Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Seeing the two of them, Seiryū was very surprised and couldn’t help but think, That fast? I only mentioned it yesterday, and Tsunade’s already back in the village today?

He had only brought up finding Tsunade yesterday to check on Minato. Now Tsunade had already returned to the village?

Who was so capable?

Well, it definitely couldn’t be his unreliable Sensei.

It had to be a coincidence.

Tsunade must have just happened to return to the village at this time.

Seiryū remembered that although Tsunade often wandered outside in the original story, she would occasionally return to the village. The events in Minato’s Tale were proof.

Judging by the time Minato developed the Rasengan, this pretty much lined up with the events in Minato’s Tale.

Tsunade, the mature woman, subconsciously looked at Seiryū, glanced at his red hair, then stared at his face and chuckled. ”Is this the Seiryū you mentioned? He really is a pretty little guy…”

Just now, she had heard about Seiryū from Minato and Kushina.

Now seeing him in person, he really was just as good-looking as Kushina had said.

’Tsunade-sama’s right!’ The young girl Shizune also looked over, though she seemed a bit shy.

She didn’t dare look directly at Seiryū, only stealing a few glances.

In her heart, she agreed with Tsunade’s comment.

This guy really was good-looking!

It wasn’t that Seiryū disliked being complimented for his looks. He just hated being called ”pretty.”

So he emphasized, ”Beautiful Onee-chan, ’pretty’ is used for girls.”

”If you want to compliment me, please use ’handsome.’ Thank you.”

He wasn’t a girl. If they were going to praise his looks, they should at least get the word right.

Tsunade couldn’t help but laugh. ”What a glib little brat.”

As a woman, and a good-looking one at that, she enjoyed being complimented too.

It was human nature.

Besides, this brat had a way with words.

Smooth, but not annoying.

Because he was just a child. A good-looking child.

If Jiraiya had said something like this to her, she would have punched him without hesitation.

Where did this kid learn such greasy talk?

It was disgusting coming from adults, but kind of cute coming from a kid.

People are just hypocritical…

Kushina already knew Seiryū’s personality, and she pouted. ”This kid probably recognized you, so he’s laying it on thick. This brat is very shrewd. He didn’t even want to call me ’Sister’ before!”

Seiryū: ”...”

Why are you exposing me like that?

”Oh? Is that so?” Tsunade narrowed her eyes and looked at Seiryū, a smile playing on her lips. ”Little guy, is what Kushina said true?”

Seiryū didn’t deny it. He replied seriously, ”It’s true I recognized Tsunade-sama. As for flattery, that’s Kushina-nee misunderstanding me. I’m not flattering. These are genuine words from the heart. Tsunade-sama really is very beautiful!”

He was being honest. No falsehoods.

Beauty was justice. And big—was another layer of justice. Compared to the manga from his past life, seeing Tsunade in real life truly shocked him.

Flattery?

Ridiculous!

Minato had a strange expression. He didn’t think Kushina misunderstood anything.

Kushina twitched her lips. And he says it’s not flattery?

The cute young girl Shizune blinked as she watched Seiryū. She felt like he was a sincere person and probably easy to get along with!

Tsunade was amused. ”He really is an interesting little guy!”

Seiryū stopped pursuing the topic and turned his attention to Minato’s health. ”Tsunade-sama, you came to check on my Senpai’s injuries, right? His body, there’s no problem, is there?”

Hearing this, Tsunade waved her hand. ”Nothing serious. He just needs some rest.”

She had returned to the village last night, met with Hiruzen in the morning, and then rushed to the Ninja Hospital after hearing about Minato’s injury.

Speaking of which, she hadn’t even had breakfast yet. She noticed the food Seiryū brought... and felt a bit hungry.

Seiryū trusted Tsunade’s judgment as the strongest Medical-nin. ”That’s good.”

His Senpai’s kidneys were safe.

Definitely worth celebrating.

Seiryū didn’t forget his original purpose and handed over the packed ramen. Ramen didn’t keep well and would turn mushy if left too long. ”By the way, Senpai, Kushina-nee, this is the ramen I brought you. It’s really good. It should be a kind of medicinal food that helps with physical recovery.”

Minato smiled gently. ”Thank you, but Kushina and I already ate…”

Kushina looked at the meal box in Seiryū’s hand. ”Ramen? I’m not hungry right now…”

Seiryū felt it was a shame. ”Then you’re missing out. Kurenai made this carefully. It tastes really great!”

As a Medical-nin, Tsunade was very interested in the so-called medicinal cuisine Seiryū mentioned. Plus, neither she nor Shizune had eaten breakfast yet and were a bit hungry.

So she said, ”Little guy, can Shizune and I eat this medicinal food? We haven’t had breakfast yet, and it’d be a waste otherwise.”

The young girl Shizune also looked over. She was hungry too and had originally planned to go out to eat with Tsunade.

Seiryū had no objections. Food shouldn’t be wasted. ”Of course, as long as you and Tsunade-sama don’t mind.”

Saying this, Seiryū handed over the ramen. ”Then we won’t be polite!”

Tsunade didn’t stand on ceremony either. Not wanting to waste food, she took the meal box Seiryū handed over. As she opened it, the black-colored soup made her pause. ”Hmm? Why is it this color?”

She leaned in and sniffed with her small nose, catching a distinct smell… soldier pill? ”???”

Tsunade started doubting her own sense of smell.

But as the top Medical-nin, she was very familiar with the scent of a soldier pill. She couldn’t possibly mistake it.

However, smelling a soldier pill in a bowl of ramen… that just didn’t feel right no matter how she looked at it.

Uncertain, Tsunade looked at Seiryū suspiciously and asked, ”What did you add to this?”

Seiryū answered honestly, ”Soldier pill!”

The four people present: ”???”

Huh?

Did they hear that right?

Ramen with soldier pill added?

This was medicinal cuisine?

Tsunade repeated the question to confirm, ”Soldier pill?”

Seiryū nodded seriously. ”Yes, soldier pill!”

Afraid they’d think it was some kind of dark cuisine, Seiryū added, ”This isn’t dark cuisine. It really tastes good. I personally like it a lot. Tsunade, you should try it. I highly recommend it!”

”Is that so?”

Although Tsunade felt it was suspicious, the combination of ramen and soldier pill was just too bizarre.

But looking at Seiryū’s sincere expression—he seemed even more serious than when he called her beautiful—it didn’t look like he was lying.

Could it be that combining soldier pills with ramen really produced some kind of chemical reaction?

Or maybe there was some special preparation method that made it delicious?

Her curiosity was piqued.

”I’ll believe you for now.”

Tsunade picked up the disposable chopsticks, took a bite of the ramen, and immediately, the bitter taste of the soldier pill’s medicinal ingredients filled her mouth…

If spitting it out wouldn’t ruin her image, she definitely would have.

Enduring the weird taste, she swallowed the ramen, quietly put down her chopsticks, and stared at Seiryū with a forced smile. Her beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, filled with cold light.

”Hehehe, kid, you really did a number on me. How dare you trick me!?”

This taste… words couldn’t even describe it.

Was this really something edible?

She had every reason to believe Seiryū was messing with her. This brat had guts!
