Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

With a long sigh, the sparks exhaled vanished in mid-air as Ammonval raised the Magic Wand in his hand.

A crimson arc sprang from the tip of the Magic Wand into the sky, bursting into a beautiful firework, the rhythmic bam sound spreading across the battlefield.

In the distance, Bai Jin could sense that the magic Ammonval unleashed lacked any attack power.

Such a grand and dazzling magic was signaling something to the troops.

Deciphering the signal hidden in the bam sound, the Demon Clan Officer immediately gave orders to the troops:

”Retreat!”

The Demon King Army, which had just been launching a fierce attack, immediately changed direction, retreating while fighting.

Ammonval turned his head, the flames on the burning helmet blazing upward.

He swung his saber, and a massive wall of fire soared, weaving a staircase of flames.

Ammonval stepped onto the fiery staircase, wielding his Magic Wand, and the flame staircase sprouted two wings, quickly transforming into a four-winged flame pegasus.

Yang Yu locked eyes with Ammonval, whose gaze showed no regret, the flame pegasus flapped its wings, neighing fiercely.

Putting the nearly shattered [Shadow Blue Shattered Ice] into the System, Yang Yu pulled out an Epic Shield of lesser quality, saying to Lotcar not far away:

”Lotcar, help with the defense!”

Concise and to the point, Yang Yu swung the Sword Blade in place, unleashing [Sky-shattering Dragon Roar].

Just leaving the dueling circle, Bai Jin also realized that Ammonval intended to escape.

The Steel Eagle that flew to his front must have told him something!

Ammonval must not escape easily!

Ammonval had seen through their identities; if left unchecked, it would be hard to act against him next time.

Sadly, demons who can become cadres are remarkable, with unique combat styles.

To force Iyas and Qiuye to reduce the number of Demon Clan cadres within a short timeframe was indeed too much.

Bai Jin and Yang Yu needed to buy more time for them.

Once they were available, they could surround Ammonval and execute an annihilation.

While combating Ammonval, Bai Jin applied several prerequisite Skills of [Dancing in the Air], and as Ammonval produced a pegasus, she completed the release of [Dancing in the Air].

Removing the bandage from [Sigh Seed], Bai Jin soared skyward, numerous Magic Arrays gleaming in front of her, spraying countless thin winds.

Standing up from the flame pegasus that was flapping its wings to fly away, Ammonval simultaneously swung the black tachi and long saber.

The black slashes and blazing flames cut through the sky, dispersing Bai Jin’s magic.

Despite Ammonval’s reduced strength due to the side effects of [Burning Stars Six-pointed Battle] and [Temperature Increase], cutting through such a level of magic was still a cinch for him.

After dispelling Bai Jin’s Magic, Ammonval manipulated a Long Spear of fire, charging forward with all his might.

A slew of fiery Long Spears emerged from thin air, piercing like fine rain through the Wansheng Republican Army attempting to pursue the Demon King Army.

In a mere instant, Ammonval created ample operational space for his troops.

As in the battle against the Luo Ze Empire, the retreating Demon King Army deliberately left rear-guard troops behind.

The Demon Soldiers responsible for rear-guard duty seemed fearless of death, drinking Potions with significant side effects, causing their figures and attributes to swell several times over, recklessly hindering the pursuing troops.

Several berserk Demon Soldiers received orders to pounce toward Yang Yu, who was releasing [Sky-shattering Dragon Roar].

Lotcar’s massive form clashed with the detestable Demon Soldiers, the crashing sound was deafening.

Yang Yu inhaled and exhaled, unaffected by the surrounding battle, gradually completing the release of [Sky-shattering Dragon Roar].

Ammonval also observed Yang Yu’s actions. Despite Yang Yu appearing full of openings, he made no effort to slow down and attack Yang Yu, not even casting a Remote Magic.

Ammonval reminded himself that he must refrain from indulging in the battlefield fight; Yang Yu’s maneuvers might very well be a trap. Since Black Diamond Lorne of the [Iron Steel Dragon] scolded him like that, the top priority now was to leave promptly and plan further.

Yang Yu completed the preparations for [Sky-shattering Dragon Roar] without mishap, and the Skill began to cast.

Yet, Yang Yu didn’t feel a bit of joy.

Ammonval’s indifference indicated his firm resolution to escape.

Whether they can stop him was a big question. If they can’t, then Yang Yu and the others would have to run.

Yang Yu climbed onto Lotcar’s back, and Lotcar, understanding his intent, rammed through all obstructing Demon Soldiers, rushing toward Ammonval.

Various Magic Types were being cast continuously, yet Bai Jin’s magic was effortlessly dissolved by Ammonval, rendering it impossible to confine him with Magic.

Yang Yu looked ahead, and as the progress on the Skill bar reached the end, many golden glass pieces formed in the air, spreading out toward Ammonval.

With a forceful push off, leaping from Lotcar’s back, Yang Yu landed steadily on a piece of golden glass, using it to propel himself, soaring into the sky.

Crimson pierced his palm, coating the Sword Blade with orange as Yang Yu lunged it toward Ammonval’s chest:

”Aren’t you reputed as invincible in battle? Why are you so quick to flee?”

Blocking Yang Yu’s blade with a Short Spear, Ammonval glared at him:

”Battles that break the rules have no meaning to continue! I won’t fall for your tricks!”

With a twist of his wrist, Ammonval trapped Yang Yu’s Sword Blade, his Sharp tachi slicing toward Yang Yu’s head.

A slender golden glass appeared beneath Yang Yu’s feet, propelling him backward, Ammonval’s long saber glancing past Yang Yu’s cheek.

Ammonval wielded the long saber with one hand, slashing fiercely at Yang Yu’s abdomen; Yang Yu ducked, raising his Shield to block Ammonval’s attack, repelled to the edge of the golden glass.

Taking the opportunity, Ammonval drove the pegasus, flapping its wings, accelerating suddenly, distancing himself from Yang Yu.

Several thick golden glass panes materialized in front of Ammonval, which he effortlessly shattered using the black tachi in his hand.

Stepping onto new golden glass, Yang Yu rapidly advanced in the air, swiftly closing in on Ammonval again.

Breaking out from the flame circle Ammonval laid, Yang Yu demonstrated his true Speed.

Bai Jin’s Magic and Yang Yu’s Attack approached, a flame engulfed Ammonval, creating a [Molten Rock Shield].

After enduring significant damage, the [Molten Rock Shield] slowly solidified, spraying countless scorching rocks, scattering onto the golden glass Yang Yu crafted.

Amidst the scorching rocks, Yang Yu maneuvered nimbly, exploiting gaps.

”[Taunt].”

Purposely slowing down, Yang Yu glared hard at Ammonval, whose body, affected by [Taunt], involuntarily lunged toward Yang Yu.

At that moment, a gleaming Light Arrow sliced through the sky, darting toward Ammonval’s chest.

Noticing the Demon King Army’s unrest and Ammonval’s swift escape, others also realized the Demon King Army started withdrawing.

Iyas found a safe place, relentlessly drawing the Longbow, employing [Seeking Opportunity in Vulnerability].
