Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Seiryū did not care how Tsunade or Hiruzen would handle this matter afterward.

He did not have the time to pay attention to it right now.

”Three times, three times! Do you know how I survived the first two times? And this time, the injuries are even worse. It hurts like hell.”

Without the relief of Tsunade’s Medical Ninjutsu, Seiryū could once again clearly feel the excruciating pain inside and outside his body.

It hurt so much that he felt like he was dying.

More importantly.

Why the hell were his injuries so severe, yet his consciousness was so clear?

Could it be that the ”excitement” from entering the ”Intangibility State” and activating the Dragon Vein Chakra Mode had not worn off yet?

Regardless, Seiryū was the one suffering.

He felt mentally exhausted.

He did not know how long he would have to lie here this time.

Listening to Seiryū’s energetic screams and groans of pain, Tsunade felt worried yet amused at the same time.

However, she did not show her emotions.

Instead, putting on the expression of a stern Sensei, she snorted coldly. ”Who told you to be so extreme and reckless?”

”You clearly knew that using Dragon Vein Chakra without mastering Sage Arts would damage your body, yet you still did something so dangerous!”

Seiryū groaned. ”I couldn’t have killed that old guy otherwise. That old guy was actually quite strong, but if he dares to threaten me, I dare to blow him up!”

”Did you not consider your own physical condition? The Dragon Vein can make people fall into a rampage just like a Tailed Beast. If your plan failed, what would your fate have been? You are too irresponsible toward yourself!”

”This is me being responsible for myself. If I couldn’t control the power of the Dragon Vein, the risk would be even greater, okay? Now that I have mastered a portion of the Dragon Vein’s power, I won’t have to worry about the Dragon Vein going on a rampage in the future.”

What do you mean by irresponsible toward myself?

This is clearly being responsible!

After mastering a portion of the Dragon Vein’s source power, Seiryū would not have to worry about the Dragon Vein causing him to rampage and lose his sanity in the future.

It was equivalent to eliminating a hidden danger.

If he counted the elimination of Setsuna.

That meant solving two hidden dangers.

A double blessing, right?

”Besides, even without that old guy’s ocular power to help, I still have the necklace you gave me.”

”As long as the seal set upon it dissipates, the necklace’s ability to suppress Tailed Beasts will take effect and allow me to regain my sanity.”

Seiryū lay limp in Tsunade’s arms, with only his eyes and mouth able to move. ”You definitely wouldn’t let me get killed and would step in when things got dangerous, so everything was within my calculations.”

Indeed, everything was within his calculations.

The only thing that was unexpected.

Was that the damn injuries this time were even heavier than the previous two times!

It was simply infuriating.

Hearing this, Tsunade was surprised.

No wonder the necklace containing Great-grandfather’s Chakra did not react when this brat was rampaging earlier.

It was actually this brat’s scheme?

His brain really worked well.

And he had considered all this in such a short amount of time.

He really was a little freak!

”Your brain really isn’t just usually good. You considered everything?”

”No, there is one situation I didn’t consider.”

”Didn’t everything go according to your plan? You managed to pull off such an incredible feat. What situation could you have missed?”

Tsunade became curious.

In her view.

Seiryū’s considerations and plans were already very comprehensive.

At any rate, she reckoned she could not have thought of these things herself.

As a result, was there actually a situation that Seiryū, this incredibly smart brat, had not considered?

What kind of situation could it be?

”Did you secretly place a bet?”

Seiryū stared sharply at Tsunade and said leisurely, ”A bet on me winning this Chunin Exams? That I would successfully become a Chunin?”

Although he had no proof.

But Seiryū felt that it must have been the ”Trap Card: Gambling Luck Causality” that Tsunade buried which had activated.

That was the only reason he ended up in such a state.

Severely injured.

With such injuries, he definitely would not be able to mobilize the Chakra in his body to perform Kaidō for at least a month.

He would definitely have to forfeit the subsequent Chunin Exams!

How could there be such a coincidence?

Therefore.

Seiryū had reason to suspect.

It was that bad woman Tsunade who refused to believe in bad luck and secretly placed a bet.

Betting that he could make it to the end of this Chunin Exams and successfully become a Chunin.

After hearing this, Tsunade’s expression suddenly stiffened.

She looked straight ahead, not at Seiryū.

The expression on her face was a bit unnatural.

Because Seiryū had previously spoken so seriously, saying that her gambling luck was very metaphysical and that she always lost.

How could she believe such a thing?

It was completely unreasonable!

