Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Minato nodded. ”Hmm, we’re finally making some progress.”

After Seiryū described the various derivative developments of the Rasengan’s form changes, Minato also felt they were feasible.

So, during this time, he had been trying to develop one of them whenever he had the chance.

His talent wasn’t bad either, and he had made progress through his research.

Seiryū was a little curious. ”Which derivative development is it?”

He had been really busy lately. After explaining the various Rasengan variations from the original work, Seiryū hadn’t tried to develop them himself.

There simply hadn’t been time.

Now that he heard Minato had made progress, he was naturally a bit curious.

Minato smiled and said, ”It’s the Great Ball Rasengan.”

As he spoke, Minato demonstrated it.

Buzz buzz buzz...

Chakra gathered rapidly in his palm, spinning violently, forming a Rasengan slightly larger than a basketball. The gust stirred up dust from the ground.

Holding the Great Ball Rasengan, Minato briefly explained, ”In terms of power, it’s several times greater than a normal Rasengan. But, relatively, it consumes much more chakra and takes longer to form.”

Seiryū nodded. ”That’s reasonable.”

In the original work, when Naruto first used the Great Ball Rasengan, he had borrowed the Nine-Tails’ chakra.

From that, it was obvious that the chakra requirement for the Great Ball Rasengan was quite high.

Minato said, ”I can teach you the specific method for performing the Great Ball Rasengan, but with your current chakra reserves, you’ll probably only be able to use it once.”

He had done a rough estimate. Even he could only use the Great Ball Rasengan a few times in one go.

It really consumed a lot of chakra.

With Seiryū’s current reserves, once would be his limit.

The Uzumaki clan did have large chakra pools, but Seiryū was still just a six-year-old child. His body hadn’t fully developed.

Seiryū didn’t refuse. ”Then I’ll trouble senpai.”

Minato smiled. ”Don’t be so polite. This idea came from you in the first place.”

Hearing their conversation, Kushina, who had been ignored, was a little displeased. She put her hands on her hips, raised an eyebrow, and said, ”Hey Seiryū, weren’t we supposed to practice sealing techniques today? Why are you suddenly learning the Great Ball Rasengan again?”

Seiryū was stunned for a moment, then asked in confusion, ”I’m not skipping it. We can do both. Sealing techniques aren’t that difficult...”

Sealing techniques aren’t difficult?

Only Seiryū would dare say something like that. And they couldn’t even refute him, because Seiryū’s speed in learning sealing techniques really was fast.

He could already perform some of the simpler Uzumaki clan sealing techniques.

Kushina smiled, her eyes narrowing slightly. ”Seiryū, just because you’re talented doesn’t mean you can slack off. You want to learn both? Hmph, quite arrogant, huh? Want me to teach you the Adamantine Sealing Chains right now?”

”Adamantine Sealing Chains?” Seiryū didn’t notice the change in her tone. He waved his hand. ”Isn’t that too soon? I haven’t even learned the Four Symbols Seal yet!”

The Adamantine Sealing Chains was a secret technique of the Uzumaki clan.

In the original work, only those with Uzumaki blood had used it. It could even be considered a bloodline limit.

Naturally, Seiryū was interested. If he could learn it, it would confirm that he was indeed a descendant of the Uzumaki clan.

But he was still too young. He hadn’t even mastered the Four Symbols Seal or the Five Elements Seal. How could he jump straight to the Adamantine Sealing Chains?

Wasn’t it better to take things one step at a time?

Thump...

His head was flicked. Seiryū rubbed it, looking at Kushina who had hit him. His mouth twitched. ”What now? Why’d you hit me?”

What was this red-haired pepper girl freaking out for?

He hadn’t done anything to provoke her.

Kushina stood with her hands on her hips, striking a strict sensei pose. ”I was being polite, and now you’re acting cocky, huh? No matter how good your talent is, you can’t slack off. Got it? Today we’re learning sealing techniques first. You promised me that!”

Seiryū: ”...”

Only Minato could put up with her temper.

Senpai, I’ll mourn for you for three seconds.

Kurenai was still cuter. She wouldn’t be unreasonable. She wouldn’t flick his head.

Seiryū pouted. ”Got it. So what are we learning today?”

”What you learned before were just basic sealing techniques. Today I’ll teach you something harder. The Four Symbols Seal. This is the essence of the Uzumaki clan’s sealing arts!” Kushina decided to teach him a more advanced technique.

Otherwise, Seiryū would get too arrogant, which wouldn’t do. Overconfidence could easily turn into conceit.

Seiryū was a good student. He asked when he didn’t understand. ”Didn’t you say before that with my current chakra reserves, advanced sealing techniques wouldn’t be effective?”

Kushina’s eyebrows shot up. ”I told you to learn it, so stop talking and learn it!”

Seiryū’s mouth twitched. Fine, he wouldn’t argue with her. It was good to learn the Four Symbols Seal now anyway.

”I understand, Kushina-nee!”

Minato couldn’t help but laugh.

Hearing his laugh, Kushina shot him a look. ”What are you laughing at? You come watch too. Think of it as review!”

Minato’s expression froze. He forced a smile. ”Coming right away.”

Seiryū gave him a sympathetic look, once again feeling that gentle girls were the best.

Senpai, you’re really working hard...

Although he had already mastered several relatively basic sealing techniques, when Kushina began explaining the principles of the Four Symbols Seal, Seiryū still found it obscure and difficult to grasp.

Using the cycle of four symbols to create sealing channels?

It sounded so mysterious.

The Uzumaki clan’s sealing arts really weren’t simple...

’The system is still better. It directly tells me the principles and execution of Kidō. Isn’t that much easier?’

Seiryū felt the system was truly reliable.

It directly transmitted all the information about Kidō into his mind. He didn’t even need to understand it thoroughly. He just had to experiment and reproduce it in this world in a specific way.

For example, the Bakudō #30: Shitotsu Sansen that he obtained after defeating ”Big Ryota.”

He could already perform it now.

That saved so much time and effort.

After explaining the general theory of the Four Symbols Seal, Kushina looked at Seiryū and asked proudly, ”Seiryū, do you understand?”

There’s no way he really got it after one explanation.

If he did, she’d write her name backward.

From now on, she’d be called Anihsuk

”Uh...” Seiryū only half understood, but as a transmigrator, he had his own interpretation.

He thought for a moment and said, ”Using sealing formulas to construct interconnected, cyclical channels. The circulating and rotating chakra within the formulas creates a kind of ’suction force’ similar to a vortex. That suction is the core of the Four Symbols Seal?”
