Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Before Ammonval finished speaking, Yang Yu suddenly accelerated, and with a swish, he appeared in front of Ammonval, stabbing the sharp sword blade toward the disc.

Although he didn’t know the exact effect of the disc, Yang Yu’s intuition told him that the best way was to completely knock the disc away at this moment!

The Autumn Leaf Blade whipped up a tornado, launching an attack from the side to cooperate with Yang Yu’s actions.

Ammonval was completely unprepared.

The tornado on the Autumn Leaf Blade scratched countless scars on Ammonval’s body, and as soon as the blood from Ammonval’s wounds came into contact with the air, it instantly turned into blazing flames.

Yang Yu’s sword accurately pierced the disc on Ammonval’s waist, and the disc flew several meters away in an instant.

”It’s useless; you cannot stop it!

Even if you knocked it away earlier, the result would be the same!

Even if I didn’t actively activate it, the impact of your previous strike was enough to trigger the unstable state of the [Flame Roulette].”

With a swing of the black tachi, Ammonval slashed towards Yang Yu, who raised his sword to counter.

The crisp sound of metal clashing rang out repeatedly.

The disc flying in mid-air was surrounded by numerous fiery red ring-shaped magic arrays, spinning at high speed like a coin hanging in mid-air, scattering flames quickly in all directions.

The scorching flames, indiscriminate of friend or foe, burned everything they encountered, clinging like a festering wound, and climbing onto the surrounding Demon Soldiers.

Demon Soldiers not strong enough screamed miserably, burning up like paper.

Activating [Breaking Cauldrons and Sinking Boats], significantly increasing strength, Yang Yu knocked away Ammonval’s weapon and retreated continuously, distancing himself from Ammonval.

Ammonval raised his magic wand, and the flying flames coalesced into a Fire Snake, rushing towards Yang Yu with countless flames.

Raising his shield, the Illusion Shield formed in front of Yang Yu, and Qiuye stopped attacking, hiding behind Yang Yu.

The two retreated along the direction of the surging flames, distancing themselves from Ammonval.

The Demon King, ruling over the Demon World, possesses countless secret treasures.

To ensure the success of this invasion, he would surely give the most suitable equipment or tools to the Four Heavenly Kings, arming them to the teeth.

The Four Heavenly Kings of this world aren’t fools who hold onto certain things at the moment of life and death without using them, giving them to the main character in a package.

Yang Yu had a hunch that if Ammonval really faced mortal danger, he would definitely destroy everything he could, and what he couldn’t destroy, he would toss into a different space, leaving nothing for Yang Yu.

Every weapon used by Ammonval was of the highest quality. Especially that saber which could cut through magic; obtaining it would increase the odds against the Demon King.

But...

After much effort, just as the plan was near completion, an unexpected change occurred.

Even Yang Yu could clearly feel the change in magical power in the air, which was definitely not a natural phenomenon.

The disc hanging on Ammonval’s body needed a lot of time to activate, and this strange magic fluctuation allowed the disc to complete charging ahead of time!

In the sky, Bai Jin and He Meng, overseeing the entire battlefield, could see the flames emitted by the [Flame Roulette], consuming countless Demon Soldiers, like a meteor half a river wide, plunging into a dry riverbed, creating a barren sea of fire.

Iyas and the others heading towards Yang Yu were also caught in the conflagration, but fortunately, they were far from the center of the flame explosion. Iyas raised a shield for himself and Lotcar, colliding with the startled Demon Soldier units with the flames.

Rising from Lotcar’s back, Iyas stood, feeling the hot wind on his face, the towering flames like buildings making them feel insignificant.

”He Meng! Protect me!”

Calling out to He Meng not far away, Bai Jin raised the magic wand [Sigh Seed] high, and countless intricate magic arrays rapidly unfolded in the sky.

The flames released by the [Flame Roulette] were of super large magic caliber; to counter super large magic, one must use super large magic.

Just as the complex magic technique unfolded, Bai Jin suddenly realized that the operation speed of super large magic was much faster than before.

Unfortunately, regardless of how fast Bai Jin prepared his magic, it couldn’t be faster than the teleportation gate that Ammonval released at the center of the scorching flames.

”I will remember everything about today.

Even if I can’t deal with you alone, Lord Demon King will surely have a way to deal with you.

Next time will be your death day!”

Ammonval murmured to himself, stepping through the teleportation gate wreathed in blazing flames, disappearing from the battlefield.

Demon Clan Officers with flame sensing abilities quickly realized this situation, ordering the main force to disperse and break through individually, simultaneously buying time to escape.

Yang Yu and his team performed outstandingly; even Lord Ammonval had to flee. Continuing to fight could lead to unimaginable consequences.

Only by scattering and escaping could they grasp a sliver of hope for survival.

In a flash, the Demon King Army split into countless streams, rushing toward all directions.

Waving the magic wand, Bai Jin unleashed a brilliant blue light from the magic array in the sky, and a giant water dragon emerged from the array, pouncing onto the blazing area.

When fire and water met, overwhelming steam dispersed, enveloping the entire battlefield.

Yang Yu and Qiuye had long since left the flames, the two bathing in the steam that swept over like a giant wave.

The intense blaze flickered and extinguished under Bai Jin’s super large magic.

A few Demon Soldiers covering the rear took advantage of the spreading fog to surge toward Yang Yu and the others.

They were merely courting death.

Without Yang Yu needing to take action, Qiuye’s sharp dagger sliced through the fog, dividing the approaching Demon Soldiers in two.

Qiuye closed her eyes, just like her father taught her, using her mind’s eye to observe and sense everything around her.

But no one approached anymore.

Whether it was the Demon Soldiers or Ammonval, all vanished from Qiuye’s perception.

Despite evident flaws during the retreat, not once did Ammonval attack.

Yang Yu gazed ahead, his hand gripping the sword tightly, then after a while, as if relieved, loosened it, sheathing the blade:

”The battle is over.

Prepare, we need to evacuate from here.”

”Is it really over?” Qiuye asked, not sure what expression to make, ”Did he manage to escape? It’s rare to push him to such a state...

Won’t dealing with him next time be more difficult?”

Yang Yu didn’t answer, he just moved silently, intending to reach an open area and convey his instructions to the others.

Although Yang Yu didn’t answer, Qiuye had already drawn conclusions from Yang Yu’s actions and expressions.

Whether or not the strategy could be made simpler hinged on finding the strategy method going forward.

...

...

”Running away decisively saved me a lot of trouble.

No need to reveal my identity.”

Not far from the battlefield, on a pile of rocks, a frivolous silhouette satisfactorily folded her wings and walked toward a nearby labyrinth.

Using a teleportation array hidden within the labyrinth, the frivolous silhouette vanished without a trace.

She returned to their temporary stronghold, waiting for the next sortie.
