Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”Can you escape?”

Looking at Mahiru fleeing in one direction at full speed, Seiryū bared his teeth. ”Perfect, I’ll use you to test the effect of Bakudō #63, Sajō Sabaku.”

”Go.”

”Bakudō #63, Sajō Sabaku!”

Seiryū formed a seal with one hand, chakra surging through his body.

As the five fingers of his right hand spread open, several thick golden chains extended out from his palm.

As for Bakudō #63, Sajō Sabaku, Seiryū had already tested it a little yesterday.

It could be successfully replicated in this world.

He just did not know yet what the exact effect would be.

So he would use the other party to test it.

With a thought from Seiryū.

The golden chains of Sajō Sabaku moved like spirit snakes, not slow at all, winding toward Mahiru, who was fleeing ahead.

In the blink of an eye.

Clatter clatter!

The golden chains wrapped around Mahiru’s body like a python’s deadly constriction, instantly binding him tightly.

With both hands and feet bound, Mahiru fell helplessly to the ground.

”Another sealing jutsu!! Why, why is this guy so skilled at sealing jutsu? Is he one of the Uzumaki clan!?”

His body bound by the thick golden chains and his ability to move gone, Mahiru gritted his teeth and roared.

No matter how much chakra he burst out with, he could not break free from the golden chains.

His eyes were also filled with despair.

Red hair, skilled in sealing jutsu, the other party might be one of the Uzumaki clan.

At such a young age, he had already mastered so many kinds of sealing jutsu, each one stronger than the last.

It seemed they had misjudged his strength.

And the price was their lives.

His figure flashed over. Looking at Mahiru, who was wrapped in golden chains and had already lost the ability to resist, Seiryū could not help muttering, ”As expected, it’s somewhat different from Adamantine Sealing Chains.”

Bakudō #63, Sajō Sabaku, was very similar to Adamantine Sealing Chains.

But the difference was not small.

If he remembered correctly.

Adamantine Sealing Chains could pierce into the target’s body, then interfere with the flow of chakra within the target’s body.

Strengthening the sealing effect.

But Bakudō #63, Sajō Sabaku, focused more on wrapping and restraining.

From his perception, the chakra inside Mahiru’s body had not been disturbed.

It seemed to only have the effect of restricting movement.

If nothing else, both Shitotsu Sansen and Rikujōkōrō had the effect of interfering with chakra flow.

But Seiryū also discovered.

Compared to Shitotsu Sansen and Rikujōkōrō, Sajō Sabaku was much tougher, which meant that once someone was bound by Sajō Sabaku, it would be harder to break free.

There were pros and cons.

”Forget it, I’ll study it carefully later.”

Without thinking too much about it, he planned to research it properly in the future.

Looking at Mahiru struggling, trying to break free from Sajō Sabaku, Seiryū grinned slightly. ”It’s time to send you on your way.”

”Hadō #4, Byakurai!”

Without the power to resist, even an ordinary person could kill him at that point.

The only pity was that no mission had refreshed.

He had no intention of wasting time either. Seiryū formed a seal and raised his hand, firing a bolt of lightning straight through Mahiru’s heart, piercing him clean through from front to back.

Blood gradually dyed the ground red.

His heart pierced through, Mahiru’s eyes widened. After making two choked sounds, ”ugh, ugh,” his pupils began to lose focus, and the life force inside him slowly faded away.

With this, the squad battle came to an end.

From the start of the battle to the deaths of the three Iwa shinobi, less than a few minutes had passed.

Too fast!

Even Orochimaru, who was watching the battle, felt surprised.

”As expected, remarkable.”

On top of the crown of a large tree, Orochimaru looked down below and sighed inwardly.

In his judgment, although the strength of the three Iwa shinobi had not yet reached the standard of Konoha Jōnin, they were still more well-rounded than some Tokubetsu Jōnin.

Yet they were killed so easily.

Calling it effortless would not be far off.

