Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Ninja Hospital.

After receiving the news, Shinku rushed over. He looked at Seiryū and asked anxiously, ”Seiryū, what happened?”

”A member of the Uchiha Clan ambushed me after school, and then…”

Seiryū briefly explained the general course of events.

In short, a member of the Uchiha Clan used verbal provocation, arrogance, and malicious behavior, intending to harm him and Kurenai.

In the end, his strength was insufficient and he was defeated by Seiryū.

Because of Seiryū’s past, where his parents died at the hands of rogue ninja, he tended to overreact when faced with danger, causing him to strike a bit too hard. That was roughly the explanation.

Seiryū said that due to his lack of combat experience and his tragic past, he was unable to precisely control his strength.

The reasoning was clear and well supported.

Moreover, battles between ninja were inherently dangerous.

The fault was not his.

He felt completely justified.

Seeing her father arrive, Kurenai finally felt reassured. She ran over and tearfully complained, ”Father, that guy was too hateful. He actually wanted Seiryū to crawl between his legs. That’s absolutely awful.”

She was still just a child, so after experiencing something like this, it was only natural for her to panic.

That person’s injuries were extremely severe, and Seiryū was the one who caused them.

…

Shinku patted Kurenai’s back to comfort her.

His expression, however, grew grim, especially after hearing about forcing Seiryū to crawl between someone’s legs. That remark filled him with anger.

This was no longer simple childish conflict. It carried clear malice and hidden intentions.

That person wanted to crush Seiryū’s confidence and spirit, completely ruining a genius.

Such behavior was truly despicable.

”It’s fine. I will report this matter to Hokage-sama.”

Suppressing his anger, Shinku said to Seiryū, ”You don’t need to worry. No one can do anything to you.”

He did not believe Seiryū would twist the facts or exaggerate the situation.

That was not Seiryū’s character, and he trusted him.

Seiryū shrugged. ”I’m not worried. I believe Hokage-sama will give me justice.”

He truly was not worried.

What was there to worry about?

He was Jiraiya’s disciple, a disciple of the Third Hokage’s disciple, carried Uzumaki Clan bloodline, and belonged to the direct Hokage lineage. All of this meant he had backing.

Becoming Jiraiya’s disciple had many advantages.

Clatter.

Suddenly, a commotion arose. Several people walked over, wearing the fan-shaped clan crest of the Uchiha Clan.

Leading them was an elderly man with short white hair. The right half of his face was covered by an iron mask, and he wore a high-collared black robe.

His gaze was sharp, like an eagle’s.

As his eyes swept across the area, no one dared meet his gaze. The old tiger’s might remained undiminished.

The old man’s sharp eyes quickly locked onto Seiryū and lingered on him, causing his brows to furrow slightly.

Clearly, he already knew roughly what had happened.

The person who reported the incident had given him a general account.

He simply had not expected the person involved to be so young.

That single glance placed immense pressure on Seiryū, making him frown inwardly.

This man’s presence was overwhelming.

A completely unfamiliar face. Seiryū had no memory of him.

Yet with such presence, he was clearly someone of great status and strength.

Seiryū could not help but speculate.

The former head of the Uchiha Clan?

As far as Seiryū knew, the position of Uchiha Clan Head was not hereditary, but chosen based on ability.

The current Clan Head was Uchiha Fugaku.

However, the previous Clan Head had never appeared in the original work.

Could it be this sharp-eyed old man?

Seeing this elder, Shinku’s expression darkened slightly.

”Uchiha Setsuna. It’s actually him…”

He recognized the man. A high-ranking member of the Uchiha Clan, and also an elder within the clan.

Uchiha Setsuna.

Hearing Shinku’s murmur, Seiryū repeated the name in his mind.

Uchiha Setsuna. The name sounded familiar.

With a quick thought, his mind connected the dots, and his brows tightened slightly.

The ruthless man who once attempted to assassinate the Second Hokage?

Wasn’t Uchiha Setsuna the one who plotted the assassination of the Second Hokage and was imprisoned after failing?

This old man was still alive?

No, something was off.

Uchiha Setsuna was a high-ranking figure in the Uchiha Clan. Why would he personally appear here?

Don’t tell me that after beating the younger one, the older one had come?

Seiryū felt a slight headache.

Uchiha Setsuna was ruthless enough to attempt assassinating the Second Hokage. If Ryosuke was close to him, it could cause some trouble.

But not much.

Just a defeated dog that could not stir up anything.

His backing came from the Hokage lineage.

…

After staring at Seiryū for a moment, Uchiha Setsuna withdrew his gaze.

He directly ignored Shinku, who was only an ordinary Jonin.

Walking to the Ninja Hospital reception desk, he said coldly to the Medical Ninja, ”What is the condition of Ryosuke?”

The Medical Ninja, pressured by that sharp gaze, immediately felt overwhelmed. With trembling hands, he handed over the examination report.

Uchiha Setsuna took the report and scanned it. His eyes instantly narrowed.

As his emotions fluctuated, his dark eyes transformed into scarlet Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

”Perforated scapula. Perforated right thigh. Comminuted fracture of the left lower leg…”

Uchiha Setsuna’s voice was calm, yet filled with suppressed rage.

His favored grandson had suffered such severe injuries.

A comminuted fracture.

Even in Konoha, where Medical Ninjutsu was top-tier, this kind of injury was difficult to fully heal. Even if healed, it could leave severe aftereffects, possibly making him unfit to remain a ninja.

”Very well.”

Uchiha Setsuna suppressed the fury in his heart. He turned his gaze, and his sinister Three-Tomoe Sharingan locked onto Seiryū, the one responsible, as he walked over step by step.

His voice was calm, but icy.

”To be so ruthless at such a young age. You truly grasp the essence of being a ninja. But you went too far.”

So ruthless at such a young age.

More importantly, he had defeated his favored grandson at this age.

A remarkable genius had appeared in Konoha.

But one who stood in opposition to the Uchiha Clan.

The cold words and oppressive aura placed immense pressure on Seiryū as well.

”Elder Setsuna…” Shinku stepped forward, placing himself in front of Seiryū. Facing Setsuna directly, he also felt tremendous pressure.

But he could not retreat.

He was the guardian, the parent.

Shinku took a deep breath and spoke carefully, ”This is not Seiryū’s fault. He…”

Before he could finish, Setsuna swept his Three-Tomoe Sharingan over him and spoke coldly.

”I was not speaking to you.”
