Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

After receiving help from the All Things Library, Yang Yu told the Council President that if there was a [Fairy’s Magic Stone], the success rate of the plan would greatly increase, hinting wildly at the Council President.

The Council President slowly sighed, realizing that Yang Yu had the idea of using the [Fairy’s Magic Stone] from the outset, but only refrained from mentioning it because bringing it up alongside those matters would reduce the success rate.

In such critical times, [Fairy’s Magic Stone] is considered an important strategic resource.

In peacetime, the All Things Library exchanges a large amount of gold coins by selling [Fairy’s Magic Stone], alleviating the Library’s finances.

Due to the events of two years ago, the quantity of [Fairy’s Magic Stone] acquired by the All Things Library significantly decreased.

To deal with the Demon King’s invasion, the All Things Library reduced the export of [Fairy’s Magic Stone], barely retaining some stock.

But those [Fairy’s Magic Stones] are prepared for the Demon King’s sudden attack...

After some contemplation, the Council President decided to have Yang Yu talk with the King of the Fairy Kingdom. If the King could provide [Fairy’s Magic Stone], they wouldn’t have to use those strategic resources, and if the King couldn’t spare any extra, he would then try to persuade others to contribute some of their stored [Fairy’s Magic Stones] to assist Yang Yu.

Yang Yu fully accepted the Council President’s proposal.

By coincidence, he also wanted to revisit the ruins of Fairyland to see if he could find anything more.

...

Meanwhile, somewhere atop a cliff.

A rugged-looking man sat on a massive stone, gazing at the village below the cliff, with an extremely strange pattern on the back of his hand.

——In the center was a circle connected by countless branching limbs, and the limbs formed another circle on the perimeter.

”What in the world has happened...”

The man muttered to himself.

The language he used was not of this world, but an older, nearly forgotten tongue.

After leaving the castle that had turned to ruins, the rugged man wandered for a long time.

Many terrains seemed familiar to him, but everything had long changed; he couldn’t find any of his compatriots, nor any enemies.

While there were many races created for battle, they no longer engaged in any combat, but lived in utter peace.

In the villages he passed, not one person had the emblem of ”Luka” imprinted on their hands.

The Luka Teachings he once followed had completely disappeared.

”Truly, nothing was left behind.

...Did we fail?

How many years have passed since then?

If we failed, what is the purpose of my existence?”

The rugged man raised his hand, looking at the pattern on the back of it.

As usual, he searched for answers to various questions in his mind, gradually recalling events of the past.

His name was Sol Rott.

He was born in a rather chaotic era.

At that time, humans had already split into several factions, not only the new and old Luka Dogma Sect but also the Liberation Faction, Conservative Faction, Retro Faction...

In Sol Rott’s childhood, it was said that long ago, all adults had the ”Luka” emblem etched on their hands.

The emblem was more than decorative; it was also for drawing wisdom from ”Luka.”

Sol Rott also heard that long, long ago, everyone was eligible to inherit all their predecessors’ wisdom, delve into their preferred knowledge, and then become pioneers of new knowledge.

But due to a certain event, humans had a major rift, leading to unprecedented conflict...the society where adults could freely enjoy knowledge vanished completely, replaced by a myriad of problems.

From a very young age, Sol Rott longed for such a world.

Upon coming of age, he believed everyone should return to their original positions, rather than be deluded and manipulated by certain elements.

So he joined the army, wanting to do his part to restore order, leading everyone back to that time.

Unfortunately...

Adhering to the most original teachings, they were besieged by allied forces from various factions, getting worse over time.

Many criticized their doctrine as stubborn, outdated, inflexible, lacking in any romanticism.

But Sol Rott felt that living in this world, facing its most genuine side, was an unparalleled form of romance.

To use one’s hands and mind to change certain things was the essence of romance.

To fulfill his ideals, Sol Rott became the purest soldier. He believed that those who shared his thoughts would surely provide the most accurate directives, leading them towards a truly bright future, returning to past prosperity.

Alas, the pressures of reality were too immense.

Under mounting pressures, his organization had to restart a plan called Grude.

The plan was intended to ”combat humanity’s ultimate enemy by creating weapons that could switch between Magic Beast and Subhuman forms.”

Yet now the plan was being used for internecine warfare.

In Sol Rott’s era, using created ”battle weapons” was not unusual.

On the contrary, those like him, fighting in human form, were the anomalies.

Upon learning of the plan, Sol Rott immediately volunteered for it. In his view, achieving their ideal justified becoming such a weapon.

But initially, Sol Rott was not selected.

The revived Grude Plan had many flaws.

After all, the Grude Plan had been sealed because the produced battle weapons had numerous defects.

However, the Grude Plan held limitless potential.

The ultimate goal of the Grude Plan was to produce a giant dragon.

...A giant dragon that could switch between human and dragon forms.

At that time, Sol Rott was still young; his superior told him that youth was like sunrise, and if mistakes were to be made, it should start with their older generation trying first. Once the plan succeeded, they could step in, avoiding many detours.

Sol Rott waited for a full thirty years.

He transformed from an ambitious young man to a stubbly uncle.

During these thirty years, his organization miraculously resisted attacks from all sides, yet the downward trend was unavoidable.

Out of desperation, his superior activated the final plan, pouring all resources into creating a cultivation chamber.

This time, Sol Rott finally had the fortune to be chosen.