Then Orochimaru’s gaze flickered slightly as he guessed, ”The sealing jutsu he used at the end looked like Adamantine Sealing Chains, yet also somewhat different.”

”Those three sealing jutsu all share some similar characteristics with Adamantine Sealing Chains.”

”Could it be that the boy developed new sealing jutsu based on the special chakra of his Uzumaki clan bloodline?”

”If that’s the case, then that boy’s talent is even greater than I imagined.”

Three sealing jutsu had taken down three Iwa shinobi.

It could be said that Seiryū’s sealing jutsu had played the key role.

And of those three sealing jutsu, Orochimaru was certain, he had never seen them before.

The golden chains at the end were very similar to the Adamantine Sealing Chains in his memory.

But they were definitely not Adamantine Sealing Chains, the way they manifested was somewhat different.

Adamantine Sealing Chains was the most special sealing jutsu of the Uzumaki clan. Only members of the Uzumaki clan could use it, and it was more like a kekkei genkai.

Training?

It would be more accurate to call it awakening.

If you were not from the Uzumaki clan and did not have the Uzumaki clan’s special chakra.

No matter how outstanding your talent was, you would never be able to develop Adamantine Sealing Chains.

In this regard, it was even closer to the Uchiha clan’s Sharingan and the Hyūga clan’s Byakugan.

A power unique to those bloodline clans.

The three sealing jutsu Seiryū had just displayed all had chakra properties similar to Adamantine Sealing Chains.

A reasonable deduction.

Perhaps Seiryū had developed new sealing jutsu based on the special chakra of his Uzumaki clan bloodline.

It even made him think about taking the other party as his disciple.

Unfortunately.

He had previously been busy researching the transplantation of the First Hokage’s cells and had not paid much attention to other matters.

So Jiraiya and Tsunade had gotten there first.

Seiryū ignored Mahiru, who no longer had any breath left, and instead called out toward Orochimaru over there, ”I say, Orochimaru-sama, this time our squad should be the winner, right?”

As the examiner, Orochimaru had not concealed his presence or chakra fluctuations.

Naturally, he had been detected by Seiryū’s Bakudō #58, Kakushitsuijaku.

But what was this guy doing?

Their opponents were already thoroughly dead.

Why was he still over there acting like some expert?

”Hehe.”

Hearing Seiryū call out to him, Orochimaru merely smiled.

His figure flashed, and with a few Body Flicker Techniques, he arrived over here.

Orochimaru habitually licked his lips, his golden vertical pupils staring at Seiryū.

In a hoarse voice, he spoke, but his tone was full of praise. ”Your talent truly is remarkable. Even I want to take you as my disciple. Well? Do you want to become my disciple too?”

”My skill in teaching disciples may not be any worse than Tsunade’s or Jiraiya’s, want to think about it?”

He truly had developed a love for talent.

Moreover, if he could take the other party as his disciple, it would also make it easier to study his body.

It could be said to kill two birds with one stone.

Hearing that, Seiryū froze for a moment, then shook his head frantically. ”Many thanks for Orochimaru-sama’s kindness, but right now I don’t have much energy to learn ninjutsu from you.”

Become Orochimaru’s disciple?

Seiryū had never thought about such a thing.

How was that any different from walking into a trap himself?

Forget it!

He could not afford to provoke him.

After a pause, Seiryū felt that his attitude had not been very good.

His tone became ”sincere” as he tried to patch it up. ”Besides, that bad woman is very possessive of me, she doesn’t even want me to have too much contact with Jiraiya-sensei.”

”Of course, I still respect Orochimaru-sama very much. If you can get that bad woman’s approval, then I am also willing to become your disciple.”

”Being able to become the disciple of all three Sannin would only benefit me, not harm me.”

The meaning behind his words was clear.

He could not make the decision himself.

That bad woman Tsunade was too possessive.

If Orochimaru wanted him to take another master, he would need Tsunade’s approval first.