This was Seiryū’s prejudice against her gambling luck.

She refused to believe in this superstition.

So she secretly had Shizune go to the bookie to place a bet.

The goal was to prove that this metaphysics did not exist and that it was just pure bad luck!

As a result.

Could there really be metaphysics!?

Seeing Tsunade’s unnatural expression, Seiryū knew his guess was correct.

His face immediately darkened, and he roared, ”Just because you don’t speak, do you think I don’t know? You bad woman, you definitely placed a bet, right?”

”I warned you over and over again not to place a bet, but you just wouldn’t listen. Look, you’ve caused me to be severely injured again!”

Afterward.

Seiryū seemed to have thought of something.

His expression was full of disbelief and shock. ”This wouldn’t be your conspiracy, would it? The goal was to let me get injured so you could treat me and then swindle my pocket money!?”

He gasped.

This bad woman was too ruthless, right?

She was trying to swindle him to death!!

Tsunade’s face was as black as the bottom of a pot.

”What are you saying, you brat?”

Tsunade gritted her teeth and glared at Seiryū, but at the same time, she felt a bit guilty.

Could it really be because she bet on Seiryū successfully becoming a Chunin.

That this situation occurred?

No, that couldn’t. Could it?

”How could such a thing be possible!”

Tsunade naturally would not take the blame. She snorted coldly. ”If you hadn’t ignored my words and forcibly released the Strength of a Hundred Seal, would this situation have happened?”

She snorted, and Seiryū snorted back. ”No wonder I felt something was wrong. There was an inexplicable force controlling me in the dark, making me want to kill that old guy even regardless of the injury.”

”I didn’t expect it was because you placed a bet!”

”I told you long ago that your gambling luck is very metaphysical. Don’t bet that I can win or become a Chunin, but you just wouldn’t listen!”

”Now look, not only am I severely injured and have to lie here for a while, but I also can’t participate in the upcoming Chunin Exams. Tell me, what have you done!?”

This matter absolutely could not end well.

He could see that this bad woman was feeling guilty.

Then he had to press his advantage.

Without the status of a creditor, it was hard to control the other party, and he would be swindled by her in turn. In order to control her and prevent being swindled out of his pocket money again.

Seiryū felt he needed to get this matter completely settled!!

Tsunade: ”....”

She was somewhat guilty.

After all, Seiryū had indeed said many times before not to place a bet.

Yet she had insisted on having her own way.

Could it really be that this situation happened because she placed a bet?

She always felt something was wrong, but she could not put her finger on it.

Was her gambling luck really metaphysical?

What a strange feeling.

Seiryū pressed his advantage. ”I don’t care. The reason I was injured this time, and the reason I didn’t become a Chunin, is all because you placed a bet. You must take full responsibility!!”

”And don’t even think about using this treatment to swindle my money. You owe me a favor!!”

Finding a chance to swindle this bad woman once.

Seiryū could not let it go!

Tsunade’s face darkened. ”I see it now. You were using rhetoric to guide me, and now you’re finally showing your true colors, right?”

Seiryū looked righteous. ”This isn’t guidance, it’s the truth. Just tell me, did I say not to place a bet? Not just once, right?”

Tsunade did not speak.

She could see it now.

This brat just wanted to use this matter to swindle her.

It was a counterattack and revenge against her!

This brat was indeed holding a grudge!

He even said Ryosuke held grudges, remembering the time he was almost crippled three years ago. Wasn’t Seiryū himself also a petty person?

Just in terms of holding grudges.

She felt this brat Seiryū was even worse than Ryosuke.

After all, Seiryū had a little notebook for holding grudges.

He had recorded all her ”crimes” of swindling him.

Seeing Tsunade not speaking, Seiryū finally delivered the verdict. ”Anyway, this time it’s your fault. As for why I was injured, you are eighty percent responsible!!”

In any case, he had already decided that Tsunade owed him a favor.

The evidence was conclusive, and the other party could not deny it.

The reason he suffered such severe injuries was eighty percent due to Tsunade’s gambling luck!!

”I can’t be bothered to talk to you!”

Tsunade pouted.

She also could not be bothered to argue about these things with this injured brat.

At most, she would just swindle him back next time.

She was Seiryū’s Jōnin Instructor and his Sensei. She had plenty of ways to handle him.

This time, seeing that he was severely injured, she would let him win!

Soon.

Tsunade carried Seiryū in a princess carry, and before long, they arrived at her home.

