Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Guy’s training intensity was indeed very high.

Starting right off with a twenty-kilometer long-distance run—who could endure that?

Seiryū couldn’t help but realize once again that the Eight Gates technique was not something an ordinary person could cultivate... This was Training Ground Two.

”Hoo... hoo...” Kakashi, having run twenty kilometers in one go, was completely out of breath, his lungs feeling ready to burst.

Sweat poured down like a waterfall, and his clothes were drenched... Looking at Guy, who was also panting but clearly much less strained than he was, Kakashi’s eyes were filled with shock: ”Guy, is this the intensity you train at every single day?”

He had to be surprised; this level of training was terrifying.

Could training this intensely really not cause damage to the body?

More importantly, Guy said this was just his routine daily warm-up... Daily!

Does it have to be this exaggerated?

”Uh...” Guy couldn’t understand why Kakashi was so surprised. He just scratched his head and said, ”Yeah, but I couldn’t run twenty kilometers in one go at first either. I gradually built up to it.”

Ever since he became a student at the Ninja Academy, he had been training with his father, rain or shine, without a single day off.

Kakashi fell silent.

He had underestimated Guy. With this level of determination, the other party would definitely be a formidable opponent in the future!

He inexplicably felt pressure coming from Guy!

Next, Kakashi looked at Seiryū, who was standing beside him and only slightly panting, and couldn’t help but ask, ”You haven’t been doing this kind of training regularly too, have you? How come you look so relaxed?”

After running twenty kilometers, Seiryū’s performance was similar to Guy’s; his breathing was only slightly heavier, and a little sweat streamed down his forehead.

He was nowhere near as disheveled as Kakashi was!

Seriously, what is up with you guys?

”Your stamina is really good, Seiryū!” Guy was also a little curious. Judging by Seiryū’s running form, he was clearly someone who ran often, but to have this kind of stamina...

It took him months of continuous training to achieve this level of stamina, allowing him to run twenty kilometers without collapsing... Surely a genius couldn’t have a completely different body structure than the rest of them?

”No, this is my first time training at such a high intensity,” Seiryū shook his head. In this life and the last, this was the first time he had run twenty kilometers in one go.

It was only because of his special constitution that he wasn’t as exhausted as Kakashi, but he was still extremely tired.

Pausing, Seiryū continued, ”However, my constitution is a bit special. I am a descendant of the Uzumaki Clan.”

If others assumed he belonged to the Uzumaki Clan, then he would be.

It didn’t really make a difference.

Strong vitality and large Chakra reserves were the notable characteristics of the Uzumaki Clan, and he possessed these traits too.

Being another redhead, people would give the red hair credit and assume he was a member of the Uzumaki Clan!

”The Uzumaki Clan?”

Kakashi and Guy were both confused, clearly having never heard the term before... Kakashi said, ”Do they have a special constitution like the Hyūga and Uchiha?”

He hadn’t heard of the Uzumaki Clan, but since they were referred to as a ”Clan,” they must be a family with a special constitution, just like the Uchiha and Hyūga!

Guy opened his mouth: ”Do geniuses really have different body structures than us?”

Could his hypothesis be true? Was Seiryū’s body structure different from that of ordinary people like them?

That’s just too unfair!

”The body structure is the same, we’re all human...” Seiryū gave Guy a strange look. That line of reasoning was even more eccentric than his own.

He might act inhuman, but he wasn’t literally non-human.

Then he explained again: ”It is indeed similar to the Hyūga and Uchiha. They were once a powerful Ninja Clan, but the Uzumaki Clan does not possess a Bloodline Limit like the Byakugan or Sharingan.”

Seiryū used his fingers to illustrate the point: ”It’s just that their vitality, Chakra reserves, and recovery ability are only slightly stronger than those of ordinary people.”

There was nothing particularly special; at most, their vitality, Chakra reserves, and recovery ability were slightly stronger than ordinary people. To put it simply, they just had a stronger constitution.

”...”

Kakashi and Guy fell silent.

They might be young, but they weren’t fools.

They naturally understood the implications of having stronger vitality, Chakra reserves, and recovery ability than ordinary people.

This was an innate advantage that could not be overcome, no matter how hard one trained later in life.

They might now know some of the reasons why Seiryū’s talent was so formidable.

Of course, Seiryū must also have practiced diligently.

Without hard training, even possessing a special constitution wouldn’t make one this powerful—that was a truth even children understood.

The pressure on them grew even greater.

Seiryū had better talent than them, a better constitution than them, and still trained so diligently. He was truly inhuman!

”Guy, Seiryū, Kakashi, are you training? What a wonderful display of youth! I am so moved!” A youthful voice arrived. Might Duy, just as before, came here preparing to train with his son.

He ended up seeing his son’s two friends and rivals.

He knew Seiryū, the top student at the Ninja Academy, and Kakashi, the second-ranked student, having heard his son mention them frequently.

He was surprised and also pleased. These children today were truly the embodiment of youth. He was so touched that tears were about to flow... Seiryū, Kakashi: ”...”

Guy flashed a brilliant white smile at his father: ”Father, Seiryū and Kakashi wanted to train with us, and I already agreed!”

”That’s wonderful! Youth must not be wasted!” Might Duy naturally wouldn’t refuse. In fact, he was quite excited. Seeing these vibrant children, he felt youthful again.

He said with enthusiasm, ”Let me train with you! My blood is boiling too! My youth is not over yet!!”

Guy’s eyes filled with tears: ”Father, you are forever young!”

The other two: ”...”

The next hour or so was spent in high-intensity training. The sun had set, and night was approaching... ”They’re too relentless. I still underestimated their training intensity...” Relying on his special constitution, Seiryū barely managed to hold on, but he could feel his body struggling to cope.

This was the first time he had felt this kind of exhaustion.

The Might father and son duo were too dedicated and showed no sign of stopping yet.

This kind of training was clearly unscientific; the burden and damage to the body were too great. How could an ordinary person’s constitution handle it?

It would leave irreversible damage to the body!

He would need to remind them later... As for Kakashi, who had already expended a huge amount of physical and mental energy on the twenty-kilometer run, he declared himself incapable of continuing after less than an hour of subsequent training.

He had collapsed from exhaustion... This was normal. It would be impossible to sustain such high-intensity training on the first try without a special constitution, and Kakashi probably wouldn’t feel great tomorrow either...
