Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Hei Kongkong observes every movement of Wan Huawen from mid-air, leaving behind a surveillance magic, hoping to gather some intelligence from Wan Huawen’s actions before leaving completely.

Wan Huawen takes a few steps forward holding a stone and throws it far towards Hei Kongkong but fails to hit him as Hei Kongkong is flying too far away.

Turning around helplessly, Wan Huawen sees Wan Ze approaching. Rather than giving any praise, he angrily tears off a piece of his black cloak and wraps it around Wan Ze.

Afterward, Wan Huawen and his men clear away the debris of the Demon Clan’s wagons, throwing the bodies of several dead demons onto the wagon without looking back and continue driving forward.

Memorizing all the scenes, Hei Kongkong lands in a remote area and reunites with the Demon Clan scouts who also escaped.

The leopard roars and transforms back into human form, Yaobang lowers his head, apologizing:

”I’m sorry.

A moment ago, I was only thinking about how to dodge him and didn’t realize there was such a trap hidden in his words.”

Hei Kongkong raises his hand without hesitation, ready to slap, but stops before hitting Yaobang’s face.

Suppressing the anger inside, Hei Kongkong can’t hide his remorse:

”We should have been more careful.

Completely treated them as ordinary passersby...

That’s what made you relax your vigilance.

However, some of what they said must have been true, otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to eliminate our wariness.

Not stopping you from speaking further, I also share the blame.

Let’s consider this a lesson this time.

Next time, we absolutely must be more cautious.”

Yaobang nods, feeling an unspoken frustration inside:

”What should we do now?

The plan has been completely disrupted by them, there’s no way to go back and report.

They seem to have intricate ties with Ming Dalak, otherwise, they wouldn’t have used such a method to probe us.

They’re likely to pass this information to Ming Dalak soon...

If they relocate the capital again...”

”They probably won’t relocate the capital so quickly.

Moving a country’s administrative center from one place to another is costly and labor-intensive.

According to that messenger soldier, the country’s governor prepared another office location to prevent the demons from attacking the capital first.

They must have spent considerable time making that place barely suitable for office operations.

Some important races have already started migrating, and the teleportation point seems to be set somewhere here.

Gather intelligence in other cities, maybe there’ll be some clues.” Hei Kongkong quickly rallies.

Yaobang scratches his head: ”So how should we report to Lord Ammonval?”

Hei Kongkong stated decisively: ”Report truthfully.”

Afterward, the two Demon Clan officials use various methods to search for any hints.

They report everything that happened on the Sailuomen Plain truthfully to Ammonval.

Ammonval passes all this information unreservedly to the Demon King:

”...Lord Demon King.

This is the situation.

The scouts I sent were pursued later on the Sailuomen Plain.

The beastmen have sensitive noses; only by sprinkling special powders along the path can the traces be hidden.

Now, those powders are running low...

The information they could send back is only this.

Lord Demon King, should I continue with the original plan or...”

The Deceitful Emperor on the crystal ball detailed his thoughts.

Ammonval suddenly widened his eyes, muttering to himself: ”Is this possible?”

Subsequently, the Demon King gives Ammonval new instructions.

Ammonval, with a stern face, accepts the Demon King’s instructions.

At a suitable time, Ammonval advances to the front of the army and formally announces to the troops the following plan:

”Warriors listen!

Everything that the fox beastman revealed that day is true!

The vile humans of this world not only bombarded our signal tower, causing us significant losses but also plan to deceive us, making us exhausted, intending to launch a surprise attack when we’re utterly weary.

Our ancestors favor us.

Their plan is inadvertently exposed before us, allowing us to see through their despicable acts.

No matter what they do, it’s entirely futile! Even if they use all their tricks, they cannot stop the tide of history; Lord Demon King will ultimately conquer this world!

The army awaits orders!

Now, follow me and change the attack route towards the Sailuomen Plain to snuff out their hopes completely and let them witness our strength!

The cannons they built are ultimately just ornaments, and the hope they believe in is nothing but an illusion!”

Ammonval’s impassioned speech inspires countless Demon soldiers, who raise their weapons, cheering resoundingly.

Riding at the very front of the army, Ammonval mounts a gigantic flame rhinoceros and decisively changes the original route, heading straight toward the Sailuomen Plain.

No long after, this news reaches Yang Yu and the others.

Ming Dalak, within the crystal ball, wears a tired face but reveals a smile; if this news is true, even if Yang Yu and the others can’t defeat Ammonval, Baihua City will have considerable buffer time.

”Governor, although I don’t wish to deflate your confidence, our battle is just beginning.

Whether they’ll follow the route we anticipate needs observation.

This performance isn’t over yet.”

Ming Dalak restrains his smile: ”I know.

Some people will unknowingly get swept into this performance.

They’re fighting with their real lives.

I’ll coordinate everything.

Please oversee the situation there and think carefully about strategies to deal with Ammonval.”

”I’ll do my utmost. And please, Governor Ming Dalak, stay vigilant for unexpected situations that might arise later.”

Yang Yu, not much for words, casually chats a bit more with Ming Dalak before cutting off communication, looking towards Wan Huawen, who arrived at East View City just recently.

To maintain the performance’s authenticity, this Blood Lion family head truly brought some of his clansmen here and even openly disbanded many disciples from the Daoist School.

This time, he truly owes Wan Huawen a huge favor.

Seeing Yang Yu, Wan Huawen doesn’t immediately ask about the upcoming battle plan but instead bursts out with his question:

”You’re communicating with the Governor? Didn’t I see the Governor in the city? Why go to such lengths?”

”Well...”

Yang Yu doesn’t know where to start explaining.
