Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Tsunade did not know what Seiryū was sighing about, and she could not be bothered to care.

If he did not say things she could not understand, then he would not be Seiryū.

Tsunade continued, ”You should’ve already met the Genin from the other shinobi villages, right? Did you find anyone troublesome? Are you confident you can beat them?”

Seiryū shook his head. ”Hard to say.”

Tsunade snorted. ”If you lose and don’t become a Chunin, just you wait.”

”Hm?”

Seiryū caught the key point and asked suspiciously and warily, ”You... didn’t place a bet, did you? Betting on me to win? Betting that I can become a Chunin!?”

Hey, hey.

This was no joke!

Seiryū did not dare gamble on Tsunade’s luck in gambling.

Black lines appeared on Tsunade’s face.

She really wanted to split open this brat’s skull and see what kind of structure his brain had.

How had he connected it to something like that?

Or was it that.

In this brat’s mind, her image was just that of a compulsive gambler?

To actually think of her that way as his teacher, was this brat tired of living or what!

Tsunade narrowed her eyes, danger appearing in them. ”Do you think that’s possible? As the guiding Jōnin of a team participating in the Chunin Exam, how could I possibly do something like that? What do you take the Chunin Exam for?”

”As long as you didn’t place a bet.”

Hearing that Tsunade had not placed a bet, Seiryū immediately let out a sigh of relief.

But considering how unreliable Tsunade was, he still asked suspiciously, ”You really didn’t place a bet? Sending Shizune to do it for you doesn’t count either!”

Making an open move as a feint while sneaking in the real play.

Tsunade was absolutely capable of doing something that ridiculous.

Tsunade’s face darkened.

Her fists clenched.

She really wanted to smash something.

Preferably a skull.

”Haha, just kidding. Why are you so bad at taking a joke?”

Seeing Tsunade’s darkened face, Seiryū made a judgment in his heart.

She probably had not placed a bet.

That was good.

Otherwise, he would not even know what to do.

Once that causality weapon activated, even Ōtsutsuki from other timelines might come over to join the fun.

He quickly changed the subject and brought up another matter. ”By the way, bad woman, Orochimaru-sama mentioned a suggestion to me just now. He said he wanted to take me as his disciple. You...”

Before Seiryū could finish speaking.

Tsunade’s brows immediately shot up, and she snorted coldly. ”Tell him to get lost!”

If Seiryū had not already become Jiraiya’s disciple first, she would not even have wanted Seiryū to have too much contact with Jiraiya.

And now add Orochimaru, whose personality and behavior were both somewhat dark?

He could get lost as far away as possible!

She absolutely would not allow Seiryū to be touched by anyone else, especially people with bad habits like that.

Even if they were fellow Sannin, it did not matter. She could teach Seiryū well enough herself, no one else needed to interfere!

Seiryū could not help giving Tsunade a thumbs-up.

It also did not go beyond his expectations.

Tsunade really did have a strange possessiveness toward him.

That much could be seen from how she repeatedly reminded him not to keep hanging around Jiraiya all the time.

Of course.

Right now, Tsunade definitely did not have those kinds of thoughts mixed in.

Their relationship had not really changed in nature yet.

She was only treating him as a disciple, a little brother, family.

After all, he was just a kid. No matter how abnormal Tsunade was, it would not go that far, right?

Being into young boys was the same level of crime as being into young girls!!

Tsunade glared at Seiryū and said flatly, ”His ninjutsu doesn’t suit you. If he brings it up to you again in the future, push it over to me. I’ll explain it to him myself.”

”OK.”

Seiryū made a hand gesture and continued, ”I really don’t have the energy right now to learn other techniques anyway. There’s still a time bomb in the middle of my forehead.”

He did not trust Orochimaru.

A mad scientist type was really too troublesome!

Turning her head to glance at Seiryū’s forehead.

The dragon vein chakra sealed inside Seiryū’s Yin Seal was also something that worried Tsunade.

She reached out and rubbed Seiryū’s head, her expression serious. ”I will find a way to solve it. Don’t go doing anything risky on your own and cause something irreversible to happen!”

Maybe it was also time to find a chance to try learning senjutsu.

Not for herself, but for Seiryū.

As for relying on Jiraiya?

Heh.

That guy was not reliable at all!!

With a smack, Seiryū slapped Tsunade’s hand away, the corner of his mouth twitching. ”Can you stop always launching sneak attacks like that? That habit needs to change, hurry up and fix it!”

And to say it one more time seriously.

He hated having his head touched, even by beautiful women!

Tsunade laughed. ”You brat, you’re actually unhappy about it? Don’t you touch Kurenai’s head all the time too? What, you’re allowed to touch other people, but no one else is allowed to touch you?”

”That’s different. Kurenai likes it, I don’t! Of course, if it’s for money, then maybe it’s negotiable. One time, one thousand ryō!”

”Have you fallen into a money pit? Everything has to involve money with you? If someone gave you enough money, could they just buy you too?”

Seiryū thought about that question, then answered in a very serious tone, ”That depends on who it is. If it’s a rich young lady loaded with money, wealthy enough to rival a nation, beautiful and gentle in personality, then I’d actually be pretty willing!”

Who would not want to be kept by a rich, beautiful, gentle wealthy young lady?

At least Seiryū was very willing.

Anyone who wasn’t willing was an idiot!

In the end, Seiryū concluded, ”Money is really useful. Putting everything else aside, I even spent three million ryō to buy the position of Regent of Rōran, and Onee-san didn’t object either!”

Spending three million ryō to buy the position of Regent was absolutely a huge profit, wasn’t it!

That was Regent, after all.

Even if it was just a small country, converted over it was still equivalent to the position of one of Konoha’s advisor elders!

”...Not allowed!”

”Why not?”

Tsunade spoke righteously and domineeringly, ”Because I’m your teacher. Whatever I say goes. You don’t get to object. A disciple should listen to their teacher!”

Seiryū gave her a sidelong glance and sighed. ”I take back what I said earlier. I actually don’t like your overbearing personality that much. Also, I’ve never publicly acknowledged you as my teacher. That’s just your own one-sided assumption!”

”You’re asking for a beating!”

”Hell, you’re serious? Fine, just wait. Give me a few more years and I’ll definitely hang you up and beat you, the kind where you won’t even be able to get out of bed!!”

”Heh.”

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The two of them started fighting the moment they disagreed.

One chased, the other ran.

Tsunade chased, Seiryū ran, and from time to time, loud rumbles rang out.

The birds and beasts in the Forest of Death were so startled that they scattered in all directions.

Seeing this scene.

Kakashi and Duy, walking behind them, both froze for a moment.

The two exchanged glances, and both saw confusion and puzzlement in each other’s eyes.

How did it turn into a fight just from walking along?

Was this how this teacher and student usually got along?

They did not understand, but they were deeply shocked inside!

Kakashi even guessed, ”Could it be that the reason Seiryū’s strength has improved so quickly is because he often spars with Tsunade-sama?”

Duy fell silent.

Which eye of yours saw sparring?

What he clearly saw was Seiryū being chased down and beaten.

That was not sparring, that was just getting beaten up!!
