Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Ammonval possesses the ability to recover in flames.

Yang Yu’s battle with Ammonval generated countless small flame slashes.

Some of the flame slashes, after a series of bounces, collided with Ammonval’s body, blossoming like fireworks on him, completely absorbed by the flames.

Yang Yu can see that after Ammonval absorbs the bounced-back flame slashes, his stamina, life value, and magic power all recover slightly.

Although the amount of recovery isn’t much, in every clash, copious flames always fall from Ammonval’s long sword, transforming into flame slashes under the command of the magic wand and shooting all around.

Even without intentionally manipulating the flying flame slashes with the magic wand, this terrifying recovery ability is enough to give Yang Yu a hard time.

At least, it keeps Bai Jin spending most of her time clearing away the scattered flame slashes, leaving little time to interfere with his battle with Ammonval.

Bai Jin sends a telepathic message just as Yang Yu is freed from the negative effects of ’Breaking Cauldrons and Sinking Boats.’

Without hesitation, Yang Yu asks Bai Jin to temporarily halt other magic and prioritize casting ’Healing Forbidden’ on Ammonval, restricting his recovery, and also ’Weapon Corrosion’ to reduce Ammonval’s weapon damage.

Two purple beams of light tear through the sky in succession, passing through the swiftly evaporating steam.

Ammonval, sensing the incoming magic, swings his black tachi to split the approaching magic into two, continuing to suppress Yang Yu.

Yang Yu lowers his stance, infusing the ground with the power of blood, creating a vast deceleration field, then, with a ghostly figure, once again bypasses Ammonval’s long sword, braving the scorching flames, entering the range of his other arm.

Raising his eyes, glaring fiercely at Ammonval, Yang Yu activates his skill:

”[Taunt]!”

In an instant, Ammonval’s arm holding the black tachi involuntarily slashes towards Yang Yu.

Yang Yu raises his sword blade, steadily blocking Ammonval’s black tachi, and the shield holds off the heavy hammer that follows.

Under Yang Yu’s cover, Bai Jin’s two curse magic spells land accurately on Ammonval.

Ammonval shouts, trying to dispel the abnormal status on himself, but to no avail.

Aware of his own condition, Ammonval knows the approximate effect of Bai Jin’s magic.

Since the impact of the two skills on his strength is negligible, Ammonval simply ignores the two curse spells Bai Jin cast on him and continues to launch attacks at Yang Yu.

Even though Yang Yu asked Bai Jin to apply ’Healing Forbidden’ on Ammonval, reducing his recovery by half.

The flying flames continuously boost Ammonval’s blood volume.

As long as Yang Yu dares to pause slightly, the damage his previous attacks caused can be completely undone.

No wonder Ammonval is so confident, facing the two’s siege without a trace of fear.

Is this his true strength?

If it’s not possible to eliminate him with a burst or suppress him long enough with greater strength, having five weapons allows him to stand undefeated.

Yang Yu takes a deep breath, dealing with Ammonval’s attacks, the scorching air burning his lungs.

The harsh environment and continuous combat continually increase Yang Yu’s stamina consumption.

Compared to Ammonval, Yang Yu’s endurance is quite high.

However, if dragged into a one-on-one endurance battle, Yang Yu still has a high chance of losing; the only winning chance is for Yang Yu to keep his blood volume in a relatively low range, triggering the title ’Unyielding to Despair,’ using double speed and ’Fury Blood’s’ high true damage to determine the victory.

But Yang Yu is unsure of how many trump cards Ammonval has or whether he can resist most of his attacks.

Perhaps what he perceives as a winning chance is merely an illusion.

Fortunately, Yang Yu is not alone.

Now Bai Jin is by his side, able to clear the increasingly accumulating flames, and Iyas and the others should soon arrive to engage in battle, adding to the combat power.

Although it’s still unknown what method Ammonval used to prematurely trigger ’Boiling Blood,’ that method should have side effects.

When the side effects begin to show, it should create ample opportunities to suppress him.

No, even without side effects, just having one or two more people would be enough to suppress him.

Yang Yu has absolute confidence in his allies’ strength.

The question is, will Ammonval allow them to drag it out until then?

Ammonval’s attack becomes increasingly aggressive, bombarding Yang Yu with skills both seen and unseen.

Yang Yu is fully in the zone, concentrating, memorizing each skill Ammonval uses, updating his combat memory regarding Ammonval.

The longer Ammonval fights with Yang Yu, the more he notices Yang Yu’s special qualities.

If at first Ammonval had uncertainties about how Yang Yu precisely seized opportunities, now those doubts have completely vanished.

”I see, that’s how it is.

This is his true strength?

Speaking of which...

Demon Clan cadres who had been injured had talked about it; Tian Hanxue conversed with them for a long time.

Though back then Tian Hanxue’s report was about probing for any useful information.

But now it seems, that little girl probably fell in love with this kid at first sight.

Trying to persuade him over, only to fall into his trap.”

Ammonval murmurs to himself, his intuition pointing out the correct answer after the Tian Hanxue capture incident,

”I can understand.

To have a strong person with such capabilities.

No, a strong among the strongest.

Anyone who sees him would be thrilled!

Me too!

If he follows the rules and fights a fair duel with me.

This would be an incredibly exciting battle.

