken, Orochimaru felt an intense premonition of death, and his expression turned grave.

A question suddenly arose in his heart.

Had this brat recognized him or not?

He was actually using a ninjutsu of this level against him?

Buzz!

But facing the incoming Rasenshuriken, Orochimaru did not dare sit still and wait for death.

One wrong move and he might actually die under this kind of ninjutsu.

He had just been about to break free from the sealing technique on his body and use a ninjutsu to block it.

But before he could move, the sealing technique on his body dispersed at that moment.

”Hm? Looks like he really did guess my identity.”

Orochimaru understood inwardly.

The other side had definitely guessed his identity.

Those earlier words had been reminding him of the danger of the technique, and the sealing technique had just happened to disperse at this exact moment.

And he also sharply noticed.

This incoming ninjutsu was not as fast as he had imagined.

There was enough time for him to dodge it.

Clearly, the other side had done this on purpose.

Thinking of that, Orochimaru’s lips curled upward. ”Heh, what an interesting brat.”

Whoosh!

Without the slightest hesitation, Orochimaru pushed off with his foot and flashed to the left.

In the blink of an eye, he had already moved dozens of meters away from his original position.

But his gaze remained locked on the incoming Rasenshuriken.

He naturally knew what kind of ninjutsu Rasengan was.

But he had never heard of a Rasengan fused with nature transformation.

This should also be a new jutsu developed by that brat!

He was curious about just how powerful it really was.

And just after Orochimaru had moved dozens of meters away from his original position, the form of the flying Rasenshuriken began to fluctuate and distort.

Then it released a dazzling white light.

The next instant!

At the spot where Orochimaru had just been standing, the flying Rasenshuriken exploded directly!

Boom!!!

As Rasenshuriken exploded, an ear-splitting roar rang out.

The sound shook the entire Forest of Death, and even those near the forest could hear it clearly!

The gathered wind pressure turned into a boundless storm.

It engulfed everything within a radius of dozens of meters.

Within the storm, it was as if countless sharp, slender chakra needles were piercing through everything.

The ground, the trees, everything was destroyed completely under the might of that storm.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

The winds generated by the explosion swept in all directions, and the wind pressure tore through everything.

Trees in the surrounding area were uprooted, and the scene was absolutely astonishing.

Although Orochimaru was some distance away, under this destructive storm, he was like a single leaf caught in a tempest. His body was swept sideways by the storm, as if struck by a giant hammer, forcing him to spit out a large mouthful of blood.

A stunned look could not help appearing in his eyes.

Then his whole body was blown backward by the storm.

He only barely stopped after crashing into a tall tree behind him and knocking it over.

”I still underestimated him.”

The oncoming wind was still terrifying. After steadying himself, Orochimaru narrowed his eyes and looked at the destruction caused by the ninjutsu ahead.

He had underestimated this ninjutsu. Just the shockwave alone had injured him!

Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, he muttered softly, ”To master a ninjutsu like this at such an age, and one that was probably developed by him personally, his talent truly is terrifying.”

The other side was only around ten years old, yet had already mastered a ninjutsu of this level, and it was a technique he himself had developed and perfected.

He had never seen talent like this before.

Even the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama, whom he somewhat admired for developing so many S-rank ninjutsu and forbidden techniques.

In terms of talent for ninjutsu, might also be far inferior to this brat.

Sasori was also looking in that direction, his hands clenching slightly.

The caution in his eyes had already risen to its peak. ”If I were hit head-on by an attack like that, I might die.”

He too was a genius in Suna.

He had even believed that among people his own age, no one could be his opponent.

Even the geniuses of other villages were the same.

But this one trip to the Chunin Exam had made him realize that the geniuses of the other villages were not inferior to him at all!

Some of them were even more talented than he was!

Especially this so-called strongest genius of Konoha, Seiryū. He was several years younger than Sasori, yet the strength he displayed was enough to make even Sasori wary.

If that kind of ninjutsu hit him, there was no doubt that he might die.

”A human body cannot withstand that kind of attack. I need to find time to develop the forbidden technique I’ve been envisioning.”

Sasori muttered softly.

”For now, I’ll let you go. But in the later exams, I will kill you, Hatake Kakashi.”

After giving Kakashi one last look, Sasori let out a cold snort.

By himself alone, there was no way he could deal with these Konoha shinobi.

His figure flashed, and Sasori immediately left, disappearing into the dense forest.

”So this is Seiryū’s true strength?”

Kakashi, who had always regarded Seiryū as his rival, could no longer close his mouth as he stared blankly at the destruction caused by Seiryū’s ninjutsu ahead.

He realized.

Not only had the gap between him and Seiryū not narrowed, it seemed to have grown even wider.

Would he really have any chance of surpassing Seiryū in this lifetime?

At this moment, Kakashi felt somewhat shaken.

Duy also let out a sigh of admiration. ”As expected of Seiryū. No wonder you said the Seventh Gate of Shock was enough. With the two of us joining forces, we really did have a certain chance of holding off that Jōnin.”

With the two of them working together, they really had been able to handle that Jōnin to some extent.

To think that his judgment in this regard had actually been worse than that of a child.

That made him feel somewhat embarrassed.

After giving Orochimaru that hit, the frustration in Seiryū’s heart also dissipated quite a bit. He grinned and muttered, ”Heh, you set your sights on me, so if I didn’t give you a hit like that, you’d really think I was easy to bully, huh?”

Kill Orochimaru directly?

That was not very realistic.

Orochimaru was famous for being hard to kill.

In the original story, even after being sealed by Uchiha Itachi with the Totsuka Blade, he still had not truly gone down.

Rasenshuriken definitely would not kill him. Instead, it would make Orochimaru completely set his sights on him.

That would not be worth it.

There was no way it was a good deal to gain a hard-to-kill enemy for nothing.

Anyway, the mission was only to get through the crisis.

With Duy’s earlier outburst and the use of Rasenshuriken.

Such a huge disturbance would definitely be noticed.

It had already clearly gone beyond the scope of the Chunin Exam, so other people would come to investigate.

And Orochimaru, still disguised, definitely would not dare expose himself. The chance of him leaving was extremely high.

That meant the mission was already more than halfway complete. Mm, this reward was basically the same as getting it for free.
