Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”Great Ball Rasengan!?”

Jiraiya and Minato exchanged glances again, their eyes filled with nothing but astonishment. Not only had he thought of derivative development, but he had also already named it... This, this, this...

Increasing the amount of Chakra infused makes the Rasengan larger, and in turn, increases its power.

Can it be done?

Of course it can.

The power of a Ninjutsu is inherently related to the user’s proficiency and the amount of Chakra used. The more Chakra infused, the stronger the Ninjutsu. This is basic common knowledge.

In terms of difficulty, it was far easier than adding nature transformation to the Rasengan.

Seiryū didn’t stop there. He continued plagiarizing without hesitation: ”That’s right, Great Ball Rasengan. A slightly larger Rasengan is called the Great Ball Rasengan, an even larger one is the Super Great Ball Rasengan, and if it gets even bigger, you just add another ’Super.’ There’s no upper limit, only bigger!”

”Also, aside from increasing size, I’ve thought of other visual variations.”

”If you can condense one Rasengan, naturally you can condense two, three, or even four...”

”I’ve named two Rasengan the Twin Star Rasengan, three the Tri-Body Rasengan, four the Planetary Rasengan, and anything beyond that, Spiraling Chaos Rasengan!”

”Oh, and the Rasengan has dual rotation, divided into an inner and outer layer. The inner rotation condenses and compresses Chakra, while the outer rotation stabilizes the structure.”

”So, if we further compress the inner rotation, that should create a new form of Rasengan. We could call it Compressed Rasengan. And as for the outer rotation, instead of just maintaining stability, if we fully harness the tearing force of its rotation, it could gain the destructive power of a tornado—we can call that the Tornado Rasengan!”

These should be the shape transformation derivatives of the Rasengan. As for any others, Seiryū truly couldn’t recall them clearly.

Honestly, there are way too many Rasengan variants. These are only the shape-based versions. If we’re talking about fusing them with Chakra nature transformations, the number would be even higher.

”These are all the shape-based Rasengan variations I’ve thought of recently. As for whether they’re possible, we’ll need to test them out.”

”If you have any ideas too, Sensei, Senpai, feel free to add to them.” Seiryū’s mouth was a little dry from talking.

Why hadn’t Kurenai and Kushina come back from shopping yet?

He was thirsty!

Jiraiya and Minato were completely overwhelmed by every single Rasengan Seiryū.

How many Rasengan are there now?

Although they had only heard the general ideas and basic principles, they couldn’t deny that, in theory, these could all be realized. At the very least, there was a clear direction.

As for Seiryū asking them to contribute?

What could they even add?

They had thought that just developing and refining the Rasengan was already impressive enough, but Seiryū’s words had instantly shut them down.

Just the shape transformation alone had so many applications!?

They felt like their entire outlook had been shattered and rebuilt... Jiraiya felt a bit numb. He swallowed and looked at Seiryū with the kind of expression reserved for a monster, gasping, ”All of these... you thought of them recently!?”

Even if the ideas were borrowed, Seiryū had indeed only thought of them recently, so he nodded. ”Yes. After all, I only understood the core principles a few days ago, so I’ve only come up with a few types so far. They’re just concepts. I haven’t had the chance to test whether they’re viable yet.”

Minato couldn’t help but give Seiryū a thumbs-up. ”Even if they’re just concepts, since they’re based on Chakra shape transformation, the feasibility is extremely high. Having you help develop the Rasengan was definitely the right decision!”

’Of course they’re feasible. I plagiarized them...’ Seiryū thought to himself, but outwardly, he maintained a modest smile. ”Haha, if it weren’t for Sensei and Senpai, I wouldn’t have even learned the Rasengan. Mutual support, mutual support!”

Hearing that, Jiraiya and Minato both smiled in relief.

Seiryū was truly humble!

What a good kid!

After more than twenty days of working together, the relationship between the teacher, disciple, and Senpai had grown closer.

Just then, Kushina and Kurenai returned from shopping. Kurenai’s cheerful voice rang out first. ”Seiryū, Pervy Sage, Minato-nii, we’re back!”

Seeing the three had stopped training, Kushina greeted them. ”Training’s done? Then come eat some watermelon. Time to relax a bit.”

Today, she had received permission from the Third Hokage to move about freely outside the Sealing Barrier. Since her boyfriend was here and Seiryū was also around, Kushina naturally came to join in the fun.

Well, not just for fun. She also had to guide Minato’s training in Sealing Techniques!

Seiryū took the watermelon Kushina handed him and, with a stiff expression, said politely, ”Thank you, Kushina-nee...”

Sister... This was something Kushina had forced Seiryū to call her. Her reasoning was that ”Jōnin Kushina” sounded too formal. Since she was both Seiryū’s Senpai’s girlfriend and a fellow Uzumaki, there was no need to be so distant.

At first, Seiryū resisted. He was, after all, a young man with the physical age of around six but a mental age well over twenty. How could he bring himself to call a teenage girl ”Sister”?

Hahaha. Ridiculous!

But after taking a punch to the head from the ”Red Hot Habanero,” Seiryū became obedient... Fine, fine. Considering he still needed to learn Sealing Techniques from her, Seiryū decided to endure it.

A Shinobi is someone who endures everything.

By enduring the humiliation of calling her ”Sister,” he would one day become a Sage too—Sage Seiryū, plus the Venerable Soul King. That logic was airtight!

”Giggle~” Kushina immediately smiled with satisfaction after hearing Seiryū call her ”Sister.” The little guy was just too adorable. ”Little Seiryū is so polite!”

She reached out to pat his head, but Seiryū dodged. She didn’t mind and just laughed joyfully.

Seiryū retreated to stand beside Kurenai, putting on a blank smile. ”Hehe...”

Kurenai nibbled her watermelon in small bites. Seeing Seiryū suffer a setback, she couldn’t help but feel a bit gleeful and chuckled softly. ”Hehe...”

So Seiryū has his day too! This is so satisfying, truly satisfying!

That’s what you get for always teasing her. Now he knows what it’s like to be teased! Kushina-nee is the best!

”...” Hearing Kurenai’s laughter, Seiryū’s mouth twitched slightly.

What was the meaning behind that little girl’s laughter?

They hardened, his fists hardened!
