Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Tsunade should have overcome her Hemophobia. After all, she had cured Seiryū and saved his life. However, Seiryū made no comment on it. Instead, he felt somewhat weary of life.

Not only was he mentally drained, but he was also physically weak from blood loss. His head felt foggy...

Even Shizune’s exclamation from outside failed to draw his attention. He lay on Tsunade’s bed, the faint fragrance mixed with the smell of blood filling his nose.

He simply stared blankly at the ceiling.

He... had been forcibly kissed...

What a severe trauma this was to his spirit.

He felt unclean... And once again, he’d been swindled out of money. That bad woman immediately demanded five million Ryo, calling it the consultation fee for saving his life.

Instead of collecting a debt, he had lost his first kiss, second kiss, third kiss... and ended up owing five million Ryo?

His thoughts were a mess, and his head was spinning, but the only thing he could be sure of was that he was very, very sad...

”Seiryū, are you alright?”

At that moment, a small head peeked in from the doorway.

It was Shizune.

She looked at the blood all over the floor, and Seiryū, stained red like a person-shaped bloodstain, her astonishment impossible to hide. ”Wha-what happened here? Why is there so much blood...”

What exactly happened?

She didn’t know.

Just earlier, Tsunade-sama, covered in blood, had told her to clean up the room... and then went to take a bath.

As a half-trained Medical-nin, she could naturally tell that Seiryū was extremely weak.

She couldn’t help but suspect—could it be that Tsunade-sama’s morning temper had flared up and she injured Seiryū?

But... Tsunade-sama might hit him, but she wouldn’t go that far, right?

And Tsunade-sama had been drenched in blood, yet showed no fear or panic?

Her Hemophobia is cured?

What on earth had happened here?

”Shizune, I’m impure...”

Seiryū turned his head to look at her, his voice hollow and weak, as if he’d lost his soul. ”And that bad woman is trying to swindle me again, this time directly asking for five million Ryo...”

”No, that’s not right. I clearly cured her Hemophobia. She should be the one paying me the consultation fee!”

At the mention of money, Seiryū’s foggy brain seemed to clear slightly.

Though still dizzy, his thoughts began to return to him—money was truly powerful...

”Impure?”

Shizune blinked, puzzled. But recalling that Seiryū had some mental illness, she assumed he was referring to the blood on his body.

Her attention shifted to something else, her eyes widening slightly in surprise as she asked, ”You said you cured Tsunade-sama’s Hemophobia? How did you do it!?”

Tsunade-sama’s Hemophobia, cured?

And cured by Seiryū?

”It’s simple. Just make that bad woman overcome her fear...”

Seiryū felt exhausted, his eyelids heavy... He instinctively replied to Shizune, his voice very soft. ”I stabbed myself, cut open my carotid artery, and forced her to treat me. If she didn’t act within one minute, I’d be dead, so she had no choice but to overcome her Hemophobia to save me.”

”Don’t you think that’s a genius idea? Only I could think of something like that!”

”But I clearly cured her Hemophobia, yet she still wants a consultation fee from me? That’s too much. She’s really a bad woman, and she even took my...”

Seiryū’s voice grew softer and softer until it fell completely silent.

He wasn’t dead, just asleep. His breathing remained steady.

His life was no longer in danger, but the blood he lost couldn’t be replenished instantly.

Although Seiryū’s physique was special, he was still human. He couldn’t bounce back immediately after losing that much blood.

At most, he would recover faster than others.

”...”

Hearing Seiryū’s explanation, Shizune was completely stunned. Her mouth hung open, and her eyes were filled with shock and disbelief.

No way...

To make Tsunade-sama overcome her Hemophobia, Seiryū had actually used his own life as a bargaining chip!?

That was insane. Too bold!

How could he come up with such a method?

His thinking was way too abnormal!

Her worldview was completely shaken!

Shizune looked at Seiryū, who had fallen into a deep sleep, and couldn’t help but mutter, ”Seiryū’s illness seems to be getting worse. I hope Tsunade-sama can cure him...”

She genuinely felt like Seiryū’s condition was deteriorating.

Normal people would never go to such extremes.

She hoped Tsunade-sama could figure something out soon... but there had been no progress in two years. Was there still hope?

Letting out a slow breath, Shizune stopped thinking about it.

She quietly began cleaning the room.

The pool of blood still hadn’t dried. It was too glaring, and the metallic scent stung her nose.

After cleaning only the floor, Shizune didn’t disturb Seiryū’s rest. Once everything was tidied, she silently left the room.

”...”

At the same time, Tsunade, who had washed off the blood, changed clothes, and was now sitting on the sofa, still looked a little pale. Her hands were trembling slightly, clearly not yet fully recovered from the earlier ordeal.

It had been far too ”stimulating”...

Overcoming one’s deepest fear wasn’t something that happened so easily.

That brat was really sick!!

His actions were way too extreme!

Using his own life as a bargaining chip, betting on whether she could overcome her Hemophobia?

Is that something a normal human would do!?

If she hadn’t managed to push through... if her treatment had been delayed even by a few dozen seconds... that brat would really be dead!

She had been a Medical-nin for so many years, and this was the first time she had encountered such a dangerously reckless situation...

When she saw Shizune come out, Tsunade took a deep breath and steadied her voice. ”Shizune, how’s that brat?”

Shizune replied, ”He’s already asleep.”

Tsunade nodded, thought for a moment, then instructed, ”Go to that brat’s house later and let them know he’ll be staying here for a few days...”

Excessive blood loss could lead to complications.

Though Seiryū was from the Uzumaki Clan and had much stronger vitality than normal people...

She still needed to observe his condition closely.

This brat was far too troublesome!

”Understood, Tsunade-sama.”

Shizune nodded, then asked with some worry, ”Tsunade-sama, is Seiryū really okay? He seemed to have lost a lot of blood...”

Even though she hadn’t seen the scene herself, the bloodstains on the floor and Seiryū’s story made it clear how dangerous the situation had been.

He really was too crazy...

Tsunade let out a breath and waved her hand. ”He’s from the Uzumaki Clan. His vitality is ridiculously strong. With my treatment afterward, he’ll be fine...”

Then she clenched her fists, her heart still unsettled, and cursed, ”But... that brat is an absolute lunatic. Who in their right mind would do something so crazy? Is he really not afraid of death!?”
