Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Kushina and Minato exchanged glances.

Seiryū understood that just from a rough explanation?

”Suction” was indeed the essence of the Four Symbols Seal.

However, the Four Symbols Seal wasn’t that simple. There were deeper layers to it, as the Uzumaki clan’s sealing techniques were notoriously intricate.

The Uzumaki clan was known throughout the ninja world for their sealing arts.

Seiryū paid no attention to anything else. His mind continued racing as he said, ”The Four Symbols Seal isn’t meant to restrict movement. It’s designed to seal chakra. If someone’s chakra is being drawn away and they can’t mobilize it freely, then that means they’re sealed.”

”Moreover, the absorbed chakra should also serve to maintain the operation of the seal.”

”Does the concept of ’circulation’ mean that the target’s chakra can be used to reinforce the seal itself, making it even harder for them to break out?”

Seiryū vaguely remembered that the Eight Trigrams Seal on Naruto was formed from two overlapping Four Symbols Seals.

Naruto could make use of the Nine-Tails’ chakra leaking from within.

In other words, the Four Symbols Seal could utilize the sealed entity’s chakra.

It was a sealing technique that used circulation to trap and suppress.

Circulation was the key!

He had grasped the core principle and essence of the Four Symbols Seal.

”I didn’t say anything wrong, did I?”

After speaking, Seiryū finally looked at the two of them, only to find their expressions a bit odd. He paused. ”Huh? Why do you look like that? Did I get something wrong?”

”No, everything you said is correct.” Kushina snapped back to reality, the shock on her face slowly replaced with suspicion and scrutiny. ”But, Seiryū...”

”Did you already know the principle behind the Four Symbols Seal? Are you messing with me? Tell me!!”

She had reason to be suspicious. Seiryū might have already known the principles of the Four Symbols Seal. No, maybe even other Uzumaki sealing techniques.

It was already confirmed that Seiryū was a descendant of the Uzumaki clan. One of his parents must have been a member who had fled into the outside world.

Maybe he had learned some things from his father or mother before.

Otherwise, how could he clearly explain the core concept of the Four Symbols Seal after hearing just her brief explanation?

He was pretending not to know anything just to mess with her, wasn’t he?

This brat!

Seiryū pouted. ”Why would I mess with you for no reason? I’m not that bored.”

He really didn’t know anything.

After transmigrating, his previous body hadn’t left him many memories. That’s why he wasn’t sure if he truly belonged to the Uzumaki clan.

He could only guess.

As for understanding the Four Symbols Seal, did they really think transmigrators were just for show?

”Didn’t I already say? Geniuses can’t be judged by common sense. I thought you were used to my talent by now... but sigh, you’re still overreacting.”

Seiryū shook his head, continuing to maintain his genius persona. Could someone like him be judged by ordinary standards?

Of course not.

They had to get used to it. Otherwise, when he ”developed” dozens or even hundreds of new ”Ninjutsu” later, would they kneel on the ground shouting his name— Sage Seiryū?

Too dramatic!

Seeing Kushina still looking at him suspiciously, Seiryū pouted. ”What? You still don’t believe me?”

Kushina crossed her arms, sizing him up. ”What do you think?”

She still thought Seiryū was teasing her. How could such a genius exist?

She didn’t believe it.

Today, she was going to get to the bottom of it.

Seiryū sighed. ”Alas, Kushina-nee, you just don’t understand what a real genius is.”

”I originally planned to get along with you as a normal genius, but all I got was doubt. Fine, I won’t pretend anymore. I’ll lay my cards on the table!”

”When it comes to sealing techniques, I’m an absolute genius. In just this short time, I’ve already developed a new type of sealing technique!”

To prevent them from freaking out too much later, Seiryū decided to show off a little.

”Hahaha~” Kushina held her stomach and burst into laughter, tears almost coming out. ”You brat definitely have talent, but it’s in comedy! You’re so funny, Seiryū!”

She wasn’t mocking him. She genuinely found him hilarious.

He developed a new sealing technique?

How long had Seiryū been learning sealing techniques?

At most, a little over three months.

He had only grasped a few basic techniques, and his chakra reserves didn’t even allow him to unleash their full power yet.

And now he claimed to have developed a new one?

Could he be any funnier?

She admitted she was entertained.

As a shinobi, she had strict training. No matter how funny something was, she wouldn’t laugh.

Unless she couldn’t help it...

Minato was also strictly trained, but he didn’t laugh. His expression was serious.

Not because he was holding back.

It was because, judging by Seiryū’s serious tone, he suspected Seiryū wasn’t joking at all.

That was truly shocking.

He had no reason to doubt Seiryū’s talent.

The Rasengan had been developed so smoothly thanks to Seiryū’s idea.

Even the Great Ball Rasengan, a variation born from shape transformation, was his concept, and it had succeeded.

But sealing techniques were different from the Rasengan.

Creating a new sealing technique was far more difficult than modifying a Ninjutsu.

He had been able to develop the A-rank Rasengan based on the Tailed Beast Ball, but even he wasn’t confident in developing a new sealing technique just from the few Kushina had taught...

The difficulty was simply on another level.

”...” Seiryū was speechless at Kushina’s wild laughter.

That laugh was way too loud. It almost sounded like a pig squealing.

Couldn’t she be a little more reserved?

As expected, the soft giggles of gentle girls like Kurenai and Rin were much more pleasant...

”I hope Kushina-nee can still laugh in a moment...”

Seiryū muttered. After all, he was quite skilled at face-slapping and showing off.

Transmigrators didn’t need to study. It came naturally, like a built-in cheat.

Forming a single hand sign, Seiryū stepped up to Kushina, gathered chakra on his fingertip, and pointed out. ”Bakudō #1: Sai!”

Dark sealing formulas extended from Seiryū’s fingertip.

”Hmm?”

Kushina didn’t dodge. She immediately sensed something strange.

The dark script spread to her wrists and ankles, and a peculiar binding force appeared.

It was a low-level sealing technique, a very basic application of sealing formulas.

It was indeed something she had never seen before.

Though it was a bit weak, and she broke free with a light effort.

But even that was enough to surprise her.

Seiryū was telling the truth!?

Seiryū didn’t stop. He formed another hand sign and swung his right hand down. ”Bakudō #30: Shitotsu Sansen!”

Chii! Chii! Chii!

Golden light flared, forming three sharp spear-like beams of chakra, which struck Kushina’s left arm, right arm, and waist... pinning her to the large tree behind her.