She did not mind the bloodstains on Seiryū, placed him on the bed in his room, and once again performed Medical Ninjutsu to alleviate his injuries.

”Huh?”

Re-examining and alleviating Seiryū’s injuries, Tsunade immediately noticed something wrong.

She felt a bit strange. ”The injuries on your body seem to have recovered a little?”

Seiryū’s injuries.

Seemed to have recovered a little compared to just now?

Seiryū was stunned. ”Recovered a little?”

”Mm.”

Tsunade nodded and guessed, ”Could it be that after the first two injuries, your body has developed a resistance? After all, you have the special constitution of the Uzumaki Clan.”

Seiryū’s mouth twitched. ”What the hell, developed a resistance! Do you hear what you are saying? This isn’t poisoning, so where would resistance come from?”

”It’s just a metaphor, don’t interrupt!”

Tsunade treated Seiryū while looking him up and down.

She muttered to herself, ”Has the body adapted to the injuries, making the recovery rate faster? Your body is indeed somewhat special.”

”Come to think of it, I’ve only heard of this constitution from Grandma Mito, and I haven’t studied it yet.”

”And. Why does it feel similar to Great-grandfather’s situation?”

Her Great-grandfather, Senju Hashirama, also had a very special constitution.

Even without using Ninjutsu, injuries to his body would heal quickly.

For this kind of healing effect, she could only reach a similar level by opening the Strength of a Hundred Seal and using Creation Rebirth: Strength of a Hundred Technique.

Now Seiryū’s body seemed to be starting to show this characteristic.

Could it be that the special constitution of the Uzumaki Clan was the same situation as Great-grandfather’s constitution?

That was possible!

After all, the Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan were distant relatives.

If tracing back to the source, they even had the same ancestor.

Seiryū’s expression became weird. ”Hey, what do you mean by that? Don’t you dare try to get my body!”

”Even though I can’t resist right now, and even though you are very good-looking, I will fight to the end. I will scream!!”

This look was like a scientist looking at a lab rat, full of aggression.

What did this bad woman want to do!?

Did she want to do some very evil, very evil things to him while he could not resist!?

”Don’t be cheeky.”

Tsunade glared at Seiryū.

What kind of wild words was he saying?

Who would want the body of a brat who had not even grown up yet?

She was not a pervert!

If she wanted to, it would be later.

Uh, wrong!

How could she do anything to Seiryū?

She was his Sensei.

After a pause, Tsunade continued to ask, ”Can you perceive any difference yourself?”

Seiryū felt his body, and other than the pain, he felt nothing else, so he shook his head. ”What can I perceive in this state? If it weren’t for my strong willpower, I would have been screaming from the pain long ago.”

”That’s true.”

Tsunade nodded.

With such severe injuries, the fact that he did not trigger his body’s protective mechanism and fall into a coma.

Made her feel strange.

This brat’s willpower was indeed quite strong after the last two injuries.

He even had the mood to be cheeky.

”I guess it has to do with the Dragon Vein Chakra? Now that I have mastered a portion of the Dragon Vein’s source Chakra, although I can’t be considered a perfect Jinchuriki yet, there must be some differences.”

The body’s recovery rate had increased?

Seiryū felt it should be related to his mastery of a portion of the Dragon Vein’s source Chakra.

The Nine-Tails had Yin and Yang.

Didn’t the Dragon Vein have it?

Among them, Yang Release Chakra was linked to vitality.

Even without mastering Sage Arts, Dragon Vein Chakra containing natural energy would cause damage to the body.

But after all, he had mastered a portion of the Dragon Vein’s source Chakra, so it would be unreasonable if there were not some changes.

Of course.

Seiryū was just guessing.

After his injuries recovered, he would investigate it clearly.

”That is possible.”

Tsunade thought for a moment and felt it made some sense.

Her own Great-grandfather only had that powerful healing effect become stronger after activating Sage Mode.

There were still many unsolved mysteries about things like Chakra.

Not to mention the Dragon Vein, a type of Chakra whose characteristics were somewhat similar to Tailed Beasts.

No one knew what changes would occur after mastering the power of the Dragon Vein.

As long as it was not a bad change, it was fine.

Seiryū’s recovery rate becoming stronger was also a good thing for Seiryū. At least the time he had to lie here could be shortened.

Tsunade remembered another important matter and asked, ”By the way, does mobilizing Dragon Vein Chakra now cause damage to your body?”

Seiryū showed a dead-fish eye expression and said helplessly, ”Yes, so I still have to learn Sage Arts.”