However, he uses such despicable means.

Even Tian Hanxue couldn’t convince him, so naturally, I can’t.

He is the enemy! A true enemy!

Such an enemy only has value in being defeated!”

Ammonval exhaled flames again, coordinating the long sword with other weapons, expertly using every Skill to execute Yang Yu.

Yang Yu couldn’t discern Ammonval’s thoughts through the expression under his flame helmet.

He is fully focused on the battle.

He estimates the cooldown of each weapon skill, waiting for Ammonval to use the weapon’s active skill, wary of Ammonval’s yet-to-be-seen Skills.

Ammonval’s output capability is astonishing, with many abilities yet to be displayed.

Yang Yu no longer recklessly lowers his Blood Volume, even relying on Potions to keep it around 70%.

This Blood Volume conveniently allows him, after using a series of blood-draining Skills, to trigger [Fury Blood], providing significant margin when facing unknown attacks.

Yang Yu dodged Ammonval’s long sword as if dancing.

Ammonval laughed with a hehe from his mouth, maintaining his attack while speaking to Yang Yu:

”You are indeed strong!

If you don’t use any despicable moves, you alone might compel me to use eighty percent of my strength!

But this ends now!

It’s time to decide the winner; being pushed to this extent by you all is something to be proud of.”

Yang Yu and his team responded brilliantly, thanks to which Ammonval’s[Boiling Blood]effect triggered prematurely has already mostly elapsed.

Continuing further, if anything unexpected happens and Yang Yu and his team escape, it would be a grave loss.

Ammonval decided to determine the victory with the next few moves.

Yang Yu saw Ammonval raise his hammer, knowing Ammonval intended to use the Flame Hammer effect again.

From Ammonval’s performance earlier, the hammer’s active Skill can bind a person in place, tearing half of their dual Defense during its sustained duration.

Not knowing how long this effect would last, Yang Yu hurriedly used[Protective Assistance Charge]to rush beside Bai Jin the first time Ammonval used this Skill, blocking Ammonval’s attack for her.

At that time, Yang Yu was sure if Ammonval found an opportunity, he would use various Skills to relentlessly attack Bai Jin, leaving her with scars when he goes to rescue her.

Thought the weapon with such a strong control would have a long cooldown, but it could be used again within a mere ten minutes.

Is it like Iyas’s[Holy Light Acceleration Stone], Equipment that can be used continuously but requires significant charging time?

Yang Yu couldn’t confirm.

A Ghost Shadow flickered past Yang Yu from behind; under the Skill of Ghost Dance, Yang Yu’s legs burst into incredible Speed, rushing toward Ammonval, attempting to intervene with[Taunt]before Ammonval swung his hammer down.

Ammonval had anticipated Yang Yu’s reaction at seeing this action, just as Yang Yu was devising strategies against his combat style, Ammonval was devising strategies to counter Yang Yu.

He fiercely stabbed the sharp long sword into the ground, and countless flames emerged under Ammonval, completely engulfing him.

Ammonval’s body emitted a bright glow, with heat so intense it transformed the ground beneath him into scorching lava.

Yang Yu couldn’t see Ammonval’s actions through the blazing flames; he couldn’t risk rushing into the inferno and being roasted alive, to stop Ammonval from releasing that weapon Skill.

Without hesitation, Yang Yu decided to do the opposite, using[Support Rush]to run toward Bai Jin, distancing himself from Ammonval.

Through the pervasive flame Magic Power, Ammonval locked onto Yang Yu’s position and swung his heavy hammer down.

Like with Bai Jin at that moment, a massive gravity suddenly weighed on Yang Yu’s shoulders, with a powerful Strength instantly tearing through Yang Yu’s Defense.

Though difficult to move, and some Skill icons dimmed, it didn’t mean he couldn’t do anything.

Yang Yu switched[Broken Cocoon Butterfly]to its egg form, ready for Life Value recovery.

After controlling Yang Yu, Ammonval didn’t hold back, a mass of Ghost Fire appeared beside Yang Yu, and Ammonval swapped places with it, arriving beside Yang Yu.

Ammonval’s body was brightly lit, and the temperature he emitted was indescribable, like a piece of glowing iron, with no features visible on his body, and all his weapons shining as if ready to pierce anything.

Yang Yu had a feeling, if he used[Broken Cocoon Butterfly]to block Ammonval’s attack, not only would[Broken Cocoon Butterfly]be cleaved into two, his arm would also be cleaved, burning to ashes.

He didn’t attempt an attack, nor spent time examining Ammonval’s Status info; Yang Yu focused wholeheartedly on Defense.

Flames rose beside Ammonval again, creating a powerful attraction.

This time the attraction was stronger than ever; even if Yang Yu found a way to escape the Flame Hammer Skill’s Control, he definitely couldn’t escape this Skill.

Ammonval recited his must-kill skill name, a skill he hadn’t used for a long time, other than the Demon King, no one survived it:

”[Instant Kill—

Burning Star Hexagram Slash!]”

Heat surged forward, Yang Yu knew he couldn’t dodge; even if he felt he truly might lose his hand, he could only use[Broken Cocoon Butterfly]’s egg form active effect under the strong Control, and painstakingly raise his Shield for Defense.

”Crack—” As Ammonval grasped six weapons, sparks flew!
