Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Looking at Tsunade in silence, Seiryū’s voice became sharp. ”The evidence is conclusive now, you can’t deny it. Pay up quickly. If you can’t, use other things as collateral!”

He was determined to get something useful out of Tsunade today.

”Hmph!”

Tsunade snorted, clearly displeased with the brat’s words.

”What exactly is your scheme, you brat? You’ve said ’use other things as collateral’ several times. Just tell this old lady what you want directly!”

After two years of dealing with each other, she already knew Seiryū’s personality. He never wanted to suffer any loss.

They had been battling wits for a long time, and she didn’t expect to still be outsmarted.

It really infuriated her.

This kid’s scheming ran deep. He was truly insidious.

She had underestimated him.

However, with ”conclusive evidence,” she was still one of the Konoha Sannin. If word got out, it would affect her reputation.

In Konoha, she had always maintained her image. She couldn’t disgrace the Hokage lineage.

”Why didn’t you say so earlier?”

Hearing Tsunade ”give in,” Seiryū immediately chuckled.

He looked Tsunade up and down. Even in pajamas, her figure was undeniable. Fair skin, delicate face—she was truly a rare beauty.

Seiryū nodded and said truthfully, ”It’s simple. I want you.”

”Huh?”

Tsunade thought she had misheard, then her eyes narrowed, and her expression turned unfriendly.

Her hands clenched with a cracking sound. A smile played on her lips, but it was filled with danger. ”Kid, what do you mean by that? Did you really learn bad habits from Jiraiya?”

He wanted her?

Heh... this brat really had guts.

How old was he, and already daring to say such things?

”Don’t misunderstand.”

Seeing Tsunade misinterpret his words, Seiryū pouted and said disdainfully, ”I’m not interested in a Bad Woman who gambles, drinks, has a bad temper, and hits people at the slightest disagreement...”

”Hmm?”

Tsunade cut him off, her expression darkening further. She stared at Seiryū, her voice full of threat. ”What did you say?”

What did he mean?

This brat actually looked down on her?

And even dared to insult her like that?

Seiryū: ”...”

Whether he was interested or not, it was a problem.

”I mean, Tsunade-sama is beautiful and has a good personality, but I’m still too young. If I were to pursue you, I’d need to...”

At this point, Seiryū paused. ”No, that’s not right...”

”I’m the creditor now. Why are you interrupting?”

He glanced at Tsunade, almost led astray by her, nearly revealing his true thoughts.

Seiryū quickly changed the subject, cleared his throat, and said, ”What I mean is, I’m graduating soon, and I want you to be my Jōnin Instructor.”

He was graduating soon.

Seiryū’s biggest concern was naturally the system’s reward.

After that, it was who his Jōnin Instructor would be.

Jiraiya was obviously not an option. Over the past two years, Jiraiya had rarely been in Konoha, always wandering outside in search of the so-called ”Child of Prophecy.”

Minato would also be difficult. The Third Hokage likely had arrangements, and the spot might already be set.

Moreover, Seiryū didn’t want to be separated from Kurenai.

Naturally, he needed to find someone powerful and influential to pull some strings.

After much consideration, Tsunade, who owed him money, was the perfect candidate.

Even if he couldn’t be Tsunade’s direct disciple, being her student would be just fine.

Anyway, he was already considered her student in Medical Ninjutsu.

”No way!”

Hearing this, Tsunade immediately waved her hand in refusal. She wasn’t going to bother with such troublesome matters. ”That kind of thing is too much of a hassle!”

A Jōnin Instructor, a squad leader Jonin, was one of the most annoying jobs. She wasn’t about to take on such a role.

This brat actually had such a plan?

Impossible. Absolutely not.

Her time was precious.

Upon hearing this, Seiryū narrowed his eyes, his tone taking on a hint of threat. ”Tsunade-sama, you wouldn’t want the news of your unpaid debt to spread, would you...?”

”Hehe...”

Tsunade smiled coldly. ”Are you threatening me, you brat?”

”How could I dare? I respect you very much, Bad Woman.”

”If you respected me, you wouldn’t call me ’Bad Woman’!”

”That is my respectful title for you.”

Seiryū replied without shame, then immediately changed his tone to a firm one. ”I don’t care. You have to agree, or I’ll spread the word that you owe money to a nine-year-old, and let all of Konoha see your true nature...”

”You brat, your guts are getting bigger and bigger!”

Tsunade snorted coldly, but her tone lowered slightly. ”Other things are fine, but not this. I’m not suited to be a Jōnin Instructor...”

She did have a good impression of Seiryū, after spending two years with him.

At the very least, whenever she borrowed money, Seiryū never refused. He even proactively paid for her, and carried her home when she was drunk.

If anyone else had called her ’Bad Woman’ this many times, she would’ve punched them already.

However, being a Jōnin Instructor really wasn’t an option, because she had Hemophobia.

She was no longer suitable to lead a team. A Jōnin Instructor needed to deal with blood...

”Not suitable?”

Seiryū frowned, and his quick mind immediately figured something out. He exhaled slowly and said, ”Right. You’re sick, and not just a little bit.”

Tsunade’s reason for refusing to be a Jōnin Instructor should be her Hemophobia.

He had almost forgotten. Tsunade was also sick...

Tsunade: ”...”

This line sounded oddly familiar... What a ridiculous reversal.

Tsunade snorted, clearly not wanting to dwell on it. ”What nonsense are you spouting, brat? How could this old lady be sick?”

”No, you are.”

Seiryū looked at Tsunade calmly, his words clear and serious. ”I am a Medical-nin. If I say you’re sick, then you’re sick.”

”You’re afraid of blood, aren’t you?”

”From now on, I’m going to cure your illness. As a Medical-nin and as your student.”

”Once you’re cured, you can become my Jōnin Instructor.”

Hemophobia had plagued Tsunade until she was inspired by Naruto’s actions in the original story, finally overcoming it.

Which meant it could be cured.

Tsunade was truly sick, but he, Seiryū, was not.

Now Seiryū wanted to cure her Hemophobia so she could become his and Kurenai’s Jōnin Instructor.

”Hahahaha...”

Tsunade burst into laughter.

At first, she found it amusing, but seeing Seiryū’s serious expression, she paused.

She rarely saw such a look on Seiryū’s face.

Tsunade furrowed her brows and asked curiously, ”I do have Hemophobia, but how do you plan to treat me?”

She wasn’t surprised that Seiryū had figured it out.

This kid was too smart.

Two years of interacting with each other meant she understood Seiryū well, and he certainly understood her just as well.

”It’s simple. Just apply a ’heavy dose’ of medicine.”

Seiryū’s tone was calm, but the smile on his lips looked like that of a madman pushed to the edge. ”If you don’t want me to die in front of you, then overcome your Hemophobia, Bad Woman...”

Rip!

Seiryū bent his index finger. His chakra transformed into a sharp Wind Release blade, and he slashed across his neck, severing the carotid artery...

Gush...

Blood, a large amount of blood, gushed out from Seiryū’s neck like a fountain, spraying across the large bed and all over Tsunade’s body.

The warm blood splashed onto her. The crimson color, the thick scent of blood, all stimulated Tsunade’s nerves.

Her body trembled uncontrollably, and so did her voice. ”You... this... madman...”
